Members Area and ICT Updated – Gameweek Two

The Members Area has had its final stats update following the 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge. Those digesting the data from today’s earlier kick-offs can now drown in all the stats, including updated ICT Index scores for the Gameweek so far.

Members should click on the “Latest Gameweek” tab on the dashboard to view this week’s top 10’s and use the Gameweek filter dropdown to select “Current Gameweek” when viewing the stats tables. ICT Index scores are available via the Fantasy Index tab in the Player tables.

Just as we did for Gameweek one, Members can read on for our take of the performances of note to this point…

    Hey why dont EPL have games Friday and Saturday nights in UK?

    1 game Friday night - 7.30pm kickoff
    4 games Sat arvo - 3pm kickoff
    1 game Sat evening twilight 5.30pm
    1 game Sat night 7.30pm
    2 games Sunday early and late afternoon
    1 game Monday night

    I thought that'd be a great timeslot for TV audiences, big ratings, more cash etc

    sorry, am not being critical, just trying to understand the reasoning behind it

          The light is irrelevant 😛 It's the fact that so many people go out on a saturday night that pulling police off the streets and to football games would cause lots of trouble.

              Well not because they think it will, but they need the police there in case it does.

              Any big crowd situation like that requires a pretty heavy police presence, and friday and saturday nights they don't really have the manpower because they also need to be on the streets.

      Sadly policing the games would be an issue. They quite often have friday evening games in the championship.

      They also want to do what they can to ensure that attendances dont fall as a result of the tv scheduling - thats why they don't show any games at 3pm I think?

              Well the rights for broadcasting aren't sold in this country, currently - but that could all be set to change. I'm not sure i'd entirely describe it as being illegal.

              What I meant anyway is that the reasoning behind it think was to protect attendances.

    Last wk had habsi in goal and given on bench so decided to be cute this wk and brought in Hilario(Hilarious me) and cheapie but benchable peno saver Vorm the Worm, and oh yea went with Torres whom i never ever touched before as capt for good measure and now on 16pts and the laughing stock of my mini-league,God bless the unlimited transfers week . . .

                  I was the same mate, had 34 points, now im down to 22! had bosingwa's assist, lampard's assist, and bent's assist just swiped from me, just a glitch though im sure like a few people have said. should get sorted 🙂

    Right my take on the matches today having spent a most productive day watching Arsenal, Everton and Chelsea.

    Arsenal.
    Looked frail, their midfield was a joke. You'd barely have known Walcott was on the pitch. Nasri and Vermaelen were their only players of note.

    Liverpool.
    Defence looked solid and apart from a few long rangers Arsenal never came close. Adam and Carroll looked good, despite no FF hauls, though interestingly Adam wasn't on corners. Suarez, Meireles and Frimpong changed the game, Suarez was sharp as usual and Meireles will be hard to bench in future after playing excellent.

    Everton.
    Overall they were really poor, sloppy passing and never built up much momentum.
    Beckford was absolutely dreadful, constantly gave QPR the ball.
    Cahill was their main threat but missed a sitter.
    Barkley had an excellent debut and a few long rangers.
    Arteta came on but didn't look fit.
    Baines was heavily involved but nothing came off, hit the underside of the bar and had plenty of crosses.

    QPR.
    Didn't play all that well, was more that their opposition was rubbish.
    That said, they defended really well and looked quite solid.
    Must say I saw nothing to justify Taarabt's hype, the lad couldn't even cross a ball from a couple of good positions.

    Chelsea.
    Were absolutely appauling in the first half, I doubt any of them even broke sweat.
    Apart from Alex that is, who was rubbish. Truth be told their whole defense was rubbish, every time WBA sent a long ball in behind, the Chelsea boys looked dodgy. Alex off for Ivanovich around the hour mark means that'll probably be a sign of their lineup next weekend.
    Torres was back to last season's form, naively trying to turn and dribble past 3 players and losing the ball. Anelka and Lampard were probably Chelsea's biggest threats, and they probably should've had a penalty. Kalou was crap, not sure if they got the hook out or if he was injured on 30 minutes, in any case Malouda was an improvement.

    WBA
    Looked fairly decent and compact, completely different to the travelling WBA of last season. Predicatably tried to hit Chelsea on the counter and should've been 2-0 up if Long hadn't screwed up the final square ball.

