The second day of the 2011/12 Premier League season sees two of the main title contenders in action. The new Chelsea boss, Andre Villas-Boas, has a tough first competitive assignment at the Britannia Stadium, to take on Tony Pulis’ Stoke City. Following that, the reigning Champions Manchester United are also on the road, with The Baggies waiting for them at The Hawthorns.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open for business as usual, so come in, take a seat and hope we see an improvement on yesterday’s events (both before and during the games)…

News from the Britannia has filtered through, and there’s a debut for Stoke City centre-back Jonathan Woodgate. He plays in a 4-4-2 that sees Jon Walters partner Kenwyne Jones up front.

For the visitors, Fernando Torres is passed fit and plays at the expense of Didier Drogba. The Spaniard is flanked by Florent Malouda and Salomon Kalou.

    Still think kalou is good anyone??? Shawcross should be off already for second booking for tripping Ashley cole hen he was through but we don't get those decisions.

    Malouda truly is the most boring thing you can buy for 10.5m. You know he might give you some points but you might as well skip the game because he will never LOOK like doing anything.

          Agreed. He's playing pretty deep aswell and staying out wide. Credit to stoke though, they've played well.

            Definitely. Will have a long look at their players when fixtures ease up, they look just as solid and strong as you'd expect them to.

      Torres has looked really good so far. created half chances for himself out of nothing, could easily have scored a wonder goal there if shawcross hadnt got a nick on that. Im not sure what more you can ask for when he is being given zero service!

    When I hover over the points for my team the time of the match is an hour behind. I tried changing my time zone but it doesn't work. Is anyone elses the same and how can I change it?
