Roberto Mancini has tonight stated that he wants Carlos Tevez “out of the club” after the Argentinian striker refused to play a part from the bench in City’s Champions League tie in Munich.

In a story that will likely run and run over the coming days, the Italian has tonight made a damning statement that appears to break Tevez’ ties with the club once and for all.

“If I have my way he will be out of the club. He’s finished with me…For me it’s a bad situation. In a game like this it’s important for a player to help the team. This is impossible.”

Tevez appeared to be openly objecting to Mancini on the bench in the second-half; the City boss later revealing that he had intended on introducing the striker in an attempt to recover tonight’s 2-0 defeat to an impressive Bayern outfit.

“He refused to come on the pitch. What I said to Carlos is between me, him and the team…I am really disappointed because it is Carlos…We will speak about this with the chairman in the next few days.”

Developments will undoubtedly unfold over the rest of the week, but tonight’s events and particularly Mancini’s comments, will now surely bring the Tevez situation to a head following a turbulent spell at the club.

“If we want to improve as team Carlos can’t play with us. With me, he is finished.”

For Fantasy managers, should Tevez be frozen out at City, it will certainly reduce the uncertainty surrounding the rotation of Mancini’s strikers – presumably cementing Sergio Aguero’s starting role further.

Certainly Aguero’s start for Saturday’s trip to Blackburn looks assured after Mancini also moved to punish Edin Dzeko’s petulance following his substitution in tonight’s game. Dzeko was replaced on 55 minutes by Nigel De Jong, reacting angrily to the decision from his manager. Mancini has stated post-match that the Bosnian striker will now be benched on Saturday as a result.

“Next time he will stay on the bench with me.”

This will come as another blow for Dzeko’s Fantasy owners who have suffered nothing but uncertainty since his four goal spree at White Hart Lane. Mancini will presumably now turn to Mario Balotelli for the Ewood Park trip – a player who has himself courted controversy during his City career.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Most of your transfers seem to be based on Knee jerks.

Get rid of Brunt....but noy for any of the players mentioned above! Murphy aint likely to pull you in any decent points and Ramires performance on sat is unlikely to be a regular occurance.

I see the first 4 as tinkering and potentially a waste of a tx - Enrique flatters to decieve and Ramires is most unlikey to do that again - (also Im led to believe that #3 is a KLAXON) - 5 is a sideways move - 6 makes sense for Roons potential absence moreso than 7 - both are not IMHO not for the longhaul - U really do want Rooney in your team - I make him a season keeper in pref to other big guns.

however 1 and 2 are necessary in the next week or two because I need to replace de laet who isnt playing.

think I'll wait on brunt for now and see how he does

considered young to nani because nani has been more consistant and not sure if young will get as much game time this weekend but I think i'll leave it as is

I agree with you. I want to get rooney back in just not sure if its worth it to have him sitting on the bench for a week or two

Doosra, what you doing this week...I'm tempted to wildcard...but so close to the int break it seems such a shame.

          Here's my team

          given-ruddy
          bos-baines-kompany-brown
          larson-jarvis-sinclair
Dzeko(will not play) Ageuro rooney (prob won't play

          bench - brunt - simpson - moses

And more importantly no Nani, No Young, No bloomin Man Utd cover.

I have no nuited cover and i'm just going to deal with it, as long as young/nani dont score too big i should be ok.

I wouldnt wildcard, wait until gw7 or gw11. I'd go dzeko to Ade or hernan if you can afford the latter. Rooney wont play this week but he should be ok for gw8, so if you sell you might need to buy back for a higher price.

I'm wildcarding gw7 I think so can handle a slight rooney drop.. I'll be selling for 12.2...I can handle paying more to get him back, but can't see him scoring heavily in pool or everton games. Would prefer to get Nani in as man utd cover during wildcard.

                  Tough week this.

Yeah that's the way to go. Currently got Mata and Nani myself. Then switch Mata to Silva in a few weeks. Id really like VDV as an alternative to Adebayor but it's tough to have 3 big guns up front and in midfield without dross everywhere else.

Got rested last year against Everton because of his transfer request....nothing to do with the abuse. If he thought that way he would have never played Beckham/Neville/Ronaldo. Pro's feed off the abuse.

