A strong run of upcoming fixtures sees Kyle Walker make a significant jump in our recently updated Watchlist rankings.

With clean sheet returns at an absolute minimum of late – a mere five have been recorded right across the board in the previous two Gameweeks – the hunt is on for defenders who can deliver at the attacking end of the field. There’s little doubt that Tottenham’s schedule affords Walker a better chance of returns than the majority of Fantasy defenders on offer right now.

Priced at 5.5 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Walker is not exactly a cut-price option but a goal, assist and 3 bonus points in his last three games highlight his strength going forward. With Harry Redknapp’s side in a rich vein of form, his ability to lend weight to their attacking ploys could be crucial, as Fantasy managers scratch around for points at the back.

Indeed, a look at the FPL points so far show Walker, with 31, is third-top for Spurs, behind only Rafael Van der Vaart and Emmanuel Adebayor and ahead of the likes of Luka Modric (30) and Gareth Bale (26). His points total for the season is just a couple behind both Jose Enrique and Jose Bosingwa, though while the pair have ownership of 27.8% and 26.5% respectively, Walker has remained well under the radar- so far, he’s been selected by a mere 2.5% of FPL managers.

With (QPR, ful, AVL, wba, BOL, sto) to come in the next six, then, the Fantasy potential is obvious – if injuries at the back can clear, Spurs may even surpass our expectations for clean sheets in that spell. Certainly, if they are to maintain the form that has seen them win five out of six games, Walker’s barnstorming right flank runs could prove pivotal as Redknapp’s side look to push on in their quest for a Champions League slot.

What's the latest with any pending double gameweeks? Has Tot vs. Eve from GW1 been resceduled yet? Is there any others that we're waiting on?

4 'easy' games for everton and 4 tough games so far

in the first 4 easier games he got 21pts even though they had a mixed start

with a nice run of fixtures and the return of saha n cahill along with the exit of arteta i expect him to pick up where he left off last season

It's a fair point, yet to be convinced. Cahill has looked awful, and I think of Saha as a handicap not a benefit. Maybe a jaundiced view. I'll keep watching. You can be sure of that. 🙂

    Agonising over some transfers...

Bosingwa to Tierney & then Suarez to RVP (0 points hit)

If I do it now I can just afford it leaving 0.0 in the bank, but would rather wait until RVP's Chelsea game is out the way.

Stuck for ideas this week, really don't want to upset my strikers but could do with losing a chelsea player, at the moment I am playing:

    Vorm (Krul)
    Bosingwa, Jones, Kompany, Enrique (Simpson)
    Mata, Silva, Gerrard (SWP, Ramsey)
    Agbonlahor, Sturridge, Adebayor

    I need a stoke defender
I need to drop a chelsea player
    I want VDV
I need to get rid of SWP
I would prefer to triple up on city players
I dont want to take a hit

              nonen
Dzeko proved he played well vs Wolves, and Mancini see it
Mancini think Dzeko is good enough to knock out Wolves, he'll rest Aguero for Villareal.

Balotelli and Aguero will start for Villareal.

Johnson and Silva should start for Wolves. Johnson played well, Nasri rest for Villareal

                nonen? huh?
Dzeko played good yeah..but it was against Wolves in the Carling Cup, Balo and Aguero proved themselves against United.
Aguero doesnt need a rest, he hasn't played much football lately.
Aguero and Balo will start against Wolves with Dzeko coming on after 60-70 for Aguero..

I'd go Shawcross. Guess it comes down to if you think there's more chance of clean sheet points (with a slight chance of attacking points) from Shawcross, or the reverse from Walker. And having two Spurs players already probably tips it towards Shawcross as well. Great season so far mate...

Couple of observations from last night’s games: Love to hear people’s opinions

    Chelsea:
Sturridge seen as one of the most important front 3 (brought on when needed winner)
‘Squad’ has played 210mins in 4 days (60 of which were with 9men)

    Stoke:
Walters played 90mins (Is he likely to start on Sat?)[Is Sun’s Sess the better option?)
Wilkinson kept fresh for Sat or Huth back in contention?

    Liverpool:
Suarez’s knock came in 1st half (hence he scored both goals AFTER) and limping off on 88mins = time wasting
Times quote: “the evidence to date is that Suarez is a scorer of great goals, rather than a great goalscorer”

    Everton:
Drenthe looked very threatening before sent off
Baines missed pen...opp for someone else?

    Newcastle:
Simpson (70mins) & Santon (120mins) started. Suggesting R.Taylor is more nailed on for Sat.

    Wolves:
    O’Hara scored again....tw*t

Yeah same here. I'm on c) at the moment and will save the extra transfer for next week. If Suarez confirmed injured then a) is pretty much nailed on. If not, I think Suarez -> Roonpig after GW11.

Cheers, I took a hit this week, roonpig > aguero / best > sturridge, thinking long term with sturridge, although had him last year when at Bolton, didn't do anything for me for 3-4 weeks, so got rid and promptly scored 2 goals next game

Yes. It does. Problem is they are the most freely-scoring team in the league at the moment.

I'm on RVP, Suarez and Adebayor. I'd like Aguero but don't think it's worth a) reushuffling to bring him in and b) losing one of those 3.

    Vorm, Ruddy
    Walker, Bosingwa, Wilkinson, Kompany, Simpson
