Ten gameweeks into the season and Aaron Ramsey is the leading Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points scorer in the Arsenal midfield. Despite the likes of Theo Walcott playing wide right in the front three and Mikel Arteta’s set-piece duties, the young Welshman betters both his team mates’ tallies, with 37 points to the duo’s 34 respectively.

As the season unfolds, Ramsey is growing accustomed to his role as the furthest forward of Arsenal’s central midfield three; he’s either scored or assisted in four of his last five appearances, with 3 assists in his last couple of home games highlighting his Fantasy potential.

With the player having fully recovered after the horror of last season’s broken leg at Stoke, Arsene Wenger has been full of praise for his recent performances:

“I believe Aaron is on the way up. We speak about Robin van Persie a lot but people forget he has been out for one year when he was just getting into the team and that is tremendous. That he is improving now is normal because he is young. At his age there is still a lot of room for improvement for him. The worry we had was that he would be psychologically touched by the fact he was out for such a long time and we would see that when he goes into challenges. He got over that hurdle and I have been impressed with the way he dealt with the whole situation.”

His manager’s faith is shown by Ramsey’s game time. In the absence of Jack Wilshere, he’s been an integral part of the Gunners midfield in the post-Fabregas era. Aside from missing the gameweek eight home clash with Sunderland, Ramsey had played every minute of the league campaign thus far and has been a pivotal figure in a recent return to form that has seen the Gunners win eight of their last ten matches in all competitions.

Priced at 6.6 in FPL compared to Walcott’s 8.8 and Arteta’s 8.1, for example, Ramsey not only offers a way in to the Arsenal midfield right now, he looks the best option altogether. Owned by 10.9% of Fantasy managers, he’s already been transferred in by over 21,000 ahead of this weekend’s home clash with West Brom. With a very favourable run of fixtures that reads (WBA, nor, FUL, wig, EVE, mcy) there’s no doubt the young Welshman has both the form and the fixtures to prosper over the next few gameweeks as the new-look Arsenal start to click into place.

Would you do these two transfers?

    Adebayor to Graham
    Sinclair to VDV.

I can do both for free?

Would leave my team for this week as.
    Given (Ruddy)
    ShawX, Ward, Simpson(Brown, Kompany)
    VDV(V), Silva, Nani, Brunt(Moses)

Waldaz, if you're still on, here's the slightly surprising Schalke line-up for tonight:

    Unnerstall
    Uchida, Papadopoulos, Matip, Fuchs
    Höger, Moravek
    Draxler, Marica, Jurado
    Huntelaar

Subs: Schober, Sarpei, Escudero, Holtby, Metzelder, Baumjohann, Farfan

So, having promised not to rotate, coach Huub Stevens has left out anyone who is even slightly injured (Farfan, Raúl, Holtby, Jones und Höwedes).

Not worth the risk in my opinion. Jones seems to have a spot nailed either at RB or CB and after his horrible performance against City (red card included), I would hope Smalling gets the node at RB along with Vidic/Ferdinand/Jones. Evra obviously retains LB.

2 free transfers and no pressing concerns. Jones in for Bosingwa is the only the only transfer that makes sense but closest rival did that one last week and I hate to look like I'm copying him :/

I wouldn't worry about that Mcnulty, though i do know what you mean. Maybe keep bosingwa for the blackburn game then get rid 🙂

Yeah, thinking of waiting until after the international break before making a change.

All this Drenthe talk made me look at hes stats and he looks like the real deal. Considering between him and brunt to replace Dyer.

I would see his playing this gameweek. Even one goal or one assist is enough for me to bring him in.

I want to bring him in in the near future, especially with the DGW. Hes seem good so far, one of Everton's best attacking threat so ill doubt he'll be rotated too much.

    Good evening everybody!

    Current team is:

    Given - (Ruddy)
    (Kompany) - Enrique - Simpson - Gabbidon -( Shawcross)
    Nani - Silva - VDV - Sinclair - (Dyer)
    VP - Adebayor - Agbonlahor

Will WC next week. Would Kompany out, Jones in be a sensible move (FT)? Don't want to play Gabbidon against MC. Will wait till last minute news about Shawx but it doesn't look good.

I wonder if full coverage is really needed. Can you say which is the top FPL team without City, United or Newcastle coverage?

Is there a FPL-team in top10 or top20 which have not been using players from the top3 teams?
