The second gameweek of the Premier League season comes to a close tonight at Old Trafford, as champions Manchester United play host to a Tottenham Hotspur side belatedly starting their league campaign. Injuries force Sir Alex to play an extremely young defence who, along with goalkeeper David De Gea, have an average age of just 22. Unforced however, is the youth in attack for the home side, who also have Javier Hernandez back in their match-day squad.

      Suarez may not even play 90 for a few weeks after Copa America exertions. Sure he scored in only 20 mins against Arsenal but that was vs 10 men and tired legs... I think he's a season long keeper without a doubt but Torres has Norwich at home - wonder if you could have had both? Oh well what's done is done.

    So the first couple of weeks is always people getting lucky with random teams but that wont score consistently high over the course of the season.

    Which of the £6mill and below players do we genuinely think will score really well come the end of the season. Who will be the next Adam?

      All summer means nothing. It is the actual game and results and the effect of the games & results that impact about 90% of personnel decisions. It should be personal preference that drive those decisions. WC fail is WC fail, to many the time to strike the iron of WCdom is early...maybe not this early. Personally, I I would have no problem burning my WC next week (if I hadn't used it already) to buy low on Torres. Like I bought low on Berbs last year just before his 'blowuptuation' match.

    rubbish game this year no head to head and everything is hidden and crashes and just no point really most of the players in my league have given up they cant be bothered with it after 4 seasons they r all pissed off

          its a game but there is no fun cus its constantly fuc.ed we cant even have a banter with the other players in my mini league cus we dont know whats happening half the time.Things come out wrong everytime and they having to sort em out again and agai.

            I feel ya, it'll get better, I guess it's because I'm in telecom, and know that all those big name companies (google, skype, Electronic Arts) F***k-up all the time. API, app roll-outs you name. I guess I'm just desensitized to it. Rolll outs are difficult, especially with sites like this with no REAL downtime. Sleeptime for you UKers is wakey wakey for West coast US and Asia. And believe me they're on it too...

              Not disagreeing, just stating that it wasn't flawless or all rosy. Site crashing just before matches was crucial, I can live with it crashing post match, pre-points update. "f**ked & disgrace" are apt, but hey what do you do? Take your ball and go home or soldier on? You'll be fine mate, this too shall pass.

        Well the way I see it is the ones I want to transfer in made around 15 - 20 points this week opposed to the players I have that made arond 8....the hit could be factored out after a week or two??

          Exactly, get it out of the way. Because throughout the GW's with that many players slated for price rise ( and I mean they could rise for the next 3 weeks) he will get nickle and dimed out of free transfers and 4 pt hits down the road having to maneuver to compensate for 0.1 and 0.2 price rises along the way. These are more important times than you think and of course the slick f***ers around here will tell you to hold your fire hoping you stay in the mud. Real talk.

          Same reason as most of us - unsure if he would start because just returned from Copa America. Seems logical. In fact many trainers have said he may break down if not given extended rest and Kenny has even said he needs to continue to monitor him... could be rotation / limited minutes in his immediate future.

      9.7 - won't triple rise.

      I have Torres - Bent - Rooney and don't know if I should pull the trigger on Suarez. May stick w/ Torres one more week and hope Suarez just gets 30-60 minutes.

      He's already owned by 40%+ in the game - would take a lot of transfers to get him to 9.8.

    I think the reason I can't find a team I like is I keep trying to find Chelsea coverage. I'm avoiding them right now. there are points to be had elsewhere and for more security/peace of mind as well. Serves me right for captaining fat Frank. Never again. I captain my forwards from now on!

            I am actually getting him in this week, he is at home to Norwich and even though Chelsea have been poor can't see how they won't create a few chances for him against them.