      I watched all the games too and I agree with it all, nice one. long's square ball was terrible.

      frimpong looked quite good, a bit heavy in tackling though

      meirels is a good player but who do you take out - kuyt? he won't take out downing

      Wathed the Everton - QPR game, agree with what you've said. QPR defended very well and were well disciplined, and they passed the ball very well during parts of the games, not as much punts as usual.

      Baines was one of the best players but can't see him getting bonus, while BArkley who was also very good sent a few shots wide so bonus is unlikely for him as well. Kenny is nailed on imo.

          Smith was pretty un-involved but scored the goal so he probably will get something. Barkley's passing stats will be very good I imagine but he had a few shots off target. Kenny will get 2 or 3 imo.

    I have a great team and got 14 out of 8. Please let me know if you did worse than I did. On the positive side, I can not imagine to do worse than this, the only way is up!

        Came so close to starting Nani, Young, AND Rooney... but thought it would be too risky. With that option, also had Ablongahor. Changed to a Torres, N'Zogbia combination instead. ^%$@^&#$%.

        Of course, also left Vorm on the bench (for Given).

      yep, he just hasn't got any points yet. he may get overshadowered though because adam take the freekicks and corners sometimes and he can pass just as well. I think I'll wait a few weeks and see what is going on there

    Hiya lads, i have a question, why have i now only got 22 points when originally i scored 34 today? it has taken the assist off lampard AND bent!!!!?

    This is where the real FF strategy kicks in, players who picked a decent team should see there scores increase over the coming weeks. Despite the slack start big points wont continue for the likes of Vorm, Simpson etc.

    Well thats been a day to forget. Them unlimited transfers have been horrid! But given the chance again, i would probably make the majority of the same trades. Took Malouda out, had a doubt he would start after the earlyish sub against stoke. Suarez, against Arsenal, maybe a mistake but i was needing funds. Took Long in for West broms run, wasted goals against teams i wouldnt have played him. After gw 1, Simpson would have started but with Jags, Boswinga and Warnock, fixtures dictacted a better chance of cleanie's. 16 points with 3 to play! But far rather it happens gw2 than gw35! Just the way it goes, not my week this time. Part of the game is being able to bounce back after a howler, after the abuse from mates, for the bragging rights come May!

        Exactly. Alot of people not happy at this early stage. I dont even think being 100 points behind going into christmas is that bad a problem. Ofcourse i would rather be ahead. But whoevers ahead by that much has made that gap over 14-16 weeks, there is no reason that gab can't be overhauled in the same space of time by the end of the season. The same people greeting about there scores this week, will be posting every 2 minutes when they score over a ton in a gw!

      Problem is Arsenal are a mess right now.

      If Nasri stays and they get some new players in before window then things will improve.

      Rooney is probably safest big hitter striker to have right now.

      I don't think any player from Arsenal is worth it at the moment. RVP is the best bet, but 12m is indeed too much. I'd rather have Rooney!

    My god this new fpl site is gash. No head to head league points or fixtures, I cant view the points accrued this week in a standard league – only the overall points, and to top it all off there is now a glitch with the assists meaning really the points the fpl site say I have is b*llocks.

    You have one more week fpl, if the site aint fixed im deleting my account and the leagues I run.

        i have both of them. i watched the chelsea game, brunt was nonexistant 🙁

        who else can I get? I had high hope of albrighton but agbonlahor is playing instead. ramsey (the new fabs) isn't doing much. sess is oop but isn't doing much either, taarabt is playing poor. hopefully he will get better

      He is top of the chop list for me. Was listening to the game today, barely heard his name. A different role for charlie, means less points. Bonus used to be handy for him, doubt he will see many. Maybe take him back in if he gets pushed up to the right of the front 3.

    FPL, poooooooo! Did anyone use to play on "Can You Kick It" fantasy football? Sadly it stopped last season and i joined FPL.

        On CYKI you only had 1 sub which was way better, it made you pick more carefully.

        So many poor finishers position wise in my private leagues last season are all up the top end of the leagues now and get jammy with their subs coming on coz they had fabregas in their team, why would you put fab in!

        I know you could say aston villa are top so it won't last but i've had a poo start!
