Roberto Mancini has tonight stated that he wants Carlos Tevez “out of the club” after the Argentinian striker refused to play a part from the bench in City’s Champions League tie in Munich.

In a story that will likely run and run over the coming days, the Italian has tonight made a damning statement that appears to break Tevez’ ties with the club once and for all.

“If I have my way he will be out of the club. He’s finished with me…For me it’s a bad situation. In a game like this it’s important for a player to help the team. This is impossible.”

Tevez appeared to be openly objecting to Mancini on the bench in the second-half; the City boss later revealing that he had intended on introducing the striker in an attempt to recover tonight’s 2-0 defeat to an impressive Bayern outfit.

“He refused to come on the pitch. What I said to Carlos is between me, him and the team…I am really disappointed because it is Carlos…We will speak about this with the chairman in the next few days.”

Developments will undoubtedly unfold over the rest of the week, but tonight’s events and particularly Mancini’s comments, will now surely bring the Tevez situation to a head following a turbulent spell at the club.

“If we want to improve as team Carlos can’t play with us. With me, he is finished.”

For Fantasy managers, should Tevez be frozen out at City, it will certainly reduce the uncertainty surrounding the rotation of Mancini’s strikers – presumably cementing Sergio Aguero’s starting role further.

Certainly Aguero’s start for Saturday’s trip to Blackburn looks assured after Mancini also moved to punish Edin Dzeko’s petulance following his substitution in tonight’s game. Dzeko was replaced on 55 minutes by Nigel De Jong, reacting angrily to the decision from his manager. Mancini has stated post-match that the Bosnian striker will now be benched on Saturday as a result.

“Next time he will stay on the bench with me.”

This will come as another blow for Dzeko’s Fantasy owners who have suffered nothing but uncertainty since his four goal spree at White Hart Lane. Mancini will presumably now turn to Mario Balotelli for the Ewood Park trip – a player who has himself courted controversy during his City career.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

He was a jerk that had no courtesy for others in the room, so he'd party and have sex at 4am while I was trying to sleep. I'm a pre med major and he's in business so the parties happened quite frequently and I got him kicked out for it. So to retaliate, he broke something he knew was important to me.

it's very challenging, but I like that. You actually have to think about what you do off the ball, instead of just holding A and B (on xbox) and there is a much greater chance at conceding a penalty which is also a plus in my mind.

I've gotten 4 penalties, but my opponents were good guessers, so I've only made 1 haha.
It's soooo much better than 11 imo.

yeah you can, but it takes away from the game. I love the challenge. It's very realistic. I love the defensive side of football. Both in RL and in the game. I have a lot of respect for a good defense

exactly...it's disappointing as a City fan, but that man does not deserve to play. I liked that Super Mario gave Mancini a hug over the weekend. Maybe a sign that he has a good attitude...slim chance of that though right? haha. I really hope he has changed and continues to score goals like he had in the 2 games he was subbed in.

No way back for Tevez now. Sends out the wrong message if he is allowed to get away with such behaviour.

Jecko as well needs to hear a few choice words about his conduct when subbed off last night.

Well I see it from Dzeko's side - he's playing in the Champion's league and obviously wants to win, he then sees his side 2-0 down and the boss takes him off for a defensive midfielder. I'd be pissed too, Mancini has no tactical ability and makes the same substitutions whether winning or losing, he's no Mourinho is he.

Yes they have. Agbonlahor, Ramires and Nani all went up.

Yaya and Taarabt are the only major fallers that people are likely to still have.

Naturally, I have Taarabt and want to get Nani.

Waiting to WC until GW7 has royally screwed me price wise and means I'm prob going to have to ditch one of Kompany or Bosingwa to go ultra cheap on def in order to get Nani and Silva.

              Aguero.

Rooney may yet play, which will take points from Nani. Plus if you have Rooney already then that covers you for Utd.

Plus, I think Aguero likely to score more points against a defence that is conceding 3 goals a game.

The things is MU, MC & Tott are all going to score big guns this weekend. And we know Dzeko might not play in the first team for a while now.

Moses will probably give me 2 pts this week again. If I take a hit, that's another 4 points. You'd expect almost all these forwards to score atleast a goal/assist this weekend, making up for this hit.

I mean I know RVP is doing well but I just dont see 2 away games to Spurs and Chelsea with 2 Home games to Sunderland and Stoke as pure fixture gold, Man cities look alot better over the next 4 weeks. GW11 looks alot better to me for Arsenal fixtures. Thoughts, am I crazy or is there some logic to this madness?

Trouble is if i do RVP->Aguero it's another 4 points lost and effctively i'll start with Aguero 1 goal behing before he does anything :-(!

As elnin says below, RVP is a great FPL player and is usually in the mix, he could easily score as well as Aguero.
Being a derby game aswell there's usually a penalty involved!
I have Ade and RVP and not too happy with it, but the points hit is a risk...

I'm thinking of taking out Suarez for Aguero and Jagielka for Enrique and taking a 4pt hit.

          Good idea?

Suarez is a good shout, but by taking a 4 point hit for Jagielka you're effectively going to be -2 for him assuming he plays 90mins and concedes?

