Sunday’s edition of the Dugout Discussion rolls into action just before the first game of the day kicks-off. The non-televised Midlands derby between West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers serves as our starter before the three-course football feast goes to Emirates for Arsenal versus Sunderland, and then finally to St. James’ Park as Newcastle United host Tottenham Hotspur.

The team news for the day’s opener is in, and here are the line-ups…

West Brom XI: Foster, Reid, Olsson, McAuley, Jones, Brunt, Mulumbu, Scharner, Thomas, Long, Tchoyi.

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Stearman, Berra, Johnson, Ward, Jarvis, Milijas, O’Hara, Henry, Hammill, Doyle.

Our predicted line-ups haven’t faired too well here it has to be said, with the home side naming only naming Nicky Shorey, James Morrision, Graham Dorrans and Peter Odemwingie on the substitutes bench.

Fewer surprises in the visitors line-up, with only David Edwards and Stephen Hunt not playing as predicted, with Nenad Milijas and Adam Hamill slotting into midfield.

So join me in the Dugout Discussion, where you’ll find me slowly rocking in the corner, praying that I can improve my miserable total of 11 points. I have just three players yet to play.

    Not having a bad week compared to others but the Odemwingie issue is troubling me. Have kept faith in him but every week is a bit of a torture.

    At the same time I am afraid that If I let him go, the usual thing will happen. He will score points week after week and he will haunt me. Have seen it many many times before with players I drop.

    Anyway, hoping my team wins today against Newcastle (always a very difficult away game for my team) with Kaboul and Bale having a very good game.

      I'm a RVP(C) owner, but can see a 1-0 win for Arsenal. Can't see a lot of goals unfortunately now I think about it.

      18 with 5 to play, so I need him to get at least a goal/assist and 2-3 BPs.

    Looking at the BP predictions on Totalfpl, chemkill has Sturudge down for 3...

    watched the game, he didn't get up to much and was booked. Anyone else think Mata is up for the 3? An assist, set up 1st goal, back defending... general menace...

        I didn't rate Sturridge at all yesterday, falling around the place, reluctant to play though balls. He's a poacher not a playmaker.

          He played ALRIGHT...but didnt get very involved, he was good in his limited touches, and Baines is no pushover

            True, but he didn't seem to realise there's more to the pitch than the right wing. I don't think he looked up once to see what was going on to his left, if he ran into a defender he just passed it back, nearly everytime IRC.

      Mata has slim to none chances of bonus points. Bonus points are not based on general performance Folsom, but on a set of stats that will favour the goal scorers over him.

    I know I'll be sounding like a miserable bastard here, but kind of good Ramsay is out, now all the knee jerkers will transfer him out and I'll be able to pick up him during the week for a lower price.

    My mate who was top of one of my mini leagues, currently sits on 8, with Ramsey and Friedel to go... No Ramsey means Dyer (2) comes off the bench.

    So he's on 10 + Friedel + any BPs (unlikely).

    It's a funny old game!

    Have to say this site is fantastic on gameweeks like this when everyone (apart from the odd smug one) is having a diabolical week. It's hilarious, everyone (including me) moaning away and then you get someone being unbearably happy because they have a player who actually did something - they then get savaged by the rest of us miserable gits and the cycle resumes.
    If RVP goes mental today the site is going to be split right down the middle, those who have him being unbearable those who dont suicidal. Looking forward to it!

    Unless of course he does nowt, then its back to pissing and moaning.

      I'm a non FPL RVP owner who will win a £10 if he scores two or more goals and have him as captain in Metro...so happy with most permutations today.
