Sunday’s edition of the Dugout Discussion rolls into action just before the first game of the day kicks-off. The non-televised Midlands derby between West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers serves as our starter before the three-course football feast goes to Emirates for Arsenal versus Sunderland, and then finally to St. James’ Park as Newcastle United host Tottenham Hotspur.

The team news for the day’s opener is in, and here are the line-ups…

West Brom XI: Foster, Reid, Olsson, McAuley, Jones, Brunt, Mulumbu, Scharner, Thomas, Long, Tchoyi.

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Stearman, Berra, Johnson, Ward, Jarvis, Milijas, O’Hara, Henry, Hammill, Doyle.

Our predicted line-ups haven’t faired too well here it has to be said, with the home side naming only naming Nicky Shorey, James Morrision, Graham Dorrans and Peter Odemwingie on the substitutes bench.

Fewer surprises in the visitors line-up, with only David Edwards and Stephen Hunt not playing as predicted, with Nenad Milijas and Adam Hamill slotting into midfield.

So join me in the Dugout Discussion, where you’ll find me slowly rocking in the corner, praying that I can improve my miserable total of 11 points. I have just three players yet to play.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

My players helping eachother out nicely there, S Taylor conceding the pen so Adebayor can get a cheap assist. Keep it up guys

FIrst time I've seen Newcastle this year - and I'd have to agree with that.
Fairly even first half, but Newcastle had more of it and the pen was a bit out of nothing.

King going off should give you more hope in the second as he and Kaboul marshalled Ba and Best quite well. I expect Bassong to offer more chances.

One thing that did impress me was the organisation. Tiote and to a lesser extent Cabaye, make the defence look very good (pen apart). Many of the challenges are solid and even if they don't get the ball, they obstruct the one-two and Spurs have found it difficult to gain momentum.

I'd expect to see Defoe in the second half to liven things up - especially if Newcastle get their goal.

If Ramsey was only dropped due to his injury and he's not a rotation threat until Wilshere is back, then I'm considering Taarabt > Ramsey.

I can't get on to Total fpl. Is Silva due to rise before the next deadline? Have a transfer plan which means VDV in this week and hopefully Silva in the following week,

Or should I just get Nasri in and not chace the risers.. Silva just tears it up every week I think I need him.

2 frees this week -> I'm doing Moses and Ohara -> Reo Coker(bench fodder) and VDV
This leaves me the exact amount to do Walcott -> Silva the following GW

Might have to take a risk with early transfers.

What do you expect from a 4.0 defender?

We've kept 1 more than we did for the whole of last season, if you watched us today we defended brilliantly in our own box, Foster was commanding and we dealt with their crosses/corners very well.

With away games at Villa and Arsenal and home ones against Spurs and Liverpool in the next 5, I don't fancy his chances.

Fair enough, fixtures aren't on his side. We've improved hugely at the back though, Foster is coming into form now too, when fixtures pick up will be a bargain.

    Vorm Given
    Kompany Simpson Wilkinson Figueroa DeLaet
    Dyer Arteta Moses Silva Mata
    RvP Suarez Gervinho
    bank 2.1

    Should I Wildcard?
Or should I go Gervinho -> Adeb, Arteta -> Nani 4 point hit?
Or should I get rid of Figueroa/Laet/Moses ?
    Opinions please

    Eagels or Moses ....

both have good fixtures, but Wigan are terrible for the moment and Bolton made a good game...

    Thanks!

Anyone who is watching the game, could you tell me does Simpson look likely to score?

PS It seems that this kind of stuff works, so i'll try too.

He was in the box once in 55 minutes. I think it's unlikely.
