From MI6 to the CIA, never has there been such rigid protection of confidential information than that surrounding Mark’s initial Fantasy squad. So, when super-secret agent himself joined me in the studio for our first podcast of the season, I was resigned to getting thrown the odd teasing titbit but little else.

However, it was to my very great surprise that he’d gone and left the proverbial back door open, there, “live” on air, he handed me a laptop giving me open access to his team on screen right in front of me. Since I was already in the house, he reluctantly decided to show me around.

An unexpected twist to our first podcast of the season and, dare I say it, a rare privilege for the listener.

Stupid to not have Taarabt? Think he can be a fpl start this season, but the extra 0,5 he costs over O'Hara/Sinclair is making it hard to fit him inn.

Here's my starting team - this is it FINAL DECISION (of course unless games are cancelled etc.). I've had crap starts the last few years and finished the season well, so this year I really want to hit the ground running. Am I onto something this year or deluding myself??

    i would take nasri over silva, he's more of a natural goal scorer who likes to get in the box whereas silva likes to play a bit deeper and pull the strings.

Not convinced about Enrique yet.

Liverpool have tricky fixtures (SUN ars BOL stk tot WOL eve MUN) and even though there are some good homes games in there, I personally think that the tricky away ones out weigh them.

I'll be putting him on the watchlist for a bit. Even in the worst case scenario that he comes in and does amazing and goes up 0.5mil - 6mil will still be a good price if Liverpool are looking good.

  fwiw I have Bramble, Orr, S Taylor but that would make it 0.5 over so you could change Taylor for Simpson to keep in budget.

    Whatever Nasri thinks, it's definitely his bet position and City need someone out there who isn't James Milner.

      If so, N'Zogbia's likely to out-score him frequently.
      
      Also depends on your forwards of course. I'd consider Downing at that price too! 🙂

  I have him in my team at the moment instead of Malouda or Lamps.
  
  Really having a hard time leaving Lamps out though, but my head keeps telling me that he's 33 now and is probably going to start declining so is not worth £12M.

  Must admit my inclination is to agree with you. The pundit suggested a couple of options in each position, not a list of who to get. Why bother with all the pre season research if ffs are just going to tell people what you do. At this rate it is fpl by pictures. Thought more of Mark et al but at least they seem happy.
