UEFA Champions League Fantasy Game Goes Live

With the August transfer window now firmly closed, the thirty-two clubs participating in this season’s Champions League have subsequently entered their official squads to UEFA.

The tournament kicks off on Tuesday September 13 – that’s a week today – and Fantasy managers will be pleased to know they have the option of another game to test their managerial abilities – the UEFA Fantasy Champions League has opened for business, allowing you to consider the merits of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and, of course, Alberto Aquilani for your fifteen-man squads.

This season we will not only be re-opening the Scout League (code: 212-74) for another title tilt but will be setting aside the regular Scout cap and donning a beret, fedora or perhaps even a Ushanka in order to provide coverage of the tournament over the course of this season. Whether it’s the continental glamour tie of Barcelona vs Milan or the perhaps slightly less appealing APOEL vs Zenit, every game will get some level of mention with player picks thrown in as we go.

Keep your eyes peeled across these here pages in the days to come for more information, then, but for now, let us begin tinkering with our new squads and relish the joys of being able to line up Wayne Rooney and co alongside our favourite players from La Liga, the Bundesliga and beyond.

      Feels a little light in midfield - relying on Brunt, Jarvis, SWP and Dyer to score week-in and week-out will mean for some heavy leaning on the front 3.

      Maybe bin Mert and upgrade Jarvis/Brunt to someone that can score more reliably - Arteta?

    I landed a Playstation for last seasons Semi-Final 1st Leg. I didn't actually have the most points (I finished 7th) but the 6 muppets above me thought they were Outer Mongolian, Japanese, Martian or whatever.       It's the best second game* out there - if you have time to play. It's a grand midweek fantasy fix.

      *Simply because it's pretty similar to FPL, except you can choose Ronaldo and Messi in the same team. Amongst other things, of course.

      Other than that, your cheap defenders don't rotate (neither do your keepers mind).

      Midfield is nice, and you have the standard forward line.

    I’m the twit with swp and bendtner etc. from last page.
    I just feel with the champions league coming in 2 weeks today and my fear of rotation and 60 min players my ‘risks’ are well risky I admit.
    Also swp and bendtner have proven records when they got minutes which they are surely going to get plenty of now they have moved on. critism welcome ðŸ™‚
