          City aren't as secure as they were last year. 6m seems a lot for a defender this year.

          Unfortunately Liverpool CB's let him down all the time. Coates might start getting games, but can anyone see Carragher ever getting dropped before he retires.

                  To avoid sounding like a total pr!ck, I will admit that he is .4 cheaper - and that might a big difference. And the drop-off in quality/FPL potential is not too dire.

                  I'd like to have either, but would greatly prefer Young.

    Folks,

    Have a serious pain in the hole with this season so far. Just not getting anything right.....

    Need opinions on this possible kneejerk.

    Kompany, Brunt and Suarez out

    Taylor (Swa) Mata and Adebayor in.

    No cash left so would need to move on the Adebayor deal before his price rise.

    Other midfielders and forwards are as follows

    Silva, Young, Jarvis, Dyer

    Rooney, Dzeko

    I know that Suarez has form but he is not scoring the points so Adebayor is a good option whilst freeing up the cash for Brunt upgrade to Mata. I would like to keep Kompany but his sale is needed to fund deals.

    Any thoughts welcome

      Ade scored two after Liverpool had gone down to 9 men (and two of our first choice defenders were off the park)

      Might well have been a different story otherwise...

      I think maybe you could wait if you were worried of kneejerk as the 3 OUTs all have a pretty decent game next week. If Ade does go up and you still wanted to do it you could raise cash by going Young > Nani, and to be honest, you'll be getting the better player then anyway

    Still cant believe how easily Man U are scoring these days. Could have been five no bother against what some might argue was the tightest, most experienced back five in the division?

    I really fear for Norwich in two weeks time at Old Trafford. They could get an absolute tanking. Possibly an EPL record breaker if SAF doesnt play a B team?

      Eh? There isn't really a theory. All I think is that Tevez and Balotelli will start in the Milk Cup, and then Dzeko and Aguero (clearly Mancini's preferred forward two) will then start against Everton on the weekend, with the option of taking them off early if they are winning comfortably - just like today. 😉

      If Tevez doesn't play in midweek, then that will f*ck shit up a bit.

        Surely the Tevez situation must be a personal issue with Mancini? Despite the heroics of Dzeko so far, he doesn't hold a candle to Tevez's performances last season.

        I would have Aguero + Tevez starting, with Dzeko and Balotelli playing the lesser matches.

        Then again, I would expect to see what you have predicted.

        I just took the 4 point hit to get rid of Hilario, Downing and suarez for Al Habsi, Mata and Ade.

        I had to talk my self out of wildcarding!

        Team is now:

        Al habsi/Vorm
        Brown/ Woodgate/ da leat/ Simpson/ Enrique
        Mata/ Silva/ Moses/ Dyer/ Young
        Ade/ Rooney/ Dzeko

          i think you're fine matt, enrique at home to wolves, de laet at home to sunderland...

          you've got a good enough short term team after the hit.

          i notice you're keeping faith in dzecko, i'm thinking we're about to lose value on him and agueros irresistable... then again he'll still get points and we'll have a differential of sorts.

          how about:
          holt-> ade
          arteta -> petrov(bol)

          as i can see bolton getting a few against arsenal..

        i feel it's too stronger squad to wildcard, but definitely could benefit from a few players out.

        maybe i'll go 4point hit and avoid price drops with...
        dzecko -> Adebayor
        hilario -> 5.0 keeper
        or
        holt -> 6.5 forward

        Yeah I'd keep Suarez if I had him for sure. I'm trying to decide which one to bring in though.

        Already got Dzeko and in no rush to get rid.

            Forwards atm are:

            Brunt Jarvis Dyer Walcott Nasri
            Rooney Dzeko Saha

            2 frees and I'm transferring out Baines and Saha. Lots of options to come in for Baines, but up front it's either Suarez or Adebayor. Fixtures say Suarez, form (and money making) says Ade. Really struggling with this one.

        Indeedly. Ridiculous team for next week penciled in. Should score 400 points and make up for this weeks horror show.

        No, he's spending 8 points to make 0.1 on Adebayor.

                It really is tough to not feel for him right after he hits it wide.

                Play it slowly ... you can just make out the sound of his soul withering and dying.

    Hmm, bit of advice if I may. I've been flying Rooneyless for a while now, and will do so for 1 more week. But I just have to find a way to get him in for Norwich.

    I've got .8m in the bank, and am toying with Walcott > Mata this week. But that won't leave me enough to make up the gap from RVP > Rooney without messing about with my squad far too much. Already used the WC (Jerky Knee syndrome).

    Don't really want Walcott anymore, completely unconvinced by their form, and RVP gives me the cover for the Bolton game, and I have no Chelsea cover. Bit of a headscratcher this one.

      Walcott to Mata makes most sense for you this week.

      Is there any way at all you could find the cash for the Rooney move for just a 4 pointer?

        can i just confirm. does everyone get 1 free transfer and have to pay 4 for every successive one?

        i'm just seeing alot of people say 4 points for 3 transfers, you saved up one right?

    If your selling price for Dzeko is 8.7 (if you bought him at 8.5) then you could do Hilario > Krul (+0.3), Holt > Sturridge (-1.0), Dzecko > Adebayor (+0.7)

    But you'll need to do it tongiht

          eitherway thats a great suggestion as i'd take all 3 of them palyers, though is it worth 8 point hit when i could just play my wildcard?

          cheers

    Btw, was disgustingly lucky today. Like in the CL, Paddy Power had a money back special, this time where they refunded [selected] losing bets if Chelsea won, so I covered all results where Chelsea didn't win, up to and including United scoring 3 goals. Would have lost £100 if United had scored a fourth. Cheers Wazza (and Berba to a lesser extent).