Rooney is fixture proof IMO, just gotta decide if you wanna have a 12.5mill sub for this week! If fit he is the must have striker.

                    1) You have to be in your teens if you get so worked up and are so argumentative about things.

                    2) obviously you care otherwise why would you be getting so worked up

                    3) You tell people that they can be funny sometimes but shouldn't try so hard. Then when you're trying too hard and it gets pointed out to you, you get all upset.

                    4) you sounded stupid, because it is clearly a proverb.

Haha well I guess we will continue on the number-pointed arguments
                    1. I don't get so worked up, people get worked up at me because most of you 'guys' are so sensitive on here, also, even if I was a teen (which I am not) that wouldn't necessarily lead to me being little...sorry, and the fact that you replied instead of letting it go leads to just as big an argument that you are in your teens.

One day you'll need to start being a little more honest with yourself because at the moment you don't impress anyone...

Steam rolling a conversation doesn't mean you're right about something, it just means you're not listening and the other person is getting fed up trying to say something to you.

Gee, I know I'll regret involving myself in this, but here goes anyway...

Jack, to be honest mate - as a fellow Aussie I'm sometimes a bit embarrassed by your posts and your putting down of others on here. You seem to know your stuff, and you give some great advice, but you also get involved with smart-arse comments that aren't really necessary and come across as antagonistic. Just keep giving the good advice mate and ease off on the slanging matches. Just how I see it, and that don't mean I'm right. Anyway, Bob's your uncle - and Warriors to win this Sunday... 😀

That makes sense, as I am representing Australia here 😯
Half the shit I say isnt even bad, there are just so many people on here that get worked up over nothing I find it hilarious and ridiculous..
And...if you read over this one, you will realise I have done nothing wrong, bobsUncle had a little crack at me first and then he decided to take things personally.
+1 to the Warriors, I couldn't stand it if Manly win!

For a 4 point hit (which I hate unless I cant field 11 players) I think that is probably the best gamble you can make.
I'd put my house on them both scoring this wknd.

I have Aguero and am thinking of Rooney -> Hernandez myself, waiting for Sat morn tho, just in case

    Guys.....need som help!

    Here is my team:

    Vorm/Ruddy
    Kompany, Gabbidon, Simpson, DeLaet, Ward
    Silva, SWP, Young, Mata, Dyer
    Adebayor, Rooney, Suarez

Problem is....Rooney, gabbidon and delaet is likely not to play this gw.

With a -4 to do something clever or less clever? Since I probably have no reserves...

Suggestions? Rooney -> Aguero and DeLaet -> Brown or wood gate?

What's the general consensus on Ramsey for the forseeable, until Wilshere is back? I've not really being paying attention to him. Does he get in attacking positions? Is he playing further forward than Arteta? What do his stats suggest?

judging by his reaction and mancini's comments I'd say the best he can hope for is a sub appearance.

it'll be either Ageuro and balotelli...or with De Jong back he'll revert back to a packed midfield, with YAYA moving forward.

that'll prob be Ageuro up front flanked by Nasri, Silva, Yaya bombing forward and barry and de jong sitting. Or he may find room for milner at the expense of de jong and have yaya and barry sitting.

Whatever...it looks like bad news for me and all the other dezko owners.

Apparently Fergie has said he "hopes" he will play, which is better than when he said he could be out for "2 or 3 weeks". I personally think he will be on the bench just in case another Basel happens. I seriously hope he doesn't start, as I've already punted him out for a 4ph...

Carlos Tevez is saying, “This is not the right time to get into specific details as to why this did not happen”. Actually Carlos, this is the perfect time to tell everyone why you were such a spoilt, gummy arseh*le.

However, this is not the only thing everyone should be talking about this morning. I’m sure it has been mentioned already but we should also be slating those two Kettering players who got sent off for having a fight in the middle of the pitch over who was going to take a penalty! They were 5-3 down at home with a few minutes left when it all kicked off.. Clueless, selfish buffoons.

I was so far ahead of my mini league at the end of last season I took a crazy risk by putting 8 dbl game week players in. But in order to do it I took out player like N'Zog and others that I had in my team for ages.

lets just say that my overall ranking could have been a lot better last year, but that double game week was very exciting, even if it was also a little disappointing!

