The EA Sports PPI scores are now published and the Fantasy Premier League game bonus have been awarded, here’s how they map out for Gameweek Eleven. As far as we know, the goals, assists and bonus points have now been fully revised and the current points will now stand…

Arsenal 3 West Brom 0

Vermaelen 3, Van Persie & Arteta 2

With Gervinho judged to have got a touch on Robin Van Persie cross, the Arsenal skipper lost his initial assist for the Thomas Vermaelen’s goal and dropped to 32 PPI points as a result. He lost out on the maximum to the Belgian defender by just a single PPI point with Vermaelen recording 33 in the PPI. Mikel Arteta also recorded a PPI of 32 so he has now been promoted in the bonus reckoning, sharing the two bonus points with Van Persie. Alex Song and Theo Walcott were just outside the bonus reckoning.

Aston Villa 3 Norwich 2
Agbonlahor 3, Bent 2, Pilkington 1

The cast in our prediction were correct, but it was Gabby Agbonlahor who gained top billing by just a single EA PPI point from team-mate Darren Bent – it could not have been closer. Antony Pilkington came in for the single as predicted, courtesy of his fourth goal of the season. On 32 PPI points, Pilkington was a fully 20 behind both Bent and Agbonlahor. Pilkington nonetheless got the bonus, holding off team-mate Steve Morison by just 3 PPI points.

Blackburn 0 Chelsea 1

Lampard 3, Ivanovic 2, Cech 1

Our prediction in last night’s members article was spot on here. Frank Lampard gathered the bonus with a PPI score of 44, a full 19 points ahead of team-mate Branislav Ivanovic who, courtesy of his assist and some decent defensive stats, earned bonus on his return to the right-back berth. Petr Cech’s saves helped him secure just a second clean sheet of the season to help gather a PPI of 23, enough to see off Ashley Cole for the single bonus point.

Liverpool 0 Swansea 0

Dyer 3, Vorm 2, Johnson 1

Hands up, we got this one wrong in last night’s prediction. Despite Nathan Dyer’s ICT stats putting him second overall in this match behind Luis Suarez (who was never going to score well in PPI terms), we chose to ignore his claim for bonus and beef up the defensive players. Dyer did however prevail here, no doubt helped by an impressive set of all-round statistics that included tackles and efforts on goal. His 20 PPI points was the lowest total to earn 3 bonus this week but nonetheless proved enough, as Michel Vorm (17) and Liverpool’s Glen Johnson (15) came in next to also fetch bonus points.

Manchester United 1 Sunderland 0

Evra 3, Rooney 2, Vidic & Nani 1

Despite Patrice Evra coming out on top amongst our ICT ratings in the United defence, we opted to go with both Vidic and Ferdinand for the bonus in last night’s prediction, believing that their extra clearances would see them ahead in the PPI stakes. Evra’s all-round contribution, that included some decent attacking statistics, proved enough for him to record a PPI of 30 however, seeing off Wayne Rooney (26) and Vidic (19). Nani also totalled 19 PPI points to share the single bonus point with Vidic – we’ve had it confirmed that Nani is holding on to his assist for the winning goal – Danny Welbeck did not get a touch on his cross before Wes Brown nodded into his own net.

Newcastle 2 Everton 1

R Taylor 3, Rodwell 2, Simpson & Ba 1

Ryan Taylor gathered the maximum having scored what turned out to be the winning goal, converting his own long-throw via a Demba Ba flick, with an effort that dipped over Tim Howard. Ba shared a single bonus point having gained the assist for Taylor’s goal – his flick was cleared by an Everton defender within the penalty box, therefore, as the last attacker with a touch, Ba earned the assist. Danny Simpson, who provided the assist for the John Heitinga own goal, also fetched bonus here. Both Simpson and Ba recorded 21 EA PPI’s points, with Everton’s Jack Rodwell topping that on 25 courtesy of his consolation that offered Everton hope just before half-time, to earn the two bonus here.

QPR 2 Man City 3

Dzeko 3, Toure 2, Silva 1

Edin Dzeko came out on top as predicted with another powerful attacking display in City’s win at Loftus Road. The Bosnian just nudged out team-mate Yaya Toure by just a single PPI point, while David Silva’s goal helped him to a PPI haul of 29 – enough to see him earn a single bonus point. Jay Bothroyd was QPR’s top PPI performer on the day but was someway behind a host of City contenders as the victory heavily influenced the PPI outcome.

