Just like the Dutch duo of Van der Vaart and Van Persie, Mark and I keep on delivering, week in week out. With over 60 episodes under our belts, we’ve almost got the hang of it, the banter now nearing the levels of Compo, Foggy and Clegg. Another 300 episodes should crack it.

Like our Sunday night sitcom anti heroes, we once again we deliver the regular formula. A mini-league round-up, a miffed from me, the “all aboard” sift through the bandwagons all leading into our weekend preview. Then we both roll down a hill in a bath tub.

It’s all here. Apart from the last bit about the bath tub.

Need some advice. 1 FT and 0.3 in the bank

    Given ( Ruddy)
    Enrique Simpson Evans Bos
    nani VDV Silva
    RVP Gabby Adebayor

    Subs Moses Reo Coker Wilkinson

    I'm thinking
    1) save the transfer or
    2) Kun & Ramsey in for Ade and Nani 4 point hit

Need to soon get rid of Reo Coker and Bos soon for Brunt and Mcauley/Brown

any other suggestions for improvement most appreciated

Think there is too much wrapped up in your defence.
Best is a worry and you got no 4th or 5th mid which makes me think they are pretty poor.

This week your team is fine.
Jump on all the price rises over the break and move your money from your defence to your midfield.

I can understand why people are selling Rooney because his untimely move to midfield and lack of recent returns coincided with RVP's purple patch, and given the easiest route to RVP is selling Rooney, it's natural Rooney has been sold so much. On the other hand, SAF has indicated he is ready to move Rooney back to his normal position, and with such tasty fixtures coming, people without Rooney could be twitching nervously if he gets a big score against Sunderland. I've kept hold of Rooney despite the 0.3M drop this week and think he's still the most worthwhile and dependable attacker, FPL-wise, Utd have.

Had Raylor since GW3 and when he was 4.0M. He's been one of my best performers this season 😀

Yep I understand also roo => rvp move, but I think people we'll see in coming weeks that you should have both. Or with my luck this year, he's price will drop even more before gw12 and then he'll get injured! Same time agueros price has gone up for 11.6 - who's stupid then 🙂

I have raylor too and lot of value in him, but I can't understand people who are buying him now - fixtures are..hmmm...not very luxurious.

Yeah, very limited player and surprised SAF has such faith in him. Jones in contrast is a far better footballer and better going forward, though obviously much more expensive. If you can afford Jones, definitely go for him as he's more likely to play and has more chance of attacking returns, though both players could be rotated now.

If you watched Grange Hill and Worzel Gummidge, had 3 TV channels, started school with singing in the main hall, played in the woods, made a den, a game was Kick the can, Kiss Chase or Bulldog with not a computer in sight, rode your bike, had to be in before dark, got grounded if you were late, not even the home phone was mobile,… vandalism was scratching the school desk with a compass, you recorded the top 40 off the radio on tape, got 10 sweets in a 10p mix and you turned out ok....

Seems he is going to be centre-mid again with Welbeck and Hernandez (to a much lesser extent) on the bench midweek with Cleverley out also.
RVP will still be more of a differential in a way, and Form/Fixtures > Fixtures.

Rooney is always a good captain choice but, would be worried about him playing deeper, he could still bring in the goods as he did last season when that happened but there were more assists than goals.

I wouldn't call it stupid. Not at all. RVP has the form, yes, but there's no real reason why he'll score a more than Rooney. They're both capable of big big scores. Could be an inspired choice, given the hordes actually dropping Rooney completely.

Bannan to Ramsey would be quite nice!

It's a good enough team for this week, maybe do Bosingwa>Jones for United cover? Could you still afford the Drenthe transfer for GW12?

Bosingwa to Jones this week or save transfer? I'm considering swapping Warnock with Brown or a 4-4.5 def before next GW.

bos to jones is a nice move 🙂 if free I can't see why not... chelsea defense is shyte this season... I think I will do the same...

Yes, but I thought of giving him the last chance against Blackburn and maybe replacing De Laet with Evans instead, so I can have a back line of Bos, Evans and Warnock for this GW (don't think STK will keep a CS away from home and after EL game).

      Fantastic name and gravatar. 🙂

I think Bos to Jones is a good choice. Only one cleanie from Chelsea all season, and Blackburn have rarely failed to score (they just can't seem to keep them out the other end). If free, I'd say yes.

Does anyone have Balotelli? I was hoping he wouldn't play mid week and then play a decent chunk of the game and knock in a few against a pish-week QPR..
Is it worth changing him to Dzeko this week??

I think Balotelli is Mancini's first choice striker now and I expect him to start vs QPR.

        Surely Aguero is first??

I would've thought so too, but Aguero didn't start against Villareal and it was a very important game for the mancs. It's going to be Aguero + one of Dzeko and Balotelli anyway most of the time so it doesn't matter.

i do and was frustrated by his brief cameo role last week. Im thinking of getting rid of him for someone who will play week in week outas its too hard to second guess whether Mancini will pick Dzeko or Ballotelli

Worth holding on to Balotelli for at least the next two weeks. Dzeko has two important euro qualifier playoff games coming up while Balotelli's Italy is already through. So Balotelli is nailed on for the Newcastle game as well. I think it will be Aguero & Balotelli up top vs. QPR while Dzeko gets to rest for his euro escapades 😛

the cameo could have been much better had Kompany been a good boy and not let MC down to 10 men..

all this chat about rooney, what are peoples thoughts on hernandez? 2mil cheaper makes him far more accessible, and he is always going to play up top regardless of where rooney is. i fancy him to go on a run now... what is it that is putting people off? rotation? or is he simply going under the radar at the moment?

I like Chica, think he would have bucket load of goals if he played more... for me i am always looking for another option who i know is a pretty nailed on starter : just seems to be heaps to choose from at the moment...

Really hoping Jones doesn't go up in price tonight. Can people stop transferring him in for the moment? 😉

Want to do Bos to Jones and only have the cash to do it if he doesn't go up tonight. Already did my weekly FT to get rid of De Laet, and don't want to take a hit to get Jones in, as hits for defenders are against my own personal rules.

dont see the problem if your doing a 4pt hit for a def and it is a 'long-term' swap.. Utd are bound to get a good deal of cleanies up until new year surely... now that the Great Wall of Vidic has been built..

Decided to use wildcard this gwmeweek:

    Given
    Simpson Barnett Wilkinson
Van der Vaart Nani Mata Drenthe
Rooney (v) Bendtner Van Persie (c)

    Bench: Vorm Allen McAuley Monk

What do you guys thin about it?
I doubt on Bendtner and Drenthe. Also as you can see my defense is very cheap =)
    Any thoughts please.
