Sunday’s edition of the Dugout Discussion rolls into action just before the first game of the day kicks-off. The non-televised Midlands derby between West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers serves as our starter before the three-course football feast goes to Emirates for Arsenal versus Sunderland, and then finally to St. James’ Park as Newcastle United host Tottenham Hotspur.

The team news for the day’s opener is in, and here are the line-ups…

West Brom XI: Foster, Reid, Olsson, McAuley, Jones, Brunt, Mulumbu, Scharner, Thomas, Long, Tchoyi.

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Stearman, Berra, Johnson, Ward, Jarvis, Milijas, O’Hara, Henry, Hammill, Doyle.

Our predicted line-ups haven’t faired too well here it has to be said, with the home side naming only naming Nicky Shorey, James Morrision, Graham Dorrans and Peter Odemwingie on the substitutes bench.

Fewer surprises in the visitors line-up, with only David Edwards and Stephen Hunt not playing as predicted, with Nenad Milijas and Adam Hamill slotting into midfield.

So join me in the Dugout Discussion, where you’ll find me slowly rocking in the corner, praying that I can improve my miserable total of 11 points. I have just three players yet to play.

if a corner taker delivers 10 corners only to be cleared by the defence, its like losing the ball 10 times.

If the 11th is an assist (or even a goal) surely it makes up for it?

Bonus are points a nice little boost, particularly on top of a goal or two, but they are exactly that - a bonus. I wouldn't change your whole strategy around getting bonus points, especially since it's so difficult to predict!

I get your point since most of the passes are not successful and many shots off target, but the amount of assists and goals scored from these make up for the 1 or 2 missing bps per season.

The top English (Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal) defences all look so vulnerable, doesn't bode well for their Champions League hopes.

Of course Newcastle have a great defence. Best in the Premier League at the moment. Did I mention that?

I think Jack Colback has every chance to be a good Premier League player.

I also think Walcott needs to take some bloody responsibility and get more involved, he's just trotting around down his flank waiting for the others to sort it out.

      Agree, Colback looks sharp.

Having seen just a few snippets of Oxalde-Chamberlain, I think he's already as good as Walcott. Much more cutting edge and drive and Walcott just drifts through games. I hope from an England perspective that AOC will develop into twice the player Walcott is.
