The last-minute August transfer window move to QPR seems to have offered Shaun Wright-Phillips a new lease of life. The winger cut a forlorn figure on the periphery of Roberto Mancini’s title-challenging Man City but, plucked from his Etihad Stadium nightmare by Neil Warnock, Wright-Phillips has been handed the chance to resurrect his career. Under the guidance of a manager with complete faith in his abilities, he is already making an impact at Loftus Road.

Fed up of Darren Bent, I have 2.9 in bank so can afford pretty much anyone. Thinking Luis Suarez as a good differential? No Rooney all season has been absolutely stupid from me so have huge ground to make up but might wait little bit longer to get him
Open Controls -
Hi,
My current team is:
Vorm / Given
Senderos / A.Cole / Kompany / Simpson / Enrique
Cahill / Sinclair / Ramsay / Moses / Surman
Bent / Aguero / Rooney
I am thinking of wildcarding in the international break.
Have 2 transfers this week and was thinking of Cahill and Bent to:
Mata and 9.3m forward
or
Nani/Silva and Sturridge
Any thoughts??Open Controls-
Silva is close to must have and I like the value from Sturridge, so I'd say Silva/Sturridge.
Mata still has to prove his consistency to score/assist, but he does look dangerous. I think you could move some funds to get Mata in over Ramsay if you downgrade Cole?Open Controls-
Thanks! Think I will do Silva and Sturridge, then wait and see how Mata does for the next couple of weeks.

never mind. went with nani. and a lovely hit

is this a good time to bring in vdv?
Open Controls-
i think there are better options in that price bracket (he carries niggles, and often comes off early because of his general fitness)
Open Controls -
Bit hard to say, got Ade? Who out of Mata, Young, Nani, Silva and Nasri do you have?
Open Controls-
make that Young, Nani, Silva and Nasri
Open Controls-
Why?
Open Controls-
because the 4 others are proven point grabbers and in form
mata might be good, but its only a punt for now, thus on the same lvl as VDV
thats my opinion though. we are 80% agreed though 🙂Open Controls
-
-
-
ive got ade and young.
considering mata.
the reason i was contemplating vdv is that no one in my minileague has him, it would potentially be a great differentialOpen Controls
-
-
I'd probably say no. It looks like he won't be playing off the striker for a while, while he is prone to the odd niggle (particularly when coming back from injury).
Young, Nani, Silva and perhaps Mata and Nasri seem to be better options for now.Open Controls

one free trf where can i improve the below team, or shud i keep for 2 free trf's next week & see who in chelsea & arsenal is on form?
vorm (given)
bains, woodgate, r.taylor, (simpson, kompany)
Young, moses, adam, (dyer, feregson)
Dzeko, rooney (vc), aguero (c)Open Controls-
Get Ferguson out!
Open Controls -
I take it that isn't your correct starting lineup for this week?
Open Controls -
Dzeko & Aguero?
Downgrade Dzeko to Agbonlahor/Sturridge, Downgrade Baines.
Upgrade Ferguson & Moses, then bench Dyer.Open Controls-
having both Dzeko & Aguero - means i dont wry about roatation and man city r going to score a lot of goals this yr - i cant see midfield scoring goals it seems will be their strikers so i have gone for both of them
bains out & upgrading moses is the plan for next week
also agbonlahor run wont last & long term wont get more than 10-12 goals - where as both dzeko & aguero will
strudige will be rotated esp now drogba is backOpen Controls

Doing Barton in for Brunt (had enough of him) and maybe save my other transfer and do 2 next week.
Given
Boswinga, Simpson, Kompany,
Moses, Barton, Silva, Arteta
RVP, Rooney, Suarez
Ruddy, De Laet, Brown, Barkley.
0.2m in Bank
Ok am I playing the correct keeper and defence this week and are subs in right order????Open Controls-
Ruddy at home to Sunderland or Given away at QPR?
Ruddy better chance of clean sheet but Norwich have 0 from 5 so far and conceded 5 pens in 5 games.
Given better chance of making more saves but Villa have a solid defence despite QPR's attack.
I'd play Given over Vorm but Ruddy over Given. If you're not gonna play Ruddy at home to SUN, when will you?Open Controls

