From MI6 to the CIA, never has there been such rigid protection of confidential information than that surrounding Mark’s initial Fantasy squad. So, when super-secret agent himself joined me in the studio for our first podcast of the season, I was resigned to getting thrown the odd teasing titbit but little else.

However, it was to my very great surprise that he’d gone and left the proverbial back door open, there, “live” on air, he handed me a laptop giving me open access to his team on screen right in front of me. Since I was already in the house, he reluctantly decided to show me around.

An unexpected twist to our first podcast of the season and, dare I say it, a rare privilege for the listener.

      Well (trying to pick self up), he still looks the best value route into the Fulham attack. Dempsey overpriced now he'll be pushed up less, and Bobby more consistent that Duff or Murphy.
      
      Still though, bit of a dampner...

        I'm a big fan of Bobby Z, as a Brighton fan he will always have a special place in my heart. But he's never done me proud in FPL. I think Duff is probably the most consistent value performer in the Fulham attack. Been doing well in Euro as well. Much prefer him to Bobby Z.

        What are peoples thoughts on AJ? Good value at £5.5m. Will he start up front with Zamora? I currently have a midfield of Malouda/Taarabt/Moses/Ramsey/Sessegnon with Rooney/Bent/AJ up front. I like Zamora but would have to downgrade my midfield.

    Given fixtures decent first few weeks, got money in Bank. Boswinga was my doubt but taking a gamble, Hughes a sure starter and Fulham solid last season, Enrique will be coming into defence and possibly utd defender when we see who's starting

is going with Cech a solid move?

reasoning is simple to me, should play all 38 and saves 0.5mil and gets the same clean sheet points, just misses out on bonus.

I'd run Ivanovic if I knew he'd appear in most/all games, but I'ma bit lost on how all those Chelsea defenders will rotate.

  Moses is basically a cheap mid who'll play and has a decent chance of getting something. Everyone's trying to squeeze the most out of their finances and he fits the bill - good fixtures and played well pre-season.

  i can see dempsey being subbed in jol's system, too overpriced when there are plenty of cheaper mf options that will post same or better pts. kuyt, mr. consistent w/fpl pts. but too expensive when you have the likes of nani in the same price range. carroll, suarez, downing, adam all same price or cheaper for liverpool coverage.

Hey lads, been going crazy trying to get my team ready for this saturday. Anyone have any thoughts on this setup?

Given
Kompany Clichy, rotate in Gabbidon, Da Leat, and Simpson
Malouda, Nani, Silva(C), Moses (Ramsey or Taarabat)
Bent, Carroll(V), and Holt

Obviously defense is a little weak, but with Kompany and Clichy (a bit of a gamble being from the same team) back there and rotating in depending on fixtures the other three, I think it can work. I'm still deciding between Ramsey and Taarabat, I think Taarabat might offer better returns, but losing Ramsey, I lose Arsenal coverage. And with that said, I'm undecided if I should sit Ramsey/Taarabat, Moses, and Holt. For this weeks fixtures any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

  I'd go for moses until the arsenal team settles down. Wigan have an easy start. You need another stong defender as clichy will be rotated with kolarov.

  You are allowed 1 free transfer per GW unless you dont use your transfer from the week prior, then you are allowed 2 free transfers. You can only build up 2 free transfers, you can't save up 3 week plus transfers. Every extra transfer is a 4pt hit.
