It’s hard to believe we’re in to double figures for the season already, but the Gameweek Ten deadline is looming large. With less than an hour to go, the Saturday Surgery swings it’s doors open for another session…

If you’ve long since hit the transfer button and selected your captain, then go pop the kettle on and wait for the points to roll in. However, if you’ve left it late, then you have some work to do. There’s no need to panic though, as we’ve got all the information you need just a click away.

The Team News page should be you’re first port of call, making sure that your squad is available and/or expected to play. That, accompanied with the Injuries and Bans table, should help you identify where you need to make adjustments.

Once you know your duds, it’s time to find some replacements. A combination of the Scout Picks and The Watchlist (right-had side of the home page near the bottom) should help fill those voids.

Lastly, the Captain’s Poll in the centre column of the home page will guide you to make that final decision. Tottenham and Man City players currently lead the way in that department.

The action starts at noon, we wish you the very best.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

I reckon 10.0 is the more likely one, and 9.9 could even be possible.
Will be 10.1 by Monday, then who knows what the knee-jerkers will do!

Nah, no Wilkinson and Taylor. Went for Bego and Vorm though, the rotation is not perfect, but I think there is only one problematic week: it's GW17. In other weeks I'm more or less comfortable to play one of them. I guess, I might switch from Bego to Howard if Stoke struggle and Everton's defense improves at some point...

lets not go overboard on Jonny Evans here - he's still a young defender, and he's been picked ahead of Rio by Sir Alex Ferguson - a man who's forgotten more than every pundit in the country combined knows.
he made a rick which cost us heavy last week, and he probably doesnt have the sparkling potential of Jones or Smalling. but he;s still a very competent player.
I'd personally prefer him to any of the centre backs currently at Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs (Kaboul excepted maybe)

He's been your best defender this season.

Good post, apart from the bit about Kaboul, which is a horrendous comment.

Indeed. I think SAF knows more than us to be honest. (kaboul comment is ridiculous though)

i know kaboul has been ropey over the last 3-4 years, but for a young guy he's now amassed a LOT of experienve.
I've seen a lot of improvement this season

Even so, I'd still rate Vermaelen, Koscielny, Agger and King well above him.

The same Evans who was incapable of defending crosses or marking strikers in last seasons 3-3 fiasco. You would of thought he'd have learnt......rewind to the City game....same ol' same ol'.

Yes in fairness to Evans he's been better than Rio and Evra this season, but that's not saying much. The problem is, he is prone to big gaffs, and when Utd are desperately in need of defensive stability he is a big worry.

+1 Rio and Evra have been cack, it hasn't been too difficult for him to perform better than them. I still have my concerns over him.

Fergie does undoubtedly know more than us, but can't help but feel patience is wearing thin with JE. Too many errors leading to goals this year. Lost markers, missed tackles, clumsy fous etc. In fairness, he hasn't been helped by Phil Jones wandering up the pitch and the injury-induced rolling cast of supporting defenders (consistency in selection being important etc) though...

    yikes,

woke up 0620 local time just for the hunch of seeing the Utd team sheet as i own nani.

By the time i wiped the crust out of my eyes I had about 90 seconds to make a transfer decision, dropped nani for sessegnon.

    hope it payed off.

Gutted... I got in VDV last week when he was 9.9 and he's gone up to 10.1 since then but it is saying he is 10.0 on my team. The FPL has blatantly robbed me of 100K. Has this happened to anyone else?

Read the rules properly before blaming FPL .. That 10.0 just shows how much you'll get if you decide to sell him. For more read the rules again

That always happens.. You get half of the price rise for your own profits, otherwise everyone would be able to cheat the system and get all the best players very quickly.

I havent sold him! It always shows the price you paid for your players.... I bought VDV at 9.9, I STILL have him in my side. His value has increased to 10.1 since i bought him. This has nothing to do with rules when you sell a player and get half he price rise etc..
