Sunday’s edition of the Dugout Discussion rolls into action just before the first game of the day kicks-off. The non-televised Midlands derby between West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers serves as our starter before the three-course football feast goes to Emirates for Arsenal versus Sunderland, and then finally to St. James’ Park as Newcastle United host Tottenham Hotspur.

The team news for the day’s opener is in, and here are the line-ups…

West Brom XI: Foster, Reid, Olsson, McAuley, Jones, Brunt, Mulumbu, Scharner, Thomas, Long, Tchoyi.

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Stearman, Berra, Johnson, Ward, Jarvis, Milijas, O’Hara, Henry, Hammill, Doyle.

Our predicted line-ups haven’t faired too well here it has to be said, with the home side naming only naming Nicky Shorey, James Morrision, Graham Dorrans and Peter Odemwingie on the substitutes bench.

Fewer surprises in the visitors line-up, with only David Edwards and Stephen Hunt not playing as predicted, with Nenad Milijas and Adam Hamill slotting into midfield.

So join me in the Dugout Discussion, where you’ll find me slowly rocking in the corner, praying that I can improve my miserable total of 11 points. I have just three players yet to play.

    brunt>petrov seems like a massive fail. same like all my midfields that only got 1 point each. glad that rvp is looking good atm. as for i am the only one who has rvp(c). GO RVP!

    apologies if this has already been said but if anything highlights the flaw in the current bonus system it's RVP getting penalised for that turn and chip.

        well, thats the problem of a stats based system, rather than a subjective one i.e. a judge.

        either either/or, but what it lacks in judgement it makes up for in objectivity/consistency.

        But I think I prefer the old system.

          Base it on stats, sure, but don't punish shots off target. There's no need.

          Alternatively, scrap the bonus system. It's nothing but trouble.

        i'd like to know if all shots off target get the same punishment. if hitting the post and corner flag are the same offence that's a shame

    Opinions please, I have saved 2 tranfers this week. 4.8 in bank. i think City attacking coverage is essential after next GW. I also want VDV

    Seems bit crazy after his goal today but I might play the fixtures and take Brunt out.

    A) ThisGW Brunt OR OHara -> VDV and Da Leat->Santon (if he starts this week and I will bench Kompany against Utd) this leaves me an agonising 0.2 short NextGW for Walcott -> VDV (So I’m thinking I may just bring in a 4.1 defender from Norwich or Swansea instead of Santon)

    B) ThisGW Moses -> VDV and Kompany->4.6 and NextGW Walcott > Silva

    C) ThisGW Moses -> VDV and Begovic->Ruddy and NextGW Walcott > Nasri

    D) ThisGW Brunt -> VDV and Begovic->Krul and NextGW Walcott > Silva

    E) Other

    I know it’s early and I will wait untill the last possible moment to do the tranfers depending on price changes.
