Today’s early kick-off sees Man City looking to get back to winning ways after throwing away a two-goal lead at Craven Cottage last week.

As Everton roll up to the Etihad Stadium looking to extend their five game unbeaten run, the lineups are out and it’s good news for owners of Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko- both were rested in the midweek Carling Cup clash with Birmingham and return to the starting XI as City look to for the three points that will take them back to the top of the table before Man United take on Stoke this evening.

The sides in full are:

Man City XI: Hart, Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy, Y Toure, Barry, Silva, Nasri, Aguero, Dzeko

Everton XI: Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Coleman, Fellaini, Rodwell, Neville, Osman, Cahill

    I don't get all this Suarez knocking. Do you expect him to score against Spurs with Liverpool down to 9 men? He's different class when you watch him - are you even watching the games or going on the 2 points and thinking he must've played cr@p?

      Doesn't matter whether he plays well or not, if he gets 2 points every game he isn't a good fantasy choice. I've always said he will never be the most prolific in this league and I think he is overrated as a fantasy option.

        That's a valid point, and you're entitled to your opinion. My comment was regarding the nonsense I've read about him being out of form and not playing well. I don't think that's the case.

        Liverpool as a team have been out of form and therefore he's struggled to provide fantasy returns. There was an article on here the other day about Downing's poor quality of delivery. A fit Gerrard alongside Adam will be a different matter.

          I know, he has been playing well, last week you just have to write off cos Liverpool as a team were rubbish and had 9 men. Against Stoke he missed a sitter but was a nuisance all game and was generally very dangerous.

          He has been playing well, just hasn't reflected in the points.

    Someone last week (Christina?) told someone never to captain a player in the early kick off. Have to admit, with the exception of last week, the early kick offs do seem to produce fewer goals than the other games. Might just be my imagination though, anyone have any stats to back up/disprove the theory?

        Yeah, logically it shouldn't matter but there's always a bit of comfort in knowing your captain could rescue your week still if he hasn't played yet.

          Aye, not a shred of logic to it. But it still seems to happen a lot. Look at Aguero/Dzeko/Silva captain owners right now. It was a factor in me not picking Silva. It makes literally no sense, but how many times do we see gameweeks rescued by late playing captains?

            I did the same thing - captained Arteta rather than Dzeko/Silva for this reason. May still bite me but feeling ok about it for now.