Is it just me or do prices rises/falls seems to be happening much more regularly this year? You really need to make transfers early - Adebayor has gone up .2 since the weekend! Glad I got him in on Sunday.
Open Controls -
Current Team:
Given/Vorm
De Laet/Simpson/Brown/Berra (Jagielka)
Nani/M.Petrov/Silva (N.Dyer,Ferguson)
Rooney(v)/RVP(c)/Dzeko
have 2.2 in the bank
should i take a 4 point hit for Dzeko&Ferguson for Mata&Best
or
should i just take out jagielka for bosingwa or any def with 7.7
Is dzeko playing this weekend? should i get rid of him because he's a rotation risk?Open Controls -
What have facebook done now 😕

If I was to WC after GW7 what transfers should I do to this team???
Vorm Ruddy
Bosingwa De Laet Smalling Kompany Simpson
Young SWP Jarvis Larsson Ferguson
Aguero Rooney Suarez
1.3m in the bank
Was thinking of doing Kompany->Ward and Smalling->Jones(If Jons starts instead of Smalling)
Also tinking of Larsson,Jarvis,Suarez and Young-> Adebayor,Sinclair,Nani and Silva
That wil leave me with this.
Vorm Ruddy
Jones Bosingwa Ward Simpson De Laet
Nani Silva Sinclair SWP Ferguson
Aguero Rooney Adebayor
With 0.6 in the bankOpen Controls-
Well at GW7 we will be able to really see how good Adebayor will be in the long term. If he looks like 16-20 goal getter then that team would look great.
Open Controls-
I was thinking of Wildcarding this week to change to that team.
Open Controls-
Your previous team isn't too shabby and I dont think you are 100+ points behind league leader like I was. Wait a little bit. With 0.6 in the bank you can afford any minor price increases too.

I really think a WC for int. break after GW11 is a much better option than after GW7. There is a significant upturn in fixtures for the top teams after 11 (especially Utd) I'm trebling up on Utd after GW11..

Open Controls -
Hows this look?
Given (Vorm)
Bosingwa, Simpson, Barnett (Brown, Ward)
Nani, Silva, MPetrov, Jarvis (Moses)
Rooney, Aguero(C), Adebayor
0 cashOpen Controls-
0.7 cash that is
Open Controls -
Barnett's a dodgy pick in my opinion. You could even get Evans for him at the moment..
Open Controls-
yea? hes only filling in, or?
Open Controls-
Well at the moment he's only filling in, but it seems like he's doing well. Otherwise you could double up on Newcastle with S Taylor or R Taylor/Santon or go for QPR coverage with Gabbidon/Ferdinand.
Open Controls-
yeah, surprised he got 2bps even though his defense leaked 2 goals
he rotates much better with simpson than the QPRs, and ward/brown rotate well
cheers though mateOpen Controls

This week or in general?
Open Controls -
I went for Enrique because of the fixtures. Stoke are in Europe so it could hamper his CS chances.
Open Controls -
The Spaniard.
Open Controls -
I've got Enrique but to be honest I'm having serious doubts as to why. Bought him ages ago on what he 'might' do for Liverpool this season, but so far he has done nothing. 12 points to date versus Shawcross' 23. Whilst not a ShawX fan, I'm getting rid of Enrique once I can afford to.

Yeah you should. Could do with a more comfortable lead.

what you think of sess worth keeping .. growing tired but got an assist at weekend. sorry an iffy assist

Tough one. I would say Bosingwa because I dont think Swansea gonna score while Everton could easily nick a goal.
Open Controls-
I ment to transfer in for my team, not for this week.
Open Controls-
Then Komp because he is a guaranteed atleast 10 CS.
Open Controls-
There's nothing guaranteed in football...especially not 10cs for city who are on the attack a lot more than last year and who are exposed without de jong...
Open Controls-
True nothing guaranteed. Would love to see De Jong rampaging from midfield trying to get himself on the scoresheet. I dont think Mancini will keep this open attacking football going. He will melo it down soon.

All, I have made my three transfers (two were free) for this week and the team now looks like this:
Krul (Ruddy)
Kompany, Bosingwa, Enrique, Simpson (De Laet)
Silva, Mata, Barton, (Moses, Dyer)
Suarez, Rooney, Aguero
Not sure on captain and I think moving forward De Laet will likely have to go.
Any thoughts?Open Controls-
I took Suarez out last week so he's bound to get a couple of goals. I'd go with him, son.
Open Controls -
Capt between Roon and Aguero.
Open Controls-
Do you think Suarez has a chance at home to Wolves?
Open Controls-
He does but the way he is playing doesn't suggest a hattrick. While Aguero at home with the midfield ammo could score another hattrick. Provided that he starts. 🙂
Open Controls -
I sold Suarez this week as he hasn't delivered in recent games and my patience ran out. From now have decided to go on 'real form', rather than 'potential form'. Aguero as captain it is then.

