From MI6 to the CIA, never has there been such rigid protection of confidential information than that surrounding Mark’s initial Fantasy squad. So, when super-secret agent himself joined me in the studio for our first podcast of the season, I was resigned to getting thrown the odd teasing titbit but little else.

However, it was to my very great surprise that he’d gone and left the proverbial back door open, there, “live” on air, he handed me a laptop giving me open access to his team on screen right in front of me. Since I was already in the house, he reluctantly decided to show me around.

An unexpected twist to our first podcast of the season and, dare I say it, a rare privilege for the listener.

    I tried taking cover mostly from the top4 times..

    Enrique/Cole/Kompany/Simpson/De laet
    Taarabt/Nzogbia/Nani/Moses/Downing
    RVP/Drogba/Lita
    this way I have attacking cover from Chelsea,Arsenal,Manchester and Liverpool..
    Any comments would be appreciated

      I don't think lita will start for Swansea initially, I think he's been signed as cover or if we change from 4-5-1, but I guess that's limited by funds.

      I think people forget how fragile RVP really is. It was a gamble to go with him starting GW1 in the first place due to Arsenal's bad fixtures but now with him injured (along with everyone else), I'd say that waiting till GW4 for "any" Arsenal player is now the only sensible option (but thats just my opinion).

          Ya, he is the only player I'm tempted on putting in my squad because of his price and also partly due to favourtism since he has been a favorite player of mine for a couple years now.

          If I did, I would only play him this weekend and then bench him until GW4, so i dont know if its worth it.

            I just can't see it. Downing has no soul, no spark, no emotion...nothing against him, I just am not sold. Carroll definitely can be dangerous, but he's scout easy; get underneath him, crowd him...nudge him before his leap, and he does sketchy s**t like against the Valencia last week. I do rate his foot better than most think though.

        Shame - all i can find is last year ashley young was most fouled, but no conversion rate for direct free kicks. I'm suprised noone has made more of this as its way more of a game changer than the bonus system

          If you're a member you can look and see the amount of goals scored from direct free kicks and do a bit of correlation/estimation between that and foul stats.

      Nice team. a slight concern over having taraabt and sinclair. i know they rotate well, so thats a good thing, but still the lack of prem experience might show.

      I say start Ramsey, he will see a lot of the ball. Besides, he's going to be the only person to actuallly take shots not walked right up to the doorstep. I also think he will eat a lot off of Gervinho on that left side.
