Sunday’s edition of the Dugout Discussion rolls into action just before the first game of the day kicks-off. The non-televised Midlands derby between West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers serves as our starter before the three-course football feast goes to Emirates for Arsenal versus Sunderland, and then finally to St. James’ Park as Newcastle United host Tottenham Hotspur.

The team news for the day’s opener is in, and here are the line-ups…

West Brom XI: Foster, Reid, Olsson, McAuley, Jones, Brunt, Mulumbu, Scharner, Thomas, Long, Tchoyi.

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Stearman, Berra, Johnson, Ward, Jarvis, Milijas, O’Hara, Henry, Hammill, Doyle.

Our predicted line-ups haven’t faired too well here it has to be said, with the home side naming only naming Nicky Shorey, James Morrision, Graham Dorrans and Peter Odemwingie on the substitutes bench.

Fewer surprises in the visitors line-up, with only David Edwards and Stephen Hunt not playing as predicted, with Nenad Milijas and Adam Hamill slotting into midfield.

So join me in the Dugout Discussion, where you’ll find me slowly rocking in the corner, praying that I can improve my miserable total of 11 points. I have just three players yet to play.

Lol, before this gameweek I wanted to bring in a cheap defender and was basically choosing between Woodgate, Shorey, and Figeroa. Went for Woodgate. Turned out to be quite a waste of time 🙂
Yeah, and I knee jerked yesterday and brought in Ramsey for SWP to catch a price rise, guess i made an impact already today, lol 🙂

No where near GW11 last year where I had 25 and 24 on bench. This year's number is higher with the real manager's doing it. By the by, ended up ranked 4,511 for the year, for those thinking it's over for the year.

Hmm, after dumping Aguero for Sturridge I have enough to turn Ramsey into Gerrard. And Liverpool's next 3 fixtures look very good.

    Begovic - Vorm
Bosingwa, Kompany, Simpson, (Da Leat, Gabbidon)
    Walcott, Ohara, Sinclair, Brunt (Moses)
    Rooney, RVP, Sturridge

Opinions please, I have saved 2 tranfers this week. 4.8 in bank. i think City attacking coverage is essential after next GW. I also want VDV

Seems bit crazy after his goal today but I might play the fixtures and take Brunt out.

    A) ThisGW Brunt OR OHara -> VDV and Da Leat->Santon (if he starts this week and I will bench Kompany against Utd) this leaves me an agonising 0.2 short NextGW for Walcott -> VDV (So I'm thinking I may just bring in a 4.1 defender from Norwich or Swansea instead of Santon)

    B) ThisGW Moses -> VDV and Kompany->4.6 and NextGW Walcott > Silva

    C) ThisGW Moses -> VDV and Begovic->Ruddy and NextGW Walcott > Nasri

    D) ThisGW Brunt -> VDV and Begovic->Krul and NextGW Walcott > Silva

    E) Other

I know it's early and I will wait untill the last possible moment to do the tranfers depending on price changes.

    Thanks

Well Santon and VDV still to play this week, so wait till after that.

Need a big-hitter in that mid, O'Hara is pants - Wolves, relegation candidate and he plays fairly deep with the odd 25yd goal. No point getting rid of Kompany as you'd want him for Wolves - H afterwards.

Norwich - no, 0 clean sheets so far, and at Anfield next.

Yeah OHara is playing deep but he is capable of a good score and he has got better fixtures than Brunt.

So you think Ohara -> VDV and maybe Da Leat -> Taylor from Swansea (is there a better option as that price bracket?)

which leaves me enough in the bank to do Walcott -> Nasri next GW