Wolves 3 Wigan 1

O’Hara 3, Ward 2, Edwards 1

Last night’s Members article correctly predicted the names amongst today’s bonus but it was Stephen Ward who sneaked in front of David Edwards to earn the two bonus points. Ward’s return of 30 PPI points was enough to see off Edwards who recorded 27, while Jamie O’Hara was a clear front runner here, amassing no less than 55 PPI points with a goal and two assists to his name. Kevin Doyle and Stephen Hunt also put in impressive PPI scores, with Ben Watson Wigan’s best performer on the day.

Bolton 5 Stoke City 0

Klasnic 3, Ealges, Wheater 1

Ivan Klasnic returned to the Bolton lineup and recorded the top overall PPI score of the gameweek with a haul of 68. That was more than enough to see him hold off team-mate Chris Eagles for the maximum bonus points. We predicted that David Wheater would sneak in for a single bonus, courtesy of some decent defensive stats and his assist, and so it proved. Wheater held off the claims of Kevin Davies and Paul Robinson who also fetched storng PPI returns from the Reebok rout.

Fulham 1 Tottenham 3

Bale 3, Lennon 2, Adebayor 1

Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon provided the major attacking threat for Spurs and subsequently dominated the PPI scores in this match. Bale edged out his team-mate by just a single PPI point to fetch the maximum on offer, while Emmanuel Adebayor did enough to pick up the single point, surprisingly surpassing the PPI total of Brad Friedel, who kept Fulham at bay with a string of saves. Friedel recorded a PPI score of 20 with Adebayor amassing 26 to claim the single bonus.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Rules state "All assists are reviewed before the points are updated at the end of each day."
That's a clear breach of their own rules. This isn't on.
They should amend that to "All assists are reviewed within the following 2 days."

They've not breached the rules. The scores are updated as scheduled on a Monday morning. Therefore assists are reviewed as part of the update.

“All assists are reviewed before the points are updated at the end of each day.”
The Arsenal game was Saturday, and the points are updated daily. They've just reviewed RVPs assist 2 days later. That's NOT the same day.

Maybe it was reviewed again, after people complained, therefore no rules were broken,

I actually agree with you, but that's certainly an excuse they could give, and by the letter of the rules they would be right. It doesn't need the word 'again' for it to be correct.

Well, they certainly need to alter their rules and at least state that “All assists are reviewed on a daily basis. No decision is final.”
The way the rules are at the moment one would expect the reviews to take place by the end of day, presumably the day the game was played. Not 2 days later.

agreed, but they've adhered to the letter of the rules. They could have reviewed the assist on Saturday and kept it, reviewed it again on Sunday and kept it, then reviewed it this morning and removed it. Therefore, they have met the "all assists are reviewed before the points are updated at the end of each day" statement.

Yeah, I see your point. They've given themselves a get out clause. Still think they should re-word their rules for the benefit of the players though.
The main gripe is with them falsely giving out assists where there was doubt. In these cases they should hold back until the assist is 100% verified.

Aye that's how I see it. They indeed do have their get out clause, but it would cause both them and us a lot less bother if they reworded it like you say.

Although I must say, I'm not sure they even know if there are doubts with the assists until people complain, if they simply just use the data given to them. Not really a good system that they use.

I think they got them both right.

Welbeck didn't touch the ball, that's certain having looked closely at the replay, and I think the ball hit Gervinho's standing leg as he tried to flick it with his other.

IMO The assist rule is currently broken.

Agreed on the Nani/Welbeck one. I really don't think there was a touch there.

On the RVP/Gervinho one, I watched so many replays yesterday morning and not once was I certain of what happened. They may have got it right, but it's a bit of a guess imo.

Definitely broken. If they're taking the time to review it surely they can do so and say "Evidence is inconclusive, it may have brushed Gervinho's leg but RVP did all the good work in creating the goal so give it to him."

This was my point. You think it hit Gervinho but others who have watched (pressumably) the same footage think it did not. There seems to be a doubt that it was Gervinhos assist just as there seems to be a doubt that it is Van Persies. I personally suspect FPL are swayed by the e-mails they receive.