I see what your saying but i need that 0.4 from the Jags>enrique transfer to make the Suarez>Aguero one.

Long term I feel the Jags to Enrique tranfer will be a good one too

Fair call mate, i'd say try and opt for another defender in that case.
I have Enrique and he represents a bargain, could nip in with an assist, so go for it i say! 🙂

My team (which i'm not too happy with!)

          Krul (Vorm)
          Enrique Bosingwa Kompany (Simpson, Briggs)
          Taarabt Brunt Nani Silva (N.Dyer)
          Drogba Adebayor RVP

Dzeko will steal the limelight on the weekend. Mancini has criticized his performance and unlike Tevez, he'll step up his game.

Also, mancini will want him to score to make an example to tevez so his tactics may be based around dzeko.

I'm going Drogs over Aguero for this reason, and ManC have ManU in a couple of weeks and i don't want 3 manC players for that.

But I can see Drogba and Lampard benefiting over the next three gameweeks in Torres' absence. Essentially I see Chelsea as having two separate teams at the moment one centred around Torres the other one around Lampard/Drogba. Drogba won't be staying if he wasn't guaranteed at least 20 starts (10 goals) this season all competitions

I dont agree, It's fairly clear Aguero will tart agaisnt a Blackburn tem who are leaking goals left right and centre.

If Aguero can keep up his form he should bag a fair few points this weekend.

I dont think Drogs is a bad shout of course but it's better to wait to see if he can score his way back into the 1stteam fold before gambling on him IMO

Drogs played last game and scored. I can't see AVB leaving such a world class player out. And drogba is bound to score if he plays. I can see dzeko and mario playing on the weekend to give aguero a break. He's just as much of a rotation threat than drogs.

I'm not, it's multiple transfers hence the hit. I'd probably replace Rooney with a promising cheapo ie. Best/BA/maybe even Agbon. Just focusing on the really big fish in my transfer dilemma.

Not sure when/how much you bought Rooney for but I cant afford to lose him now. Ive had him from the start and he's worth 12.2 in my team but would cost 12.5 to buy him back (when he's back and inevitably scoring again). There is even an outside chance he could play against Norwich so I dont see an sense in selling him.

Dzeko on the other hand is definitely consigned to the bench and longer term who knows how Mancini will use him after his outburst. So possibly worth selling and I like the looks of Adebayor to replace him. Suarez is perhaps worth waiting for until his fixtures look better

Yeah I was thinking Dzeko > Adebayor as they're going in opposite directions in every way.

Like I said above, speak of the devil, I think price changes have screwed me already and I need to go back to the drawing board before making a concrete proposal.

I wouldn't be so worried about losing money on Too IF he doesn't play v Norwich. He is about to drop already, and in the long international break immediately after Norwich he'll fall further. Your ultimate loss may be 0.1 optimistically in exchange for a burst of differential points this GW.

I'm determined to get him after what happened yesterday, yep. Regarding his absence I think a coping strategy I might try WCing in the intbreak is having a viable 5 man midfield so you can drop down to 3-5-2 in his absence. That necessitates two pricey and one bargain striker I reckon.

Was going to give Dzeko another week but after last night looks almost certain he will be on the bench.

Already have Suarez and Ade up front and .9 million in the bank.

Who is the best striker to add for 9.4 million or less?!

Cheers guys - assume you agree Dzeko will be benched then - can't help thinking that Mancini may start him to set an example to Tevez??

I don't think anyone can predict with confidence what Mancini (or for that matter SAF) will do with his strikers. I mean, buying Balotelli, that's an inexplicable decision in itself. Once you get into psychology not fundamentals you're on shaky ground. I wonder if he shouldn't have rested Dzeko after scoring 4. Never regained that elusive form. Still a class manager.

Yea i'm going to try dzeko for another week but i'd assume he will be benched and mancini will start with balotelli

Surely Agbonlahor deserves a mention. Only real Villa striker in absence of Bent, very well priced, good form and it's all going through him.

Hey guys i'm really struggling with my transfers this week...
I've got a top of the table clash in my H2H this week(we're both on 5 wins) and we both have pretty much the same team. So this transfer will be crucial.
I am bringing out Jarvis for sure but don't know whether to bring in Taarabt or Ramsey. Any thoughts appreciated and give WHY you think he is the better pick.
                  Cheers guys

Not too keen on either of the choices but understand you are limited by funds.

From the 2 listed I'd go for Ramsey as Arse seem on the up (a little) and Ramsey has been producing a few assists recently.

Taraabt has been playing ok but hasnt given any returns in FF terms. So I'd play it safe and go Ramsey

                    Ramsey.
Taarabt shit fixtures coming up and produced nothing, people are getting rid, not sure why you would be jumping on now

Are you sure about Jarvis? has a home game, both the others are away and not exactly setting the footballing world on fire?

Get the Super Six...if you can. I got them in last week on a w/c and I took the view that price movements will make them unaffordable by week 8. See my team as linked for ideas.

Intrigued you can squeeze them all into a team lol. Obviously did a right bargain on the defence. Can see some fearsome prices rises to be reaped there too.
