There’s plenty to play for in tomorrow’s Euro 2012 final round of qualifying matches. With so many teams still in the mix, we bring you the likely starters ahead of a crucial night for Fantasy managers, with some brief South American news thrown in for good measure.

Simon Mignolet, Vincent Kompany and Moussa Dembele are all likely starters for Belgium’s trip to Germany. All three were part of the starting XI that hammered Kazakhstan 4-1 –with Kompany finding the net- on Friday, as they moved up to second in Group A. They need to equal or better Turkey’s result in Azerbaijan to clinch a play-off place- Germany are already through as group winners.

Russia need a point at home to Andorra to clinch top spot in Group B. Andrei Arshavin and Roman Pavlyuchenko started in Friday’s key 1-0 win in Slovakia and both should continue in the first XI as Dick Advocaat looks to clinch the group in style.

The Republic of Ireland still have much to play for as they play host to Armenia. A point would be enough to see them grab a play-off place, though they could still finish top if Russia lose to Andorra- an unlikely scenario. Kevin Doyle was amongst the scorers in Friday’s 2-0 win in Andorra and there will be plenty Fantasy managers with an eye on this one- the likes of Shay Given, John O’Shea and Damien Duff all started, though Stephen Ward picked up a yellow on Friday and is suspended.

Northern Ireland have nothing more than pride to play for as they head to Italy. Nigel Worthington’s side will have to make do without Chris Brunt though- the West Brom player is sidelined with an ankle problem. Chris Baird was the only other Premier League starter on Friday in the 2-1 home defeat to Estonia.

Serbia need to win in Slovenia to book a play-off spot. Friday’s 1-1 home draw with Italy saw Branislav Ivanovic net his country’s goal, with Aleksandar Kolarov also starting. Despite reports suggesting Nemanja Vidic was hoping to be fit, he didn’t make the sub’s bench.

Edin Dzeko will travel to Paris with Bosnia for a winner takes all showdown. Dzeko opened the scoring on Friday evening to set his country on their way to a 5-0 win over Luxemburg and will be a key figure as they square up to Laurent Blanc’s side.

France are still sweating on the fitness of Yohan Cabaye and Patrice Evra ahead of the Group D game. A point is enough for the hosts, though whoever finishes second is still assured of a play-off place. Florent Malouda, Younes Kaboul and Samir Nasri all started in Friday’s 3-0 win over Albania and look set to continue in Laurent Blanc’s first XI tomorrow night.

Sweden are assured of a play-off place but host Group E winners Holland knowing a win would see them automatically qualify as best runners-up. Both Martin Olsson and Seb Larsson started and grabbed a goal apiece in Saturday’s 2-0 win in Finland.

Holland’s 1-0 win over Moldova clinched their place as group winners. Bert van Marwijk’s side have a 100% record so far and will be looking to maintain that as they travel to Sweden. Fantasy managers will be hoping rotation comes into play here- Michel Vorm, Rafael Van der Vaart, Dirk Kuyt and Robin Van Persie all started in Friday’s triumph.

Croatia’s 2-0 loss in Greece means they will likely finish runners-up in Group F- Greece need just a draw in Georgia to qualify automatically. Results elsewhere, however, could still see Croatia qualify as best runners-up, so Spurs trio Luka Modric, Niko Krancjar and Vedran Corluka all have plenty still to play for.

Wales are out of the race for qualification but their 2-0 win over Switzerland saw nine Premier League players start for Gary Speed’s side. Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale will look to take their goalscoring form to Bulgaria on Tuesday night, with Fantasy managers also keeping a keen eye on the likes of Swansea defenders Neil Taylor and Ashley Williams.

A 4-1 win in Cyprus means Denmark host Portugal already assured of second place in Group H. A win would see them finish top, though a draw would favour the visitors’ better head-to-head record- Thomas Sorenson and Nicklas Bendtner will be certain starters.

Two goals from Nani helped Portugal to a 5-3 win over Iceland on Friday night. Level on points with Denmark, they know a draw would be sufficient to ensure top spot. Raul Meireles also seems assured of a starting role in Tuesday’s crucial showdown.

Spain continued their 100% record with a 2-0 win over the Czech Republic. Vicente del Bosque started with a trio of Premier League players; Juan Mata, David Silva and Fernando Torres- Mata opened the scoring, while Silva picked up an assist for Xabi Alonso’s second. While Spain are coasting at the top of Group I and are already through to next year’s tournament, their opponents on Tuesday have everything to play for.

Scotland travel to Spain still in with a chance of a play-off spot. Craig Levein has injury worries over Barry Bannan though the midfielder is feeling positive of his chances despite a gash to his right heel. Scotland are currently in second place in Group I and will cement a play-off place if they equal or better the Czech Republic’s score in Lithuania. Expect plenty of Premier League players to be involved in this crucial match- as many as eight started Saturday’s 1-0 win win in Liechtenstein. Reports also suggest Charlie Adam and Phil Bardsley are both carrying knocks.

