Arsenal’s win at Sunderland last weekend was not just another odds on victory for the London side, it also marked a number of milestones. Wenger’s misfiring gunners hit the top half of the table for the first time this season, Robin van Persie scored the quickest goal of the season, but, more significantly, when the Dutchman curled in his second-half free-kick, he gave the Fantasy Flutter another win over our betting buddies over at Paddy Power.

After a couple of minor victories on short prices, a return on “to score in both halves” at 13/2 was the mini windfall we’ve been looking for. Did you take up the bet and share our glory?

Not to worry – we’re looking to capitalise on our win last week with another array of markets that include the likes of José Enrique, Clint Dempsey, Martin Petrov and Gabby Agbonlahor. As it’s a big derby weekend, we have forgone the usual accumulator and forged two special bet markets to consider. Read on to find out just what’s on offer in this week’s Fantasy Flutter.

Since his move from the Magpies in the summer transfer window, José Enrique has quickly acclimatised to Liverpool’s style and his attacking instincts have already brought returns via assists and Fantasy Premier League (FPL) bonus points. A favourable home fixture against Norwich will grant Enquire the opportunity to use his pace down the left and feed Luis Suarez and his attacking counterparts. Although Paddy’s price of evens for no booking and a clean-sheet is tempting, a straight up assist at 7/2 walks the tightrope between probability and value enough for £2 of our money.

Fulham’s Clint Dempsey’s has so far failed to fire on all cylinders. He’s still racked up a couple of goals and assists and, having been rested for Thursday’s Europa League tie, he’ll be fresh and ready for the visit of Everton to the Cottage. Paddy have Dempsey to score from a header at 12/1, but the more reserved 13/2 to net from outside the box takes our £1 on this occasion.

Last week’s win at Wigan gave Bolton the lift they needed – off the bottom of the table, they’ll go into their Reebok clash with Sunderland with some much needed confidence. Warhorse strikers Kevin Davies and Ivan Klasnić have both had moments of real quality in front of goal this term, but it’s Martin Petrov that’s been Bolton most consistent Fantasy performer. Petrov’s four assists and single booking looks good for Paddy’s “assist and no booking” market at 3/1, although we’ve gone with the “Petrov assist and Bolton clean-sheet” at 10/1 for our £1.

Another consistent Fantasy earner, Gabby Agbonlahor has cleaned up with bonus points, goals and assists, marking a mockery of his modest initial valuation. The fleet-heeled Villa striker will be up against a confident West Brom defence after their clean sheet in the derby with Wolves last week, but Gabby’s quality is favoured to win through this time around. An assist and a goal at 12/1 looks like massive value, having achieved this market twice already this season, and for a £2 stake we’re willing to ride the risk for the potential bounty.

Head to Head… to Head

This weekend sees three in form strikers vying for your Fantasy captaincy, and Paddy have accommodated this choice with a “Who Will Score the Most Goals” market. Robin van Persie seems the standout choice, having an easier fixture against Europa weary Stoke on Sunday, yet the “Battle of Manchester” could make a hero of Sergio Aguero or Wayne Rooney. We’ll take Rooney at 15/8 for £2 of our money to outscore his two rivals in this market.

Derby Goals

If all that wasn’t enough, you could try out Paddy’s Derby Goals Special to see how many the three fixtures will rack up. The Baggies visit Villa, Chelsea visit QPR and Man City take on the Red Devils at Old Trafford to make up our derby trilogy. Paddy post over and under 7.5 goals as the the bar. For 11/8 we’re going go a conservative £2 on under 7.5 goals across the three matches.

Money Back Specials – Battle of Manchester

Top of the bill for Paddy’s Money Back specials this week – if Wayne Rooney scores in the game with City, Paddy Power will refund all losing 1st /last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

They’re also presenting us with a couple more Premier League offers – if Steven Gerrard scores the last goal in the game with Norwich at Anfield, Paddy will refund all losing 1st/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

Similarly, at Loftus Road, if Daniel Sturridge scores the last goal of the game, Paddy will refund all losing 1st/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

the question is vague. which one out of the latter four? Van der vart obviusly, do you mean your taking one of the first four out for one of the second four?? who is angel, defender or midfielder? also what are budget constraints?

Right ive thought about it and surely Van Persie is ideal captain this week (especially for those who dont have suarez) whilst stoke can be stubborn i dont think they will keep a clean sheet, could be high scoring gamne actually as can see stoke causing probems at the other end. also arsenal will have had an extra days rest. i can see an arsenal penalty in this game so fingers crossed for Van P. Considered stevie g as captain but think its risky enough bringing him in.

Is Gibbs definitely not playing? If there's any chance he is, I'd be putting him in your starting XI even if it means he gets auto-subbed off.

Bannan was benched last week after internationals, so maybe hold off on bringing him in until you know he's a definite starter again.

Depends on whether you're getting them in as season keepers or just chasing the fixtures.

If your team has other issues you need to fix in coming weeks, you don't want to be having you use precious transfers moving guys in and out to suit the current fixtures.

FWIW I have double Spurs coverage but no Liverpool, and don't have any problem with that. Just don't feel like 'Pool are as likely to bang in 5 or 6 against week opposition as either of the Manchester clubs are.

Agree with this, except if your transfer target is in danger of a price rise that'd prevent you getting him.

About to bring in either Adam or VdV.

VdV seems like a no-brainer but i already have Ade for Spurs cover and no Pool player.

    Still leaning towards VDV though.

No need for 2 Spurs players. Adebayor is plenty. Adam may suffer lack of gametime and set pieces now that Gerrard is back.

Only Pool player I have is Enrique and I'm not fussed about getting any of the others. Liverpool aren't as good as lots of people on here seem to think they are. I doubt they're going to put Norwich to the sword like some people are expecting today.

Option 1 - saves you hit points and just as likely to score big.
