Newcastle line-up as predicted with Sylvain Marveaux given the chance to impress once more, with Gabriel Obertan sidelined. There are two changes for the visitors, as Royston Drenthe and Phil Neville come in for Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and the suspended Marouanne Fellaini. Teams in full are…

Newcastle XI: Krul; Simpson, S.Taylor, Coloccini (c), R.Taylor; Marveaux, Cabaye, Guthrie, Gutierrez; Ba, Best.

Everton XI: Howard; Hibbert, Jagielka, Heitinga, Baines; Coleman, Neville, Rodwell, Drenthe; Osman; Saha.

A fair few high scores are expected today. Liverpool at home to Swansea. United facing Steve Bruce’s Sunderland. Chelsea away at Blackburn. Arsenal hosting West Brom. City closing out the day down at Loftus Road against QPR.

The only other remaining fixture of the day is Aston Villa vs Norwich and that too looks like it could join in the revelry. Cue nil-nils all round to defy expectations. Either way, the Dugout Discussion will be here through every kick of the ball.

    All the uncertainty with the RVP and Nani assist can make it a good start or a bad start to the gameweek!

    United dominating possession but Sunderland pressing very well, haven't had many clear cut chances.Rooney playing in the same role he did for the majority of last season, but being forced to drop a little deeper to try and create something.

    Game should open up a bit in the second half now that Sunderland have to attack.

      I bloody hope it opens up- Rooney (c) isn't looking very inspired at the moment! Fantasy aside, I really think Rooney should be up their with Hernandez to provide a real attacking threat with Park filling in central midfield and Welbeck going to the wing.

          Yeah, 'unfortunately' I have captained him every week except last, so I missed out on Rooney (C) at the start but RVP is repaying the faith!

            I have been jammy on that front I had it on dzeko and rooney during their runs at the beginning and rvp of late (except of course last week but vdv saved me a bit there).

            I have had 4 hat-tricks with the captains armband! 🙂

    Not sure what the doubt is surrounding the RVP assist, SSN said Gervinho knocked it across, RVP cut it back with his right foot and Vermaelen finished it.

      RVP's ball to Vermaelen was deflected, it hit either Gervonho or a West Brom defender, they were close to each other.

      Song crossed it, RVP laid it back but it looks like it hit the back of Gervinho's heel and into the path of Vermaelen who smashed it home from 12 yards.

      I have RVP as captain and I'm not confident he'll keep that assist. Think they'll give it to Gervinho tomorrow, once MOTD confirms it tonight.

      Wouldn't be surprised. They've also given the Man U assist to Nani, which could also be stripped. With RVP(c) I stand to have 9 points stripped off my score now. Wish they wouldn't make this mistakes.

        When they showed the angle from behind you see it changed the direction of the ball by hitting gervinho, just very slightly. Praying fpl dont notice

      Sturridge has looked ok but his dive was shocking. Samba off now though which is back news for Rovers and probably good news for FPL