I didn't see the City game, saw the Utd game on mute... what did people think to the Pen from Valencia's foul? Was it just good shielding of the ball? Though one for the ref. Be interested to hear your thoughts cos' I couldn't make my mind up.

Na i do see your point but i think shielding the ball to go out is differnt as both players are usually on their feet and not making a tackle to block or shield.

This week, Balo may be worth a shout. And Welbeck. And Sturridge... All with a good chance of assists/goals, even if they get 45 minutes.

Maybe we can make some sense of City/United starters. If Rooney is still so doubtful and there's an outside chance he'll play, he surely won't be started, he'll be sub at best. And since Tevez has ruled himself out for possibly forever and Dzeko is benched according to Mancini, Aguero and Balotelli are only remaining starters with one coming off for Dzeko later - this has got to be Aguero given he played full 90 against Bayern and Balotelli played well last GW. So Aguero and Rooney play short games, best case scenario. They're good but not so good they can outperform Ade, RVP, Suarez and Drogba over the full 90. Try them this GW.

I think rooney will start or not be involved cant see him on the bench vs norwich.

I'd captain nani or young if i had either of them.

Im stuck between ade silva aguero rvp I agree with your predictions on the gametime but aguero could easily outscore the lot in 30 mins never mind 60

Your first three options look OK to me isacki, but Drogba? four appearances 1 goal against Swansea at home. Aguero 32 mins first game 2 goals against Swansea at home. + another six goals since.

Seems as if Aguero has the potential to be subbed off most matches. Not so sure that I would hang my hat on saying he's not so good that he can outperform Ade, RVP, Suarez and Drogba, though. The bloke has already got 2 goals in a 15 minute cameo, and a hat-trick in a single half of football.

Plus we aren't looking at so little game time for Aguero now that Dz is benched and Tevez out of the picture. I think Ballo will be subbed for AJohnson if anything.

Hmmmm maybe Aguero really is unbelievably good and does more in a cameo than top PL strikers in a match. The stats are pretty convincing. Only mention Drogba because I think so far he's made many sub apps into a team built for Torres - who's left him 3 games to make an impact. Minutes-to-goals ratios for PL strikers so far this season, anyone?

What are your thoughts on Sessegnon's place in the starting XI after his awful display on Monday. Originally I wanted to get rid immediately, but with Rooney out and Dzeko with a sub role I should deal with them first, right?

I have done Young > Nani last night. Seems a sideways move but (i) I am concerned that Young may be rested vs Norwich and, more importantly, (ii) I am starting to think that Nani will outscore Young over the course of the season - he just looks dangerous everytime he gets the ball. The fact that Nani is rising in value is a bonus.

I may take a 4 point hit (Rooney > RVP) if it looks like Rooney is definately out.

          Sinclair,Sessagnon,Nani(C) (Taarabt,Moses)
          Suarez,Van Persie (Gervinho)

I already did Silva -> Nani
Should I do A.Cole -> Kompany and Gervinho -> Aguero for an 8 point hit? Is it worth it?

You transferred Silva OUT when you had 2 Arsenal strikers and Sess in your team??

Your transfer ideas look good but maybe do them over 2 weeks. Cole out this week then forwards next week.

You should probably have downgraded Gervinho and upgraded Sess to Nani.

Still, you could do your suggested transfers over 2 weeks and pray that Silva and Aguero do nothing against Blackburn.

Would love a bit of advice here:

          Given Vorm
          Kompany Bos Enrique Simpson Brown
          Nani Nasri Jarvis Brunt Dyer
          Adebayor Dzeko Rooney

1.0 in the bank. No free transfers left this week.

Dzeko is going for sure for a 4 pointer. I also think Aguero is pretty much essential now that rotation risk is reduced. Options I was thinking:

          1. Dzeko - Suarez (4 pts)
          2. Dzeko & Rooney - Aguero & Suarez/Drogba (8 points)
          3. Dzeko & Kompany - Aguero & 4.2 def (probably QPR)

Will most likely wildcard GW11 whatever happens.

Sturridge to Welbeck seems a bit risky and short-term - When Rooney and Hernandez are fit you'll need to swap him out again - and R+H might even be fit for the weekend. Sit on it for a couple of days.
