Find your seats quickly – Saturday’s match action is just minutes away with United putting pride on the line at Goodison in a noon kick-off. With that in mind, our Dugout Discussion chatroom is already open, soaking up your reactions from now, right through to this evening as all the day’s matches unfold…

The “traitor” Wayne Rooney returns to the club he once called home to kick off our bumper package of Premier League football. Teams in full are…

Everton XI: Howard, Hibbert, Baines, Jagielka, Heitinga, Bilyaletdinov, Osman, Coleman, Rodwell, Fellaini, Saha

United XI: De Gea, Jones, Vidic, Evans, Evra, Fletcher, Cleverley, Park, Welbeck, Rooney, Hernandez

While the half-time oranges are being devoured up at Goodison Park another big game kicks off at 12:45 as Chelsea welcome Fernando Torres back to the fold for the visit of Arsenal to Stamford Bridge.

The action then kicks into top gear with another five fixtures scheduled to festoon the three o’clock hours with all sorts of action – closest eyes will inevitably be on how much “rest” and rotation Roberto Mancini affords his City side at home to Wolves ahead of their crucial trip to (recently Guissepe Rossi-less) Villarreal in midweek.

The eighth and final fixture of the day sees the Dugout Discussion screen Roy Hodgson against the side that threw him overboard like flotsam and jetsam – whether Luis Suarez has recovered from his Carling Cup heroics will undoubtedly be keen on many minds.

Well done Evra! Hernandez- being Hernandez. Cleverley's clever passing generated that space for Evra to deliver. 1-0 thank you very much! 🙂

No, we dont call it clever passing on here.
Every will call it 'assisting the assist'

Hernandez is a rotation risk who is incredibly unlikely to assist any goals, Ade is going to be playing every game and as the article on here showed yesterday put in a few key passes.

Ade seems a much better option.

Hernandez assisted a few weeks ago, plus this year assists are half as important as goals in the end...
The fact that Rooney is being deployed in the midfield and Hernandez would give me United cover.

Hernandez doesn't work in the build up play so it's very unlikely that he will assist, not impossible. While Rooney is playing in midfield this game it's questionable whether he will in the easier games, Hernandez is still a rotation risk in my eyes.

Spurs are an attacking outfit and Ade leads the line.

Yeah I know you are right I just feel vulnerable going with no United coverage.
Might find a way to fit in Cleverley if he looks dangerous, but both Drenthe and Ramsey have brilliant fixtures also..hmm.
Coverage is overrated anyway, stuff United 😉

I'm still slightly concerned over my lack of coverage, but when there's no really strong coverage you just have to hope for the best. I was planning on trying to get Nani in but with today I'm not 100%.

As a differential he must be pretty good, so if you're wanting to catch up on points he would be a good choice.

            But to counter this,

Hernandez doesnt work in the build up play, merely scores. Hes never ever too deep when the chances are created meaning he scores more than the average striker of his skill level.

If he starts to get a pretty much first team spot he shall be in my team, especially if my savings on defence allow Sturridge>Hernandez

True his goals per minutes are fairly decent. I still think that Hernandez is weaker (especially at this moment in time) than other options out there and it's mainly him playing for United that makes him appear so attractive.

He might be a good pick over the next 10 weeks, MU's fixtures are excellent and only Evra and Vidic seem to have save places in the United defense... So, maybe he's worth a shot if you can find 7 million for a defender...

And Vermaelen has never played with Mertesacker before, and I think Koscielney has got quite used to playing with Mertesacker.

koscielny and mertsaker oblige arsenal to defend deep, smthn they are not very good at. vermaelen adds a much needed pace to that defence. however against chelsea i reckon its too early but nect week for sure. though i wouldnt be surpised seeing him coming in for djourou at some point today.

Don't think Vermaelen should be rushed in, especially against Chelsea

Super effort by Rodwell say the commentators. I say it was crap - he had 5 minutes to line it up!

Thought Meireles might have got a start over Ramires.
He links up well with the Spanish duo