I see they have taken the second RVP assist away. I think that’s a tough call, I’ve seen it a few times and find it hard to prove who it deflects off even after trying to live pause it on Skyplus! You win some you lose some. Nani has kept his thus far which I thought was more iffy.

Morning Garg! Of course dear fellow.. I got rid of Bos for BAE (never thought I’d write those three letters!) and Petrov for Sess. I did look at the Drenthe but I’m thinking Sess to him in a few weeks. I couldn’t ignore Sess against Wigan and Blackburn. Did think about the Bendy bus but I’m sticking with Suarez. I know it is early but I had dead wood anyway, so even if I get injuries they wouldn’t be playing. I had two frees so thought I’d go for it.

          Good moves BBA.

I feel plenty of the popular choices this week are a bit dodgy but backing players against Wigan this season can't really go wrong.

I have to get rid of Bosingwa and Petrov this week too. Will wait a while longer but I like what you've done there. Investing 5m in a Spurs defenders will of course never feel 100% good 🙂

I could have gone for any of Drenthe, Brunt, Walters or Sess to replace Metrov. All look pretty good options to me over the next couple of months or so.

After Fulham at home which isn’t a bad fixture, they have Wigan then a leaky, shaky Wolves at Molineux and then Blackburn. Hopefully barring injuries I can ship de Laet for Brown or Turner the week too. Would love de Laet to stay at 4mill and not drop to 3.9 but I don’t think he’ll make it two weeks so will just have to take that one.

As for 5mill in a Spurs defender – I know what you mean!! Walker was .5 more and although I could afford it there was no way I could stomach that! Plus I quite like BAE, you never know what you are gonna get!

For a full back BAE is actually really involved in play. Much more so than the average full back. At some stage he'll get attacking points of some kind.

I'm completely buying your Sunderland talk, think Sessegnon is the man for me too. I'm not sure yet if I'll need to lose both Petrov and Bosingwa this week, but it would be for a hit. It's likely I will take the -4 in the end though. Hmmm.

Likewise Garg, never fully confident in Sunderland players – Sessegnon especially as he has only had two big scores. Not sure how the Larsson absence in the first of the good run of games will affect him either. However, I would say the same about Drenthe and Everton, Brunt at West Brom and Walters at Stoke. I guess the latter two take penalties but this game is all about hunches and I’m going to take mine on Sess.

And -4 for a hit on a defender I never like doing, unless it was for someone like Baines in full flow where you aren’t just counting on defensive returns. I’ve counted on BAE in this instance but it is still more in hope than expectation when it comes to attacking returns but he has impressed me this season.

Same as. I don't mind them taking time to decide, but keep within the time limit they have stated in their own rules for assist reviews. NOT raise everyone's hopes with a falsely given assist! And definitely not break their own rules and review an assist 2 days later.

Looked like a 100% air-shot to me, then it hit the defenders leg. Crazy decision by FPL... Nani's was much more a doubt to me than RVPs, really looked like Welbeck got a flick.

Seriously so annoyed with FPL this year. Every week i look at my team compared with the others in my mini-league filled with Man United supporting not heard of any of the players types thinking i'll rinse them any given week, but still score less. every week.

Obviously a silly rant but people with players like Obi Mikel, Tiote and doubling up on defenders.... they shouldn't be doing so well. 🙁

True that. People keep saying that it will balance out over the season, but boy the season is already quite far in. This season has been a good one for the 'casual' player thus far.

My three (benched) Swansea players got 21 points between them this week...

My three (playing) Newcastle players got 9 points between them.

Just goes to show there's form, there's fixtures, and then there's f***'s sake.

      And some seasons are form..

      Some are fixtures...

This year is the last one!

Not taking as seriosuly this year as effort gains less rewards it seems to me. Still fun, but much more luck....scores have been mental.

Makes normal footy more fun for neutral...but not FPL!

How is the FFS H2H promotion going overall Waldaz? (Apart from the last two weeks it seems!) I got shifted down a league and it isn’t going great. Got wiped out by two much lower than me last two weeks, O’Hara done for me this week even though I’ve had green arrows of late.

Really annoyed at the removal of the RVP assist..in fact its complete bull! Can someone show me clear evidence that it touched Gervinho and not McAuley?

I suppose its no surprise given the fact that FFS has been more or less campaigning for the removal of the assist since it happened...with no clear evidence to back it up.

FPL have taken a pure guess on this one.