In the South American World Cup qualifiers, Pablo Zabaleta took to the field in Argentina’s 4-1 win over Chile, with Sergio Aguero’s groin strain keeping him sidelined. Gonzalo Jara played for the visitors and both have games against Venezuela and Peru respectively tomorrow.

Luis Suarez scored in Uruguay’s 4-2 win over Bolivia and now faces a trip to Paraguay.

The African Cup of Nations qualifiers are now done and dusted. Yaya and Kolo Toure both scored in Ivory Coast’s 2-1 win over Burundi, with Cheik Tiote also playing for the victors, as they finished as the only team with a 100% record.

I remember Andrei Arshavin was banned for two games of Euro 2008 for a similar incident in Russia's last qualifying game for that tournament. Rooney will probably get the same punishment. It should really be three games though.

I do i do. Just a bit to do with price rises and monitoring them, but also stuck with ideas on the best squad to go for from here on in. Doesn't help that Adebayor and Aguero are doubts too, so i can't actually sell them yet

Very annoying, I just liked the look of farrrr too many players over my team so I thought,

"if you want them, just get them and have done with it!"

So here I am much MUCH happier 😀

I understand your qualms, I think Adebayor will play this weekend, as for Aguero? God knows.

Why, when I hit the SHOW button for a particular comment, does it not show all nested replies for that comment, instead of having to press SHOW again many times in order to see them all?

I don't necessarily want it to show all replies to all comments, just all the nested replies to that particular comment.

Also, indentations or different colours would be useful in order to distinguish replies to replies from replies to the original comment.

Once again I am thinking why the hll I'm in this site anyway...After agueros injury I was all set to do aguero to rvp move straight away, cos back then I could afford it without a hit. Also tought that cos his price will definetely drop at least 0.1, I would be able to buy him back for gw10 propably without losing any money after rvp's double prise rise (wich will come!).
Feedback was again nononono, wait wait wait, don't panic, don't be stupid, rvp = glassleg..blaah..don't I know it, but I need to take little a gamble to get him in!
Well then some smartas* "knew" aguero need over 250 % before his price will drop, and I waited only to notice that that really wasn't the case!

My comment is only made for me myself and I to realise, that this site is very good place to find information, but also very dangerous place to be talked out of your own good opinnions.
I (and You!) need to remember that I am the best manager to make decisions to MY team!

This is a good site, there are good articles and information available, but don't put too much faith in comments from people.

      a) There is no way to be sure the people posting comments are any good.
      b) There is no way to be sure the advice given has been given full consideration by the poster and is the action they would follow if in the same situation themselves.

Your judgement rules, the decision is yours. When it goes well you will take the credit. When it does not you do not have anyone else to blame.

And for now on I will remember it.
Altough I have to admit that when I saw aguero was over 100 % and there was no price drop yet - I was so happy that I listened that poster who said it would have to be over 250 before price drop.

Mate, you are preaching to the fookin' choir.I sold Bent for Torres with the second wildcard in wk 2 even though I knew Torres was still sh1t,simply because I kept seeing him in every fookin' RMT over here and I didn't want to be the only one here who didn't have him.

Last year,I wanted to get VdV for the NL derby at the Emirates because they are always high-scoring games, but someone over here made me change my mind. 🙁 Ditto with Berbatov in GW 24.I was dead set on getting him for the whole week but at the last moment, someone said that buying Rooney instead was an "inspired" idea. Then I wildcarded in wk 25 and changed Rooney to Berba 🙂 (if you remember what happened). It's like a circus. Can't believe the amount of damage this site has done.

Nevertheless,I love reading all the banter over here and this site is probably the soul of the whole fantasy football experience,so not making too many complaints in that respect.

Don't be afraid to be different from the majority. The consensus on this site isn't always right, but it isn't always wrong either. Although most followers of this site usually do better than most casuals (but not as well as usual so far this season), there are other managers out there who have been more successful than most of us so far, either by luck or by skill.

In order to beat the others who use this site as well as the outsiders, you need to do something slightly different from the rest. Follow the information and advice from this site when you consider it to be good, but don't be afraid to back your own ideas when you think they are better.

Admittedly, I didn't watch the Wales game on Friday, but despite Aaron Ramsey's goalscoring form, he has been very poor lately. He gives the ball away an awful lot and doesn't seem to have the same urgency as Wilshere when not in possesion.

Of all his starts this season, only the first 45 minutes against Blackburn have suggested that the Shawcross tackle hasn't sent him the same way as Eduardo.

I don't think he will automatically be on the bench whenever Wilshire is available, but certain fewer starts and less game time, and probably a slightly less attacking role.

      Interesting stat

Arsenal have already used more players in the opening 12 games of this season (32) than in the whole of the last campaign (31).

      Hello All

I'm hoping for some help here. I'm doing OK at the moment but I have 2 free transfers this week and I also have my WC available.

So if you were me, what changes would you make?

