From MI6 to the CIA, never has there been such rigid protection of confidential information than that surrounding Mark’s initial Fantasy squad. So, when super-secret agent himself joined me in the studio for our first podcast of the season, I was resigned to getting thrown the odd teasing titbit but little else.

However, it was to my very great surprise that he’d gone and left the proverbial back door open, there, “live” on air, he handed me a laptop giving me open access to his team on screen right in front of me. Since I was already in the house, he reluctantly decided to show me around.

An unexpected twist to our first podcast of the season and, dare I say it, a rare privilege for the listener.

  Tough one. Depends on how strong your squad is, if you have a decent option most weeks and you dont have to play the 4.5 then go B by all means but if not, then you know what to do.

  Ive got Malouda Yaya and Bent. Drogba will definitely be rotated with Torres at some stage and I see Yaya racking up the bonus. Bent is a no brainer. If anyone is to get points in Villa, it has to be him. As for Malouda, hes in the attacking 3 so he should get an assist here and there

  Youve covered pretty much everything, I'm not sold on Carroll but thats a matter of opinion. You could save a bit on your defence if you really wanted to but otherwise it looks good.

Swansea defense is giving me a real headache.

I know two starters will be Williams and Rangel, then there's 4 players fighting it out for two spots with every single one in with a chance.

Caulker - Loanee from Spurs, new signing
Tate - Vice captain, can play center or left back
Taylor - Suspended first gameweek, but likely to slot in at left back if available.
Monk - Last year's first choice CB alongside Williams. Injured, but his return could see him get back in the team.

    He's a new signing, every fan wants/thinks the new signing will play.
    Their most recent lineup was Rangel, Tate, Williams, Taylor.
    I think that'll most likely be their first choice lineup at least until Monk returns, but then again, you can't be sure.

2.5mil in the bank.

For a while I was set on getting a 12.0 forward and maybe mid as well so I wasn't priced out of anyone, but the money in the bank helps avoid that. Really fancy all three strikers early on, room for RVP down the line. To compensate I thought about Walcott, but the money Ramsey leaves free made up my mind. Also leaves the Baines option open.

Malouda is the one player who worries me, but I've gotta have the Drog and two may be overkill.

small dilemma here
Which of the newly promoted 5.5m strikers should i buy. My thinking is that with dj campbell there are too many stars in the team with taarabt and bothroyd stealling the limelight. Which leaves me to choose from graham and holt. Any advice would be very much be appreciated guys.

  Holt is the preferred option generally. DJ has Prem experience, but may be forced out wide and has others like you said who may impede (to be fair he fared well alongside Adam last year, but still). Holt is also on penalties and is his club's captain and main man.
