The second gameweek of the Premier League season comes to a close tonight at Old Trafford, as champions Manchester United play host to a Tottenham Hotspur side belatedly starting their league campaign. The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open for business, so come in and take a seat whilst we mull over the all-important team news…

Injuries force Sir Alex to play an extremely young defence who, along with goalkeeper David De Gea, have an average age of just 22. Unforced however, is the youth in attack for the home side, who also have Javier Hernandez back in their match-day squad.

Man United XI: De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Evans, Evra, Anderson, Cleverley, Nani, Young, Rooney, Welbeck

As for the visitors, Luka Modric didn’t take the trip up the M1 because, according to Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, “his head isn’t right” with speculation about his future still rife. Elsewhere, Brad Friedel makes his club debut and Jake Livermore starts after scoring midweek at Tynecastle.

Spurs XI: Friedel; Walker, Dawson, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Kranjcar, Livermore, Bale; Van der Vaart; Defoe

Take a pew in the Dugout Discussion chatroom, where you can follow all the action from tonight’s game.

Didn't see the game last night.can someone tell me how Nani played?

I was expecting big things from my team and got, well, things actually.

Resisting the temptation of makinh knee jerk trades, but if Saha isn't starting then I may trade him for Odem.

Any thoughts, chaps? My team is:

    Given (Vorm)
    Bos Kompany Simpson (Brown Orr)
    Lamps(c) Nani Sinclair Moses (Surman)
    Torres Bent Saha

Lampard is looking shocking this season. He's tying up an awful lot of your money and I wouldn't captain him. Nani played alright, he's such a hot and cold player though, Young is looking the better pick atm.

For what its worth Lamps looked ok at the weekend, put Anelka in a couple of times and on another day might have had a couple of extra assists. I agree that the price is the thing there but i'm giving him the armband this week.

Looking at the injuries and bans on this site, De Jong could be back for the Spurs game, so Yaya might be pushed on again?

In a big game like Spurs he's more likely to sit, but yes, he is more promising if pushed forward, just depends on what you think he'll do.

So according to Fiso it's 79640 in to up the price and 25% out... quite a difference from 28000 in and 10% out... Do you think they have inside knowledge or have they just made it a number unlikely to be exceeded to start with?

They claimed to have inside knowledge in the past, so it's possible. It those figures are even remotely accurate though, price changes will be far less frequent than before ðŸ™

yeah exactly. less than half as often... money market won't be as big a deal then... although I can see the logic cos it pushes people who aren't doing well further in the dirt and makes those that are doing well even better...

    Hey guys!

72 this week with Rooney baps to come (hopefully!)

Do I leave this team alone?

I know the gk's are a bit off but I have a good feeling about these two, the rest though I would appreciate your thoughts...

    Vorm (Ruddy)
Baines / R Taylor / Jose Enrique (Simpson, Cahill)
Brunt / Silva / Taarabt / Petrov (Moses)
    Rooney (c) / Bent (v) / Suarez

        1 mil in the bank...

I'm most worried by Cahill and Moses, I was thinking of holding on for prices rises but I'm completely lost by this new system.

The extra wc has loaded these players into teams so the necessary change to trigger price increases looks a long way off...

I just think that Newcastle and Man City stand a better chance of getting clean sheets in their games than Fulham and Norwich. Newcastle haven't conceded a goal yet in the league, Fulham lost 2-0 to Wolves, Spurs looked poor against Man Utd going forward and Man City have a defence capable of dealing with them. Plus they're at home.

Not bad, had a few oppurtunites but they've wasted them, I think Wolves will be well up for it having won their first two games and with Johnson in their back four they are looking a lot better defensively. I'm not saying Wolves will thrash them, or even keep a clean sheet, but I do think they'll win, or at least a draw with goals, I can't see them losing. A fit Zamora could make the difference though.

Anyone care to help a Yank? I've got some thoughts but I'd like to get the experts' perspectives. Team:

    Vorm (Given)
    Bosingwa/Simpson/RTaylor (Shawcross, Kompany)
    Silva/Nani/Dyer/Jarvis (Brunt)
    Bent/Suarez/Torres

I already used my transfer on Taylor hoping to get a price rise, but I'm pretty happy with the team. Just not sure on who to start at mid, need 2 of Brunt/Dyer/Jarvis. Jarvis has a been a stud but has probably the toughest fixture at AVL, while Brunt has Stoke at home and Dyer has Sunderland at home. I'm not knowledgeable enough to have much of an opinion on these guys.. thoughts?

Sitting Kompany b/c while I think City will win, they may concede b/c WBA is scoring on everyone (or was it flukey?). Am I crazy?
