Okay…you might have noticed – things have changed around here.

After months and months of time, money, sweat and tears – we thought we’d roll out the new layout just to see if things held together. It’s a gamble – it may disappear before your very eyes and revert back to the old Scout. Then again, it might be here to stay.

We hope that all goes smoothly – the that the new layout settles on our servers and will provide the basis for a new era for the site. Let’s see how we go.

There is more to do (we know the Watchlist is incomplete and the poll is old). More features to roll out – particularly within the comments code. For now, we’re taking baby steps – although this is a pretty big first stride.

So then, if you stayed with us long enough to reach this ungodly hour, you get to the see the new look on the live servers – a proper first.

We hope you like.

    I like that the +1 counter for each person has been removed since the last test site, I feel less pressurised to say anything useful or witty.

        i Like the thumbs up thumbs down buttons (or +1, -1) as it could mean far more responses for simple questions

        e.g Who should i replace my injured player with:

        thumbs up for VDV, thumbs down for Young

    Lookinf for a replacement for Bramble with 0.0 to spare. Already have Neil Taylor and looking at having a punt on Davide Santon.

    Any thoughts on him? The two week break gives him plenty of time to work up fitness and despite of Raylors good FPL score atm i dont hink he has been playing great at all, esp defensively.

    Is there a reputation system planned for this site? I believe that this would be a great idea, as more people would be inclined to answer questions to improve their reputation, in order to gain more respect.

    I've gone for Murphy, Jimski. He is Fulham captain and is rotation proof barring injury, on pens and many set pieces. I can see an argument for any one of the three though. You like setting tough challenges, I noticed before. 🙂

      Thanks - the trouble is I set *myself* these tough challenges, and frequently seem to pick the wrong option. I was erring towards Ramsey (for Arsenal coverage) but now the other two seem more tempting. Hmmm...

      I'd like if there was a way to show all replies instead of having to 'show' individually. Sometimes replies are more interesting and informative than the initial post. This being a point in case 😉

      The white posts are new comments, and the grey are replies. It'll take a bit of getting used to as white/grey used to be used for new comments on the old site.

    Lot of ppl are discussing about VDV as long term option here. But i think he is going to be a rotation risk with defoe.. It doesnt make sense to play him right wing, he is way too slow.. IMO formation would be

      In my opinion they'll play either VdV off Adebayor with the midfield you've given, or drop Sandro and play Modric centrally, VdV right and Defoe up with Ade.

      No, they aren't going to drop one of their best players.
      He fits in regardless, because he scores and assists alot of their goals.
      He will play off Adebayor in some games, or on the right like yesterday, depending on opponent.

      It has killed my ability to see anything on my mobile. may have to play with turning off Javascript but it doesn´t look good at all for me.

    Aw no, its so shiny and colourful its way harder for me to use at work - without getting caught!
    The old one used to blend more with the look of our work systems 🙂
    Seriously tho, best of luck with it all - I guess if you stay still in this game you're going backwards.

    I'm in two classic leagues that were set up by the nrlsctalk guys, but I can't see any code on the FPL league pages. And the last few times I've looked at the nrlsctalk site, it's been inaccessible, otherwise you could look at the original post. Sorry mate, not much help! 🙁

    I use a MacBook and there's now virtually no content visible 'above the fold'. So I can't scan-read content on the first page and have to scroll everywhere.

    A triumph for colourful design over useabiity and user experience.
