With the European qualifying now all but put to bed, the limelight can shine back on the domestic front and that means we’ve another opportunity to take on our friends at Paddy Power over some Fantasy fuelled markets in the “Fantasy Flutter”…

Derived from the Scout Picks, this week’s markets sport the familiar faces of David Silva, Jose Bosingwa and Victor Moses, accompanied by the much discussed “Robin Van Persie option”. Read on to find how our £10 stakes splits between them, and how much we risk on this weeks long-shot “Sleeper Special”.

Although absent from Man City’s score sheet for the last few weeks, no one could deny David Silva has been at the heart of all that is good about City this year, and will be hungry for more goals after his brace against the Scots. Silva’s creative play has earned him respect with neutrals and Fantasy managers alike, topping the midfield rankings thus far this season. Paddy post good odds on him to score at 6/4 and doubled up with an assist at 7/1, but the real value lies with an assist and not to be booked at 15/8. Making five assists in his last four and featuring only for goals in the ref’s book, this might well be the pick of the week, and easily justifies £4.

If you care to dip into the stats, a couple of Fantasy points near every week since the start of the season fails to rain glory down on Wigan’s Victor Moses. He’s got goals in him though, as he once proved at Crystal Palace, but neither he or Roberto Martinez’s side have found gear so far this campaign. If Wigan take anything away from visiting Bolton, Moses will surely play his role, making Paddy’s odds of 5/2 to score anytime worth a quid.

Jose Bosingwa will be fresh faced when Everton visit the Bridge on Saturday and Paddy have drawn up a true defenders market for Jose, not to be booked and to keep a clean-sheet at evens. Although perhaps not the wildest potential returns, Everton’s attacking threat is dulled by injury doubts hanging over Tim Cahill and Leon Osman – a restrained £2 on Bosingwa seems ample for a bit of interest then.

Robin Van Persie seems to epitomise Arsenal this season. His quality outings have earned him a goal threat level only second to that of Wayne Rooney, yet he has only managed to find the net in two of the seven games he’s taken part in. Arsenal seem to be making the incisive runs and tidy passing they’ve always done, but still languish down in fifteenth, only a point above their weekend opponents, Sunderland. With a makeshift defence lining up for the Black Cats, Arsenal will run the channels and present Van Persie plenty of opportunity. If a goal bonanza is on the cards, RVP to score in each half at 13/2 for £2 could be a risk worth taking.

Our accumulator this week is admittedly a long shot, but has all the makings of a pound well spent. Victor Moses, Adel Taarabt and Peter Odemwingie have all shone within their teams, but not quite enough to be big earners in the Fantasy terms. Paddy are offering a big 28/1 for the sleeping trio to wake up and all make their mark with goals; this claims our final £1 stake this week.

Money Back Specials!

In what Paddy describes as an Epic Money Back Special, if Luis Suarez scores against United in Saturday’s early kick-off, Paddy will refund all losing 1st /last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

They’re also offering similar specials on the matches between City and Villa, Chelsea and Everton and Newcastle and Spurs.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

b)Save transfer and Kompany/Bosingwa to 5 and below defender next week

findin it impossible to even consider downgradin kompany/bosingwa.. they offer such brilliant value.. and i bought adebayor at 8 so will be difficult to get him back

    Vorm (Krul)
    Bosingwa Kompany Enrique (Simpson, Briggs)
    N.Dyer Ramsey Nani Silva (Brunt-doubt)
    Drogba(gametime?) RVP(c) Adebayor

Anyone in that team that would be worth trading out for a 4 point hit?

I about 100 points behind in my mini league. My defence is awfull. I was considering Ade and De Laet -> Sturridge and Kompany for a hit. But I'm not the biggest fan of taking hits for defenders. Best case I'm even after the round. Adebayor is also someone I probably want back later, and i got him in at 8.0. So selling him might be stupid, but I might need to gamble?

    Team atm:

    Vorm, Ruddy
Bosingwa, Enrique, Brown, De Laet, Ward
    Mata, Silva, Ramsey, Brunt, Dyer
    Rooney, RVP, Ade.

    0.5 in the bank.

If I keep cool and don't do Ade -> Sturridge then I cant afford Kompany. Thinking one of my cheap defenders for Woodgate.

Any tips? Sorry for the long post.

And sure, every game is different, but you can't ignore patterns, either. Nothing short of bad officiating in Liverpools favor (again) will get them 3 points. They'll be lucky to score.

anyone thinking about putting Taarabt as captain, i know he hasn’t done much so far and he was subbed at half time in the last game but he scored for his country last week, might have some confidence back, home to a poor Blackburn team who r leaking allot of goals and traveled to the other side of the world during the break to play a friendly match, and Taarabt on pens and frees

Don't do it. Don't see QPR running amok.

On a WC and holding tryouts for my last two defensive decisions. Could use some wisdom:

    1. leaning toward dropping Kompany for Stoke DF so I can make my keepers stronger than Vorm/Ruddy

    2. If option 1 gets the green light, then i'm leaning toward Shawcross over Woodgate (for .6m more) under the assumption that the attacking returns of shawX are worth the extra cash.

    Green light?

ok. I suppose red light it is. Its just that Kompany has no attacking threat, and seems to have decreased chances of bonus with all of the scoring that other MC players do.

        Thanks for the feedback.

I have a couple of decisions to make this week:

    1. Simpson (NEW) or Ward (WOL)?

    2. Which two out of Best (NEW) Dyer (SWA) Young (MU)?

      1. Tough. West Brom may be slighly less potent than Spurs, so I'd ultimately pull the trigger on Ward.

      2. Best & Young

any advice on my wc team?

    bego (vorm)
    kompany, bosingwa, ekotto (enrique, hutton)
nasri, petrov, wright phillips, young (dyer)
    rooney, sturridge, dzeko

if i downgrade enrique to simpson, i could do dzeko > suarez next week

don't get wright phillips. yes he has an easy game this week but you will be wasting your transfer next week to get him out because his fixtures get really bad after this gw. probably look to get ramsey in instead of him however walters or murphy are worth a look imo.

also think you should look to lose one of kompany, bosingwa or enrique in order to try to add another heavy hitter in mid or up front
