Neil Warnock leads a host of Premier League managers set to deliver debuts this weekend, with new signings Shaun Wright-Phillips and Joey Barton likely starters for QPR in Monday’s clash with Newcastle.

Arsene Wenger will surely draft in new boys Per Mertesacker and Mikel Arteta and neighbours Spurs will give debuts to Scott Parker and Emmanuel Adebayor as they visit a Wolves side that looks set to be unchanged once more. Peter Crouch should lead the Stoke attack against visiting Liverpool, while Alex Ferguson continues to trust his young guns at the back and will re-unite Wayne Rooney with Javier Hernandez up front, as Danny Welbeck misses out with a hamstring problem.

Asamoah Gyan looks set to be ruled out for Sunderland, paving the way for Nicklas Bendtner to make his Black Cats debut against Andre Villas-Boas’ Chelsea, as the Blues head to the Stadium of Light without Didier Drogba, with the Ivorian continuing his recovery from concussion.

    ok guys, so listen up. i have this league on fpl for regular posters. its been there for 3 years now and every year its the most active forum wise, there are around 20 lads in there and almost all of them post regularly. if anyone of u chekcs fpl regualrly and wants to join an active league then heres the code :131173-44250…………………..check the forum , its good, really good………………………...i know u guys are beginning to love me

    Had a nightmare start to FPL .... If i hadn't tinkered in the free transfer week I would have been fine.

    Current squad:

    Verm, Hilario

    Kompany, Cashley, De Laet, Simpson, Gabbidon

    REALLY want to bring in an ARS player... Is it worth to WC my team ? or just wait it out 1 week & double sub next week ? Also worried if Hilario deosn't play & Verm gets a minus score.

      I'm in a similar position !

      I'm giving Torres one more week ... with Drogba out it's now or never for him. Also Aguero has a good fixture but is expensive considering Man City have such a strong squad.

          I think Mata will start too, but not for 90 minutes. if Bosingwa comes in for Luiz he will still not play for 90 Minutes. And we won't score every game. I rather save the money for the next 2 Chelsea games.

      Not sure about Chelsea team but maybe rotation because of CL midweek.

      I'd look at several sources - FFS, Guardian, Twitter, other fantasy sites & papers etc and if they're saying similar things then it's likely to be more reliable but not 100%.

    Struggling not to go for punt after punt....

    Bad start to the season has left me with not a lot of £££ for my WC.

    Keep picking the likes of Luiz, Adebayor, Bendtner, Benayoun, Arteta, SWP etc etc

    What do people thing on Benayoun's chances of playing fairly regularly for Arsenal? This isn't for FPL it's for the telegraph were you have limited transfers for the season. I need a cheap midfielder so I can afford Nasri. Other options are Cabaye, Larrsson or maybe Cleverly.

    Seriously, I activated my wildcard pretty early and at the moment my midfield is pretty beefed up. Right now I'm only struggling with my defenders. Which of these combinations do you think would work out the best:

    Brown - De Laet - Kompany - (Simpson and another 4.0 def.)

    or

    Hughes - Warnock - Brown - (De Laet - Simpson)

      I like the look of Villa defence this year, so would lean towards the second. Plus Warnock can find himself on the assist sheet. Then again - I'm off to an awful start so I should be asking you for advice..........

      I have got Brown as I think Sunderland will be pretty solid this season. It wouldn't surprise me if they held Chelsea to a 0-0 this weekend. De laet I rate, so far and he has kept clean sheets and a few bonus points so keep him and their fixtures are reasonable. Warnock is another player Iv'e have got and he is a really quality full back in a more defensive minded Aston villa. Hughes - loss like a used J cloth as Fulham under Jol will only be going forward. Simpson - every other team has got and there is no deferential worth in him, so take a look at Taylor from Swansea or if you can scrape .5 then Rangle/woodgate/s tayor.

      I think you could get better value from your wildcard in a different week. Those transfers aren't really worth it I don't think. Just make one trade to get an Arsenal player