Open Controls-
See below extract from rules on FPL site:
Player prices change during the season dependent on the popularity of the player in the transfer market. Player prices do not change until the season starts.
The price shown on your transfers page is a player's selling price. This selling price may be less than the player's current purchase price as a sell-on fee of 50% (rounded up to the nearest £0.1m) will be applied on any profits made on that player.
For example, if you buy a player for £8.3m and when you transfer him his price is £9.0m, his selling price will be £8.6m.Open Controls

team for this GW
Given
Baines / Enrique / Olsson / Simpson
Brunt / Silva / Taarabt / Walcott
Rooney (c) / Ade
subs: Ruddy / Walker / Sinclair / Klasnic
ive used 2 transfers. is this teeam ok? advise and tips massively appreciated. cheersOpen Controls-
Having in mind that Klasnic is out and Sinclair is playing against Chelsea, your team looks sound. Yet, not sure whether not to bring Sinclair for Baines. Everton is playing away against Man City, which is not good as Man City are scoring goals. Also, Everton have not conceeded only against Blackburn away and, personally, I was not that impressed by their defence against Wigan. So, you may consider a safe bet bringing in Sinclair for Baines (and changing your tactic to 3 5 2 ), just in case Man City start scoring. Good luck.

I am just about to use my wildcard to line up a team strong on set-piece takers. So, I was wondering if any of you is willing to share thoughts about whom better pick - M Petrov (Bolton) or Murphy (Fulham)!
I really like Petrov's runs down the wing, throwing crosses all the time, taking set pieces (corners, free kicks and now penalties). He is also cheaper than Murphy! Yet, Bolton are not only in a dreadful form, but also with a couple of difficult fixtures ahead.
I have not watched any of D Murphy's games this season, yet, he seems to be scoring points, so I guess he is doing well. Just like Bolton, they are not in such a good shape. Yet, the team's performance against Man City and easier fixtures breeds hope that their standing in the upcoming game will improve. Also, Fulham is playing in Europe which can be a double edge sword to his performance.
So, any thoughts?
The team I am thinking of is:
Vorm (Ruddy)
R and S Taylor Simpson (Newcastle) (Taylor (Swansea) Tierney (Nor)) - waiting for Everton's fixtures to cool down and I am bringing in Baines for S Taylor
Mata, Nani, Silva, Van der Vart,Murphy/Petrov
Rooney, Di Santo, Adebayor (I will be bringing up Best for him, so I can get enough money for Baines)
Thanks in advance.Open Controls-
Bolton beat Villa 0-2, surely that is a good sign that goals are still possible
Open Controls-
Pls get Gabbidon instead of Tierney, You cant seriously believe that Norwich will get cleansheets.
Looks like your playing a dangerous game, but it could pull off.Open Controls-
Much better idea. Cheers for that as I will for sure listen to your advice.
Well, I will be playing 3 5 2 hoping that my mids will be doing well - counting more on the assists and occassional goals to score points. Any clean sheet and bonus points will come as an extra.
Best and Di Santo are doing decently well and so are their teams, they are both starting up regularly and fixtures are looking good. Much appreciated one more time.Open Controls
-
-
-
Petrov only took the pen because Davies was off the field.
Open Controls -
You won't be able to bring Best in for Adebayor since you already have 3 Newcastle players.
I think its a bit much to treble up on that defence (I can see the logic in doubling up).
Petrov over Murphy, Petrov is infinitely better in open play.
You have to downgrade one of those big mids (even if just to Taarabt, although I'd consider all the way to Dyer), and fix up some of that defence. You can get away with some rotation, but you've left yourself with little options there.Open Controls-
Cheers for the advices.
"You won’t be able to bring Best in for Adebayor" - well spot it! Although, I am sure that Baines will loose some of his value, I will have to bring up him up right away.
As I will start using a 3 5 2 tactic, Baines is the only defender I would like to bring in to strengthen my defence. So far, the other two defenders (R Taylor and Simpsons) are in top 5 when it comes to total score and fixtures for them are looking good. Bos is the other player whom I like, but I won't have enough money for him.
You are right about Petrov. Yet, for the next couple of fixtures, I am going to bring Murphy in. When Bolton fixture get easier, I will change him for Petrov.Open Controls
