A game for the (fantasy) football die-hards tonight, as Norwich City play host to Sunderland in the Gameweek six finale. Whilst Gary Neville has been fiddling with his gadgets for the best part of an hour, the Dugout Discussion has just opened for the late shift, and if you’ve just tuned in the team news from Carrow Road is as follows…

Norwich XI: Ruddy, Naughton, Russell Martin, Barnett, Tierney, Bennett, Bradley Johnson, Fox, Pilkington, Hoolahan, Morison.

Sunderland XI: Mignolet, O’Shea, Brown, Bramble, Richardson, Elmohamady, Larsson, Gardner, Vaughan, Bendtner, Sessegnon.

Both Paul Lambert and Steve Bruce have the rare luxury of naming an unchanged eleven. That means Wes Hoolahan continues in an advanced position, whilst Grant Holt sits on the pine for the Canaries. Big summer signings John O’Shea, Wes Brown and Niklas Bendtner all start for the Black Cats.

Take a pew in the Dugout Discussion, and let’s hope for an entertaining edition of Monday Night Football.

          In a nutshell....

          Taarabt unlucky.

Deserved the point but should have had all 3.

Should've had one clear penalty and possibly 2.

Bothroyd needs a spell on the bench and start DJ against Foolem.

Love Sir Anton and glad I got him in last week.

Better finishing and they would've been buried by half time.

All in all though I think we'll be fine this season although I think we're going to be one of those anomaly type teams who play better away from home!

It was a very harsh pen to get given against you, but that's football, newman.

Have to accept that you'll get decisions like that go against you some days, especially when you're a new team in this division. No point crying about it.

We dug in and salvaged a point with 10 men so I can't complain.

Pens are fairly arbritary things though. 2 refs could see the same incident and one will give it and one won't.

Have to accept the refs decision at the end of the day.

However, if that's at Old Trafford or Etihad and the home defender does it, I doubt you'd see a pen given........

I'm not sure what you're trying to prove by watching all this football, but why on earth would you record and watch United, a team you don't support (or even like for that matter) play a second-string side at home to Basel? I can tell you now it will be boring, probably a 1 or 2 nil win. I'll watch it, but will have (more than) one eye on Munich-City.

What's your insight on Ramires? From the few highlights I've saw -looks a lot more comfortable out there - has been getting forward - overall, it looks like his head has caught up with his feet.

Based on early doors here - does he chip in points this season or will it be too sporadic to invest 7.0 in him?

much better option than some others in and around that price range, Yaya for example.
The guy will keep running all day, so with that will bring opportunites. He has shown he has skill (goal vs man city if you remember) and the fact that he has Bos behind him and Sturridge in front is a negative positive - will have to fill in when Bos goes forward but will get in the box when Sturridge drifts wide.

Bit of a poor reply in anwser to your Q. But if you have 7m spare either upgrade somewhere else and get someone cheaper to fill that position, Ben Arfa for example, given time.

        Thanks Tricky...

Yeah, mids are Silva, Young, Jarvis, Brunt, & Dyer. Have 1.5 in the kitty and have lost faith in Jarvis and Brunt. Could upgrade a defender or two, but am ok with what I have back there for now. Like the Ben Arfa suggestion - will be monitoring his form for sure.

Finding that 5.5 to 8 midfielder that you can rely on has been a tough proposition this year.

I do think that he poses a serious goal/assist threat, typically for a midfielder in his position it will inevitably be sporadic returns you encounter, but based on the nature of his play and incredible energy, I see him getting quite a lot of points this season. Also, he looks to have a real hunger for getting forward and seemingly has a starting place nailed down in the team under AVB. At his price also he could be what pre season suggested Benayoun could be in terms of FPL value. I think it would be a very wise move and if he keeps it up, a profit is there to be had surely. He's come on leaps and bounds in recent years, right now he's one of our most consistent players alongside Cole and Cech.

This cry for help got lost on a previous page, so I'm re-posting it.

Need some bloody help lads. Have 1 change for this week, leave my squad as it is? or swap Smalling for someone? (or any other suggestions?) Defence is actually a farce, so strengthening there would be ideal I think. or get rid of O’Hara?

    Kenny, Vorm

Smalling, Ward, Simpson, De Laet, Bosingwa

    Silva, Nani, Taarabt, O’Hara, Dyer

    Rooney, Aguero, Adebayor

Any help would be much appreciated. Some of my decisions have been dogshit over the last few weeks, so could do with some help.

True but my team at present looks like this:
        Vorm Krul
S Ward Simpson De Laet R Taylor Bosingwa
A Young Silva Taarbt Brunt Dyer
        RVP Rooney Adebayor

        1.2 mil in the bank

        2 Free's atm

I am thinking that with the spare money I can in the next few weeks. Go with changes like this:
Ward > Woodgate First free Transfer

De laet > Kompany - Can't afford this unless I downgrade someone else.

If I downgrade Rooney to Drogba I have 1.4 in the bank with Kompany and woodgate in the team otherwise with Suarez I have 2.1 for upgrading taarbt or brunt not many options around 7mil mark though.
