Sunday’s edition of the Dugout Discussion rolls into action just before the first game of the day kicks-off. The non-televised Midlands derby between West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers serves as our starter before the three-course football feast goes to Emirates for Arsenal versus Sunderland, and then finally to St. James’ Park as Newcastle United host Tottenham Hotspur.

The team news for the day’s opener is in, and here are the line-ups…

West Brom XI: Foster, Reid, Olsson, McAuley, Jones, Brunt, Mulumbu, Scharner, Thomas, Long, Tchoyi.

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Stearman, Berra, Johnson, Ward, Jarvis, Milijas, O’Hara, Henry, Hammill, Doyle.

Our predicted line-ups haven’t faired too well here it has to be said, with the home side naming only naming Nicky Shorey, James Morrision, Graham Dorrans and Peter Odemwingie on the substitutes bench.

Fewer surprises in the visitors line-up, with only David Edwards and Stephen Hunt not playing as predicted, with Nenad Milijas and Adam Hamill slotting into midfield.

So join me in the Dugout Discussion, where you’ll find me slowly rocking in the corner, praying that I can improve my miserable total of 11 points. I have just three players yet to play.

    Arsenal pretty unconvincing, thought Arteta was poor and he really needs to get rid of Rosicky. Gawd bless Mr Van Persie though, delightful chap (for FPL anyway). Gutted that chip thing didn't go in, it was a truly class effort.
    Bit cheesed off that Adebayor starts, hopefully he wont do anything. Hoping for a clean sheet and for Cabaye to get off the mark.

      Thought rosicky did ok today tbh. Arsenal lack quality in midfield though, wouldnt fancy any of the 5 behind RVP to be able to deliver a quality final ball more than 10% of the time.

        Very true, the fact that he is a LB/LM but they play R Taylor and bought Santon, with Gutierrez etc, he probably get 1 game in the league this year.

      Sort of, under 10% is pretty nice. Main thing for me is I'm pretty sure none of my rivals have him so its a wonderful (c) to have considering Rooney, Aguero, Silva etc and the rest didn't do owt.

      When its on the left of the goal (looking on goal) it favours a right footer, Arteta. But on the right is where RVP did his magic.

    I think I'm actually falling in love with Van Persie (taking off pitch issues out of the equation). A god in fpl and I have so much respect for what he's doing in a team that are really struggling.

        Yes the most annoying thing is van persie stands in space... he won't just run into 'areas' He'll stand in wide open space on the edge of the box with his arm in the air.

        Then his team mates will pass it to the AREAS THAT HE ISN'T IN BUT IS FULL OF DEFENDERS!

      The referee is the one who has lodged the match report to FA apparently. So I dont think the ref also heard wrong.

    could someone tell me the name of this channel - currently Andy townsend and alan curbishly are the pundits. They dont have adverts and they use a loop of an instrumental bit of shoot the runner by kasabian for a team facts and info bit they do. It's often the channel used for online streams

    GW 3 : Suarez 2 points (with Rooney as VC just to add insult to injury)
    GW 4 : Dzeko 0 points (Rooney VC saved me 17 points)

    GW 6 : Mata 3 points
    GW 7 : Rooney 5 points
    GW 8 : Silva 1 point

    From now on I will post who my captain choice for the coming gameweek on Friday nights here so all of you can avoid that player and make selection that little bit easier 😀
