The strange summer of October has dawned on us this Saturday morning and, with about an hour to go until Fantasy Premier League locks the doors ahead of gameweek seven, the regularly scheduled programming of the opening of the Saturday Surgery is nigh.

As clocks count down until Fantasy Managers are left but to the fickle fate of twenty rogue squads of Football Players we’re left to deliberate over those last gasp decisions…

Hopefully a week’s worth of Fantasy Football Scout material can help those in a deadline pushing quandary. The “Scout Committee” have put forward a new set of Scout Picks while our members can read in great detail as to why Gareth Bale got the call to arms.

The Weekend Team News is in (Wayne Rooney is fit) and our community have been scrabbling for days to try and decide on who to hand their weekly armband to.

        It looks good. But be wary of Nasri and Young. Everyone will be saying that you should have either silva or nasri; or nani or Young. But they are not the same players. Nani and Silva will score higher, more consistently. Nasri and Young are not as incredible as they seem. They're great players though and will score you points.

        Definitely stick with the team you've got. You were extremely unlucky to score so low last week, it's a very good squad you've got and kneejerk transfers will only make it worse.

      Team's fine enough, I'd hold and hope your players do something.

      I personally think Nasri is going to get dropped/rested today though. But I don't exactly have a track record on these things.

    Arteta to Nani seems a good choice, but to fund it I need to swap out Dzeko - Sturridge or Agbonlahor look the obvious choices.

    Can anyone tell me, in detail, how playing your wildcard in the internation break is an advantage, and how to utilise that advantage?! I understand you can make $, but what is the best way to do it and when?

      Try to select the players you think will rise .2 or more in the two week break as early as you can.

      use ur wildcard at 12noon, watch the games and follow totalfpl, transfer out all your dead-weight and bring in the risers that u think willl rise more than once in 2 weeks

      It is because you get two weeks of price rises, you are able to buy players you think will go up wait for them to rise and sell them increasing your team value. Obviously you only gain 0.1m for every 0.2m that a player goes up.

        The trouble is a player goes up because people are buying them and there is usually a reason for that, so you'll want to keep them anywAy!

      Activate it tonight and follow the heard, buy the players that are being transferred in the most (ultimately the players that have the best performances over this weekend). At the same time get rid of the people dropping value in your team. Then at the last min...just pick the team you want for the next gw....2 weeks from now.

      Play it as soon this gameweek deadline closes. (1131) then bring in players who will rise over the next two weeks, ie players who play well this weekend. Then when it comes to the next gw you can pick your team having benefitted from any players that have risen in price.

    Just not sure who to get rooney or aguero.

    Rooney starting from the bench might just be a good thing as stats show if matches ended at half time norwich would have been 3rd. Just bloody hope he doe does not come on for the last 10mins.

    As for aguero, i have a feeling there might be rotation all across the team, points shared.

      when asked about if dzeko is fine to start after mancini said he would stay on the bench after the bayern munich game:
