UEFA Champions League Fantasy Game Goes Live

With the August transfer window now firmly closed, the thirty-two clubs participating in this season’s Champions League have subsequently entered their official squads to UEFA.

The tournament kicks off on Tuesday September 13 – that’s a week today – and Fantasy managers will be pleased to know they have the option of another game to test their managerial abilities – the UEFA Fantasy Champions League has opened for business, allowing you to consider the merits of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and, of course, Alberto Aquilani for your fifteen-man squads.

This season we will not only be re-opening the Scout League (code: 212-74) for another title tilt but will be setting aside the regular Scout cap and donning a beret, fedora or perhaps even a Ushanka in order to provide coverage of the tournament over the course of this season. Whether it’s the continental glamour tie of Barcelona vs Milan or the perhaps slightly less appealing APOEL vs Zenit, every game will get some level of mention with player picks thrown in as we go.

Keep your eyes peeled across these here pages in the days to come for more information, then, but for now, let us begin tinkering with our new squads and relish the joys of being able to line up Wayne Rooney and co alongside our favourite players from La Liga, the Bundesliga and beyond.

    Phew. Finally. That took long enough. I've been waiting for FCL to go live for the past two weeks.

    Really glad that FFS is covering FCL as well as FPL, the help from here was probably what I missed last season.

    P.S. My decision to go without Young (on wildcard) is looking rather grim at the moment. 🙁

            We are done. And a quick scanning down of comments would show it was not to do with the group more to do with a realization of how poor we are - which hasnt changed.

              High praise indeed. I think you're looking alright if a bit dull, solid at the back anyway. Look at Greece, they were shit in terms of individual talent but functioned very well as a defensive unit. Trapp is building the same dull yet effective side.

    Considering that O Neil had an International side at his disposal at Villa and sold some who have proved him wrong - Cahill. Find it strang he is not mentioned at all with Young , Milner, Downing , Cahill playing and his record being questioned.

        Find it odd not one Journo or broadcaster when mentioning how well all these former villa players are doing is not questioning why they didnt play this way under O Neil. And also why he sold Cahill or his record in generally and how he was always harping on about not being able to compete.