      Given (Ruddy)

Richards - Enrique - R Taylor (Woodgate, Senderos)

      Taarabt - Silva - A.Young - Ramsey (Moses)

      Best - Aguero - Rooney.

I know Woodgate and Senderos probably need replacing but they're only on the bench at the moment...

Thanks in advance for any advice

Seeing as no-one else was prepared to offer advice...

I think Ashley Young to Nani could be one to consider. I think Nani offers more goalthreat.

Young is carrying an injury as well.

Either that or bring in someone like Mata or VDV. Utd's upcoming fixtures are quite tricky.

The other one to look at is Taarabt. I got rid. He has a bad attitude and QPR are not producing any goals.

      A. VDV - Sinclair - Silva - Ramsey - Ramirez

B.. Nani + Bannan better than Ramsey + Ramirez

You have one more captain choice, Nani, in your team and one cheapie for bench.
Also, you don't need Ramirez as you already have Sturridge for Chelsea attacking.

I brought in Ramsey before he rises, QPR just aren't scoring and Taarabts attitude is terrible...plus he then gets taken off in the game.
Kind of regretting it now though, as Brunt is injured and RVP means a 4 point hit!
Though i will most probably captain RVP when i bring him in...

I've already done the Ramsey trade (stupidly) but i'll have to ship Aguero out as the only fit cover i have on my bench is Simpson!!

The defence rotate well, with NEW and Sun rotating and Stoke & QPR rotating, I will be playing BAE most weeks. I dont have the value I want so i need to sacrifice somewhere.

I was unsure on that also Starkey. Just can't see Warnock giving much time to a player who leaves the ground at half-time, has a bad attitude and claims to want to leave purely because of money....!

Yet somehow i think Warnock's one of the few managers who will tolerate such behaviour.

He seems to be very lenient with people like Barton / Taraabt, i'v had Taraabt since the start of the season and he has been incredibly unlucky not to score so far, im sure he's hit the woodwork more than any other player.

However if i was to transfer Taraabt out i would bring Ramsey in.

This would save me a fall on Taraabt (6.4 -> 6.3) and allow me to capitalize on Ramsey's increase. I wouldnt keep Taraabt for his next fixtures either so im essentially losing 0.2m to keep Taraabt for this week.

        2 points for playing
        5 for his penalty

I think its good. I got Ramsey in last week and he got me a surprise 7 pts, and by all accounts didn't play that well. Imagine what he can get when he does play well.

Taarabt is just one of the FPL potentials like Mosellirov that is never really going to happen. sure he takes penalties, but the lesser teams rarely get them anyway. Also he is now competing with Faurlin, barton and SWP for bonus pts and is he rather than Barton or SWP going to be getting assists or goals.

I think that if a player hasn't delivered by GWK 7 then the probability is that they are not going to. Ramsey is much better than Taarabt, in a better team, with better fixtures and playing forward.

        In a word

I've had Taarabt since week 1, and yes you are right that 7 weeks is enough to wait for him to perform. QPR just aren't getting enough goals either. Taarabt hasn't scored or assisted once...

But he's hit the post so much!!!

So tempted to bring Ramsey in but i already have Arteta and will more than likely be transfering Aguero -> RVP. Tripple Arsenal will either make or break me!

correct me if I'm wrong but the post is no in the goal. As I said about Moses the other day, perhaps the post is as close as Taarabt will ever get to scoring?

Ok guys need a bit of help. Have 2 freebies and don't really know who to change! Want to get Baines out and upgrade Moses, but think I should probably let him have 1 more game against Bolton who look pretty dreadful at the moment. Also, if I use one freebie this week will I still have 2 next week?

      Team is

      Ruddy/Vorm

      R.Tayler/Bosingwa/Enrique/Baines/Simpson

      Mata/Arteta/Silva/Moses/Anderson

      Sturridge/RVP/Adebayor

      0.1 mil in the bank.

Neither....get the Rutles first album instead...its the template for both their dwindling careers.

but if I had a champagne supernova held to my head and had to choose one it'd be Noel, the talented one.

How did you go wrong Jonty? Did you click reply to the orginal post - I'm not clear on how replies sometimes go astray.

I don't know. I thought I pressed reply. But it may be that I pressed 'post comment' instead. That would seem the likely reason.

Its taking a bit to get used to but I like the new comment box overall. The ability to hide replies is really going to come into its own on a Friday before the gwk deadline and the Aug RMT season. Should make following conversations you want to follow much easier. Well that's the hope anyway.

the rutles were a fake Beatles band formed by Neil Innes for a film and the Rutland Weekend Television show, which is very funny and features Monty Python's Eric Idle. The thing is though that Innes was such a good song writer that his beatles-esque songs were often as good as the beatles themselves. the gallagher's were well known fans and were famously sued by Innes for essentially stealing his tune for Whatever. Hence the rutles reference.

          Here's a bit more about it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whatever_%28Oasis_song%29

And a link to the rutles themselves
