[sbu_large_image] Dugout Discussion

Morning has been and gone and the minds eye of Fantasy Managers quickly changes from “What do I do?” to “How have I done?” as the Dugout Discussion settles in for a full day of footballing action…

Saturday and Sunday’s fixtures split evenly with 5-a-piece so we should have precisely half of the excitement in store. A closer looks makes it seem like our upcoming schedule got the hard end of the bargain as most of the “glamour ties” are saved for tomorrow. Nonetheless, today’s action kicks off with Wolves playing host to Swansea.

Once we ride out the Midlanders (five defeats in a row) versus the Welsh (four defeats in four away games with 12 goals conceded) we’ll take in a trio of three o’clock fixtures as Aston Villa, Bolton and Newcastle play host to West Brom, Sunderland and Wigan respectively.

Liverpool get the spotlight and sunset of the day as they welcome Paul Lambert’s Norwich to Anfield. All eyes will be on a certain Luis Suarez – more than a few captain’s armbands will be reliant on this “enigmatic”Uruguayan. If you fancy an added game, why not play “spot the Scout” as myself and Big Dunc take in the occasion in person. He’ll be the guy in the Liverpool stand trying not to cheer if Norwich take the lead.

The Dugout Discussion, as per usual, will keep chugging along through every kick of the ball.

Gents, here is my current team, i have 2 frees, thinking about what transfers for later this week.

    Given / Ruddy
    Enrique / Kompany / Simpson / Brown / Woodgate
    Silva / Mata / MPetrov / Dyer / Arteta
    Aguero / Adebayor / Suarez

So Brown and Arteta seem the clear choices for the chop and there is no ManU in there. 1.4 in the bank.

What do you think are the best ways of working some ManU players in?

    thanks

Soo, Adebayor captain this week, setting up my team next week now, Adebayor another strong choice, as is Silva.
Mata up against a poor Arsenal, Suarez against a decent WBA.
Not as many good options as this week, but still some good ones nonetheless

How has Ferguson worked out for people, .... of course few posters here may have him.

Last year for my bench, I chose the cheapest two def who played consistently and a decent mid- ---- Ferguson of BIR for most of the year, until I got some cash and improved. I was delighted to WC and get a 3.9 Defender who played (maybe Foley) on the bench.

meireles was at pool when your rival got him

it means your rival is not playing and if he is when he goes to make a transfer he will be asked to lose a chelsea player 1st

Haven't clicked the links but I'm assuming he got Meireles before he transferred to us and hasn't made any subs yet.

We will have a hard game there for sure, but I think we'll win 4-0. I just hope our defence stays focused for the whole 90. Sturridge, Drogba and Lampard scorers.

Got super Franky as captain, he put in a great shift Wednesday. I think ye will win it easy too. I thought Chelsea pressed very high on Genk, you think they will do similar to QPR?

Don't know a thing about Fleetwood Town so I can't endorse that pick. If you are looking to boost the odds I think Oxford have a good chance of beating Gillingham...

Team this week? What do you reckon? I think I may have made a mistake by starting Simpson ahead of Kompany.

    Al-habsi, (Vorm)
    Simpson, Smalling, Enrique, (Kompany), (Drury)
Nani, Mata (V), Silva, Dyer, (Ferguson)
    Hernandez, Suarez (C), Aguero

Nah, Simpson has a better chance of a CS but he might not play. If he doesn't, Kompany will come in.

You confident in Villa? I think Bolton are a better option. Also as I posted above I think Oxford are a good bet today and they are 15/8.
