From MI6 to the CIA, never has there been such rigid protection of confidential information than that surrounding Mark’s initial Fantasy squad. So, when super-secret agent himself joined me in the studio for our first podcast of the season, I was resigned to getting thrown the odd teasing titbit but little else.

However, it was to my very great surprise that he’d gone and left the proverbial back door open, there, “live” on air, he handed me a laptop giving me open access to his team on screen right in front of me. Since I was already in the house, he reluctantly decided to show me around.

An unexpected twist to our first podcast of the season and, dare I say it, a rare privilege for the listener.

      Too many risks. Bosingwa will be good for GW 1 but after that?

      Senderos as well is a risk. Nani has much more offensive potential than Kuyt too.

        I think Bos will be ok unitl wk 4 as two easy homers to follow

        Senderos was good before injury, and good pre season so think he will be ok too. (id be happy with Orr or Simpson this week anyway)

        I agree about Nani, but better fixture for Kuyt, and on pens for the moment. I dont want Nani and Rooney with the badish fixtures.

        Andy Johnson is only 5.5, what could go wrong. If Zamora was on pens he would be worth the 1.5 more. But he's not. He will be benched for Sinclair next GW anyway

          Holt or Campbell is much safer.

          Interesting and logical take on Bosingwa. I don't like the idea of having to make a transfer fairly soon to get him replaced though, and knowing how things are going to go, I'll struggle to raise the money.

    Podcast is excellent. I always enjoy listening. Can't wait to see the scouts' teams!

    Also, had a bit of a nostalgic moment looking back on the first season I played and quit after the first 5 weeks. It was 5 years ago...

    I remember the cheapest defenders were 3.5! Henry I think was in the game too, priced at 14.0.

      Blackburn don't score goals so I wouldn't have any offensive player from their side- regardless of price...Downing's not going to hog all set-pieces with Adam about so is an expensive luxury at that price...Kopmpany's never going to score a goal.
      Apart from that, I like.

        i don't have kompany for goals, just cleanies. not worried about set pieces w/downing, just his overall contribution and crosses in. he looks sharp so far and is the cheapest liverpool coverage option. i don't plan on starting goodwillie, just a back up starter who migt auto-sub in and frees up the cash for the rest of the team. who knows, if he does well he might go up in value allowing me to make some $ off him. thanks for the input.
