Morning has been and gone and the minds eye of Fantasy Managers quickly changes from “What do I do?” to “How have I done?” as the Dugout Discussion settles in for a full day of footballing action…

Saturday and Sunday’s fixtures split evenly with 5-a-piece so we should have precisely half of the excitement in store. A closer looks makes it seem like our upcoming schedule got the hard end of the bargain as most of the “glamour ties” are saved for tomorrow. Nonetheless, today’s action kicks off with Wolves playing host to Swansea.

Once we ride out the Midlanders (five defeats in a row) versus the Welsh (four defeats in four away games with 12 goals conceded) we’ll take in a trio of three o’clock fixtures as Aston Villa, Bolton and Newcastle play host to West Brom, Sunderland and Wigan respectively.

Liverpool get the spotlight and sunset of the day as they welcome Paul Lambert’s Norwich to Anfield. All eyes will be on a certain Luis Suarez – more than a few captain’s armbands will be reliant on this “enigmatic”Uruguayan. If you fancy an added game, why not play “spot the Scout” as myself and Big Dunc take in the occasion in person. He’ll be the guy in the Liverpool stand trying not to cheer if Norwich take the lead.

The Dugout Discussion, as per usual, will keep chugging along through every kick of the ball.

    Hmm... Head2head rival has Suarez (c), ive got Suarez but gone with RVP (c).

    Form matters not this season and last season in the FPL scoring stats, Villa beaten, Bolton beaten by a team struggling every game so far this season, I am going with gut from now on, to hell with form! Eagles was a form transfer, I really thought he would do well today.

        They're not, fair enough playing Liverpool, City, Utd, Arsenal & Chelsea so far but apart from QPR opening day have been shocking. Losing at home to Norwich and Sunderland....

        Looking at their team sheet - Petrov off-form, no Klasnic, Wheater in defence?. Lots of new faces - CM of Reo-Coker & Pratley won't scare many teams. There'll take time to gel, but will finish bottom half.

        ie if the target was missed ie Given got no touch then no he doesn't get any points.

        It follows the same premis that goalies don't get save points when players blast the ball off target.

      As I said last night, Norwich have performed with credit at both Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford, two slightly more daunting places to go than Anfield. Liverpool should win but it won't be a cricket score. 1-0 or 2-1 maybe?

    Hmmm, that's 3 cleanies from 9 for Sunderland now. If they keep this up they'll be well into double figures by next May. With their upcoming fixtures (AVL, mun, FUL, WIG) I may just be tempted to bring in Turner. At 4.3m he's as cheap as chips and don't forget he's shown can score them as well!

        I've got Suarez not expecting anything to be quite honest. My luck means Hay Number you don't need to worry! I laugh sometimes at the things that happen in the FPL this season every player I bring in suddenly loses all form and the players I get rid of suddenly become wonderful.
