        Some players have dropped and some have risen. E.g Saha is now 7.4.

          Think it was last night Maxi dropped, and there have beena few others on previous nights.

          The problem is, it's not an exact science, and as I said below, FPL are perfectly entitled to move the goalposts (pardon the pun) regarding price change mechanics, in the interest of balancing the game as they see fit.

            Ya because both TotalFPL and Fiso have been showing that about 10+ price drops should have gone through by now but nothing happened. Its just confusing sinse there have already been 2 days of rises/drops that it wouldnt happen again.

    Hi - coming to the game late so just picking my team, was hoping somebody could help me out with my final dilemma. I have £10m left to spend on a GK and a DF. Which option should I go for?

    I don't get this 'protected' business - how does a player achieve this status? Someone please explain.

      "Protection" is when a player's price cannot change, irrespective of how many people buy or sell him. Usually occurs after a red or yellow flag that has been there for two or more days has been removed, or when a player is added to the game.

      If they're flagged as injured on the fpl siite, as soon as they loose the flag they are *usually* protected from price movement for 9 days, I think...

        So it's to prevent dramatic price changes following suspensions or injuries (and ends of them)? Hmmm, I was counting on being able to capitalise on them...

          Essentially yeah, although price changes can still occur when the player is actually flagged - at the normal rate for price increases, but he needs 2.5 times the normal net transfers out to decrease in price.

          Bear in mind that all of this is just what's been deduced from various boffins over the seasons and isn't actually anywhere in FPL's rules, and as such the formulae and various thresholds and mechanics can be altered at FPL's whim.

      When a player is fit again after recovering from an injury his price is protected for 7 days, or something like that.

      I wasn't till i read how low scoring the previous games between the two have been. Plus Mancini won't get any criticism for playing for a 1-0 after the way they have been playing this season. So play him i'd say.

    Was thinking of not making any changes this week and if it doesn't work out then it will be time to start dumping the non-performers (Torres, Nani, Moses, N'Zog, Mikel etc).

    Was thinking of Suarez but might just hold the faith with Torres. If he cannot score against Norwich he shouldn't play again! Too risky for captain after last week but hope Chelsea CS with goals from Mikel as well.

    The last 2 weeks I have managed to leave on average of 12 points on the bench so I don't want to make the same mistake again!

    Regarding earlier posts re linking teams, I have always linked my team in the past but I have had to unlink it and even change my username and grav beacuse I like to retain a certain amount of anonymity. Unfortunately some of my work colleagues who lurk found me and kept commenting on how sad I was for taking it so seriously and posting on the site. Now when I post I can be relaxed that they don't know it's me.
    Of course if I recover from my crap start I may reconsider! 😉

    Probably a totally ridiculous question but on the Injuries & Bans page, does "Doubt 25%" mean the player has a 25% chance of playing or does the "Doubt 75%" mean he's got a 25% of playing?

    It's probably explained somewhere but I couldn't see it. Cheers.

    While I'm at it, can someone with an expert eye please tell me where I'm going wrong with this lot?

      Defense too expensive Huth and Hangeland aren't worth 6.5 downgrade to Hughes and Shawcross if you want definite starts from the Fulham and Stoke Defence and use 3.0m for upgrades later.
