Petr Cech has been ruled out of action for three to four weeks with a knee injury.

Andre Villas-Boas today confirmed his number one keeper will be unavailable for selection until the end of September:

“Petr Cech yesterday suffered a medial ligament injury and will be out for three to four weeks. It was the end of training, a normal training incident. He fell awkwardly with his weight on top of him. We expected much worse when we saw the incident.”

This should see him miss a run of fixtures that reads (WBA, NOR, sun, mun, SWA). Immediately this brings Hilario and Ross Turnbull into the equation. Hilario was on the bench for the game at Stoke last weekend and, of the two, looks likely to get the nod.

Both come in at 4.5 and with those next two home games in particular catching the eye, some Fantasy managers may be willing to turn their back on nailed-on, pricier options such as John Terry and Ashley Cole and take a punt- Chelsea are strong favourites to pick up clean sheets in both fixtures.

Cech will now be removed from the Watchlist in due course.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Having seen a few RMTs here including Bosingwa, how certain can we be that he's going to retain his place in the starting 11 now that Ivanovic returns? Apart from Terry and Cashley, it seems too difficult for now to predict the Chelsea back four.

Got that problem myself. Cheap way into the Chelsea back four, but maybe better with Cole in the long run. Even if Bosingwa starts this weeken, he might be back on the bench next gameweek.

I may switch to Vidic later, so having Cole now reminds me to keep money there for him.

Think Bosingwa will play this week/next?

Currently have Bosingwa, Cahill and Bent, but considering changing it to A.Cole, Silva and Saha. Afraid Bos might be benched.

Also: N'Zogbia + Bent kinda overkill?

So you think Bosingwa, Cahill and Bent is a better trio then Cole, Silva and Saha? First one gives me two offensive players for Villa. Could change Bent with Suarez, but then the second trio might be better again. This is giving me a headache.

Anyone else juts picking a team to score high for GW 2 + 3 and then wildcarding after international break? No doubt be injuries so could be a good time time to play it

I think a lot of people originally had that plan but since the 'free wildcard' have opted to wait longer... but I do have it as a backup plan should GW2 & 3 go tits up.

thought about it, but if the team scores well, why burn the wildcard so soon? Last year I played my first wildcard as the GW-25-58 one and then my second later on when a DGW came up.

I would save my WC for when injuries and loss of form pile up forcing you to make may be 5 or 6 immediate changes...

Anyone finding that this unlimited transfer situation is only helping those teams that did well in GW1? I got off to a horrible start, bottom of my mini-league with 33 points (leader has 61).

Was hoping to catch up this week with as my team was stronger for the coming weeks - I have Malouda - and no one else had any Chelsea attacking cover, so now they will all bring him in. Someone has Cech who they are going to be able to replace for free.

Perhaps would have been better to reset the whole game from GW2?

Having a bit of a tough time deciding this. Here's the team so far, and I need to choose between two alternate scenarios.

    G: Given (Vorn)
D: Kompany, Jagielka, Hughes, Jose Enrique (Simpson)
M: Nani, Yaya Toure, Moses (Tiote)
    F: Rooney, Aguero

Now do I go for N'Zogbia as my 5th mid and Saha/Odemwingie as my 3rd striker, or Formica as my 5th mid and Suarez as my 3rd striker?

it is simple - if Macini goes more attack minded he'll go with two up top and Yaya will play deeper and not have to get forward as much.

If he goes defensive, with one up top, it will give Yaya more license to get forward and support the attacks

    Unrelated, but I need advice.

I have a mini league with about 70 players in it, a couple of those in the league are calling for the scoring to start from GW 2 (curiously they haven’t scored too well). The league has been going for the past 4 seasons and is quite the ‘bragging rights’ league.

Would you, if you were in my shoes, start scoring from GW 2?

I don’t wish to annoy those who couldn’t sign in but I also don’t wish to annoy those who planned ahead, spotted talent and scored well.

I have a thought along these lines which I voiced above.

Because they are giving everyone free transfers I think that the league should start from GW2 - it is a completely level playing field.

Those teams that got off to a good start are going to get the benefit of tweaking their team even more. I was set for an average GW1, but a god GW2 and 3 and that advantage has bee nullified by unlimited transfers...

Evening everyone, few quick questions to assist with my (second) final team! I have decided to go with a big front 3, which obviously impacts on the rest of the side.
1/. Chelsea defence - are Alex and Bosingwa nailed on for the foreseeable?
2/. Best 4.5 midfielder? I have currently got N Dyer but thinking about Fox.
3/. Is Ramsey worth a shout or is there a better mid in the same price bracket?

1/ Bosingwa moreso than Alex I think
2/ Probably Dyer, but I wouldn't like to have such a cheap midfielder in there. Rather have two cheap defenders and a cheap striker.
3/No, better options for now. My favourite is Sessegnon.

If anybody genuinely couldn't log in and was affected by this, I'd consider starting from gw2.

That way, everyone starts on a level playing-field and no one can make any excuses. If you do that, though, I'd write your intentions in the forum and explain your rationale.

Sunderland vs Newcastle could be a heavy carded game, so I'm reluctant to have any of their players fielded.

Suarez has 3 away games in the next 4, so I'm hanging fire.

Apart from that, like the rest, although Rooney has some tough games too.

I have a similar team with kompany and yaya, and was aiming to work out how to get that front 3 without midfield suffering. You seem to have done it, nice job.

One thing I don't get is why is Moses in so many teams. I know he's an attacking player and he's cheap but he hardly gets any games? Are they having an injury problem, is this just a short term thing and replace him once their fixtures ease up?
