Sunday’s edition of the Dugout Discussion rolls into action just before the first game of the day kicks-off. The non-televised Midlands derby between West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers serves as our starter before the three-course football feast goes to Emirates for Arsenal versus Sunderland, and then finally to St. James’ Park as Newcastle United host Tottenham Hotspur.

The team news for the day’s opener is in, and here are the line-ups…

West Brom XI: Foster, Reid, Olsson, McAuley, Jones, Brunt, Mulumbu, Scharner, Thomas, Long, Tchoyi.

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Stearman, Berra, Johnson, Ward, Jarvis, Milijas, O’Hara, Henry, Hammill, Doyle.

Our predicted line-ups haven’t faired too well here it has to be said, with the home side naming only naming Nicky Shorey, James Morrision, Graham Dorrans and Peter Odemwingie on the substitutes bench.

Fewer surprises in the visitors line-up, with only David Edwards and Stephen Hunt not playing as predicted, with Nenad Milijas and Adam Hamill slotting into midfield.

So join me in the Dugout Discussion, where you’ll find me slowly rocking in the corner, praying that I can improve my miserable total of 11 points. I have just three players yet to play.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

from the arsenal match report on their website:
Aaron Ramsey had suffered a muscular injury playing for Wales in midweek so Tomas Rosicky returned to central midfield.

I don't know where this VDV was a doubt for this GW came from anyway.

The only doubt was a report on the Sky Sports website where they said [something like]: "Adebayor is currently nursing a troublesome hamstring while Van Der Vaart has been beset with similar injuries in his time at Spurs"

Basically, I think people read an extra line in-between - They were saying VDV has dodgy hamstrings but nothing actually said that he currently has a problem.

But yes, he played a lot.

Italian football has been in decline for a while - look at the ageing National team after they won the world cup in 2006 and their performance in 2010.

Look at the Milan clubs - 13th and 17th....

I do like the look of Napoli though with a front 3 of Hamsik, Cavani & Lavezzi. Great pace and fun on FIFA.

What's the consensus on Jonathan Walters? He's popped up with a few goals this season, has played every minute so far, and Stoke's upcoming fixtures are fairly kind.

Crouch is nailed on to start up top, but when Jones returns could he be in line to take Walters' place?

also with assists worth 3 points and goals worth as much as 8 points under this bonus system i think mata and silva turn out to be players you're scared of selling but whose brilliance is trumped by VDV's johnny on the spot efficiency
