This week’s episode of the FFS podcast features some classic match-ups – Nani vs Young, Narni vs Nanny, Tomayto vs Tomahto, Sessegnon v Row Z, Common Sense vs Mark.

All battles are resolved, with the regular stalwarts of the ScoutCast thrown in, culminating with Mark’s desperate defence of his seemingly unshakable faith in Victor Moses. Also, look out for a mention of my Champions League placing – England’s number one for 24 hours no less.

Grab the goodness here…

Did I mention I was England’s number one in the Champions League game? (edit – I see Mark has been busy editing my post)

probably RVP due to fixtures, I don't expect him to score that highly this GW but he should do better than Rooney after this GW (at least for the next few gamesweeks).

So, the inevitable Rooney price drop has begun.

Going to be interesting to see what happens today.

Will SAF tell us Rooney's playing and make all those who transferred Rooney out early look like idiots?

Or will we all be scrambling to get rid before midnight tonight as Rooney is ruled out of Saturday's fixture and he drops like a boulder in the ocean during the International break..........?

    Given (Vorm)
Enrique Bosingwa Kompany (N Taylor Simpson)
O'Hara Mata Nani(C) Silva (VC) (Moses)
    Odem Suarez Adebayor

    Who do I bench??
I'm leaning towards playing Moses or O'Hara but I'm worried they won't score. Also, N Taylor and Simpson have a good chance of a clean sheet. Who should I bench??

But those who list their whole squad and give out an open question as to wot their next move should be, I think isn't really getting the pt of this game.. Or at least not about to enjoy this game with wot it's actually offering..

Ok fellow addicts, I've taken my first hit this season (Cole to Naylor and Sess to Nani). Here's how I line up (won't be to everyone's taste):

    Schwarz
    Naylor Bos Komp
    Dyer Walters Nani (VC) Young
    Dzeko Roo (C) Ag

    Vorm Moses Gabbi Simpson

    Any thoughts most welcome.

        Please expand...

Dzeko may get rotated this week, but he still has a massive part to play this season. I am convinced Biblotelli won't be a major player. Wouldn't trust him with his lack of discipline and little talent to make up for that. With Tevez out of the frame Dzeko and will be needed until Jan.

Roo may well miss out this week, but I don't trust a 12m Arsenal player even if he is quality. Only the Sun game do I find really appealing.

Maybe I'm thinking way too far ahead but for this week and from GW11 it will be good to treble on Utd coverage. Eggs in one basket and all that, but I don't trust the likes of Mata yet.

Cheers Arselona and KSG. Tricky, tricky, tricky. Moses is a problem, but I am not convinced there are any viable alternatives. Certainly not worth a precious transfer.

Walters is very underrated FPL wise, but Ramsey would be a better shout.

I agree on Walters, was looking at adding him a few weeks ago too. Just think that in Dyer, Moses and Walters (away) you're carrying 3 hit or miss guys when you'd probably want to carry 2 at most.

If you can get Ramsey in that'd definitely be an improvement IMO.

      Not buying the Adebayor hype.

Not sure how you would put Ramsey or Silva in, but maybe Young to Silva. Or Walters to Ramsey.

I'm concerned about Rooney and Aguero/Dzeko. Don't think Rooney's playing. What about if Dzeko doesn't either? I'd shift Rooney.

And I reckon Simpson could be a good bet.

Cheers Teddy, fascinating strategy BTW. I always find it interesting when people adopt their own. I myself tried a strong 5 at the back every week at the start of this season, but it didn't work.

Anyway, Walters to Ramsey and Silva to Young (after Nor) are the transfers I am eyeing up next.

However, Dzeko and Roo are probably more pressing. Dzeko isn't looking great but I think he will justify his value. But then the quota means I can't have Silva! Rooney to RVP for a 4 point hit may be a possibility. These are probably Rooney's toughest 3 fixtures for the season.

        I'm like a pendulum...

          You're wrong.

Players who are young and recover quickly and have been out for only one game do not come on for 10 minutes in a game their team is already cruising. Old players who have been out ages are a different story.

Remarkably unlikely he'll be on the bench and even less likely he'll actually be used IMO.

He'll either start and go off when they're comfortable around the 60 minute mark, or he won't be involved at all.

Morning folks. Final decision needs to be made this morning cos I'm away for the weekend!

    RVP (C) or Silva (C)

RVP should be fresh and ready to score in a historically high scoring fixture, although with King/Kaboul looking good it might not be as high scoring as previously.

Silva is obviously a good choice for captain but I feel like he/City could be tired after Munich and just grind out a 1-0 away to a struggling Blackburn side.

Currently it's on RVP but I'm tempted by Silva! Any thoughts would be appreciated!

If he doesn't play against Norwich he will almost certainly drop over the 2 week break.

For whatever reasons people en masse will get rid and the next price drop is the one people start losing money on him.

Theres a lot of people planning to use their wildcards tomorrow and theres nothing like seeing £0.1m wiped off a players value to force people to transfer a player out.

    Morning guys,

Have two little issues I want your opinion on if you don't mind.

1st: to Rooney or not to Rooney? I would quite like to buy in a new striker just for this week, but only if Rooney is guaranteed not to play. So my question is how likely is he to play? (sorry if this has been asked a million times!)

2nd: Santon being included in the Newcastle squad does this mean Raylor will be given the boot, hence me having to bring in a different defender? I have both Saylor and Raylor and I think I have been riding my luck for a long time having them both in my squad. So ditch Raylor and bring in Shawcross maybe?

    Here's my team:

    Vorm
Raylor, Saylor, the Boss man, Baines, Warnock
    Silva, Taarabt, Lucas, Cleverly, Tiote
    Adebayor, Aguero, Rooney

Sorry for the long post! Thanks in advance! 😀

Lucas, Cleverley, Tiote all need upgrading. If you still have your wildcard I'd play it tomorrow night.

Get rid of Baines and get a better mid if no wildcard.

Yeah my idea was to take a 4 point hit this week by taking Baines out and upgrading my mids, then bloody Rooney gets injured! haha! Im gonna hold onto my wildcard until absolutely necessary. I'll see what SAF has to say today. But I can see Baines getting a penno against Liverpool, so I guess I could keep him in one more week!

    My team is like this:
    Given/Vorm
    Shawcross Simpson Mertesacker Kompany/De Laet
    Silva Dyer Modric Tiote/Ferguson
    Rooney RVP Aguero

I know it is very heavy going forward and I won't let go Rooney since am confident going with 2 forwards. Is the midfield weak also? I am planning to save on transfers since after the international break players might get injured. I am also particularly not happy with the subs but they are cheap.
Please voice out your opinions about this team?

Considering Rooney won't play, Ferguson will never play, and De Laet is no longer a starter. You pretty much have your first team chosen for you.

If any of your team gets injured or just doesn't play, then you'll have no one to come in.

In my opinion I'd downgrade Rooney to someone like Agbonlahor, even maybe Adebayor, and upgrade De Laet and Ferguson do 5/6m starters
