With three goals and an assist in his last two matches, Fantasy managers have been put on high alert to Gareth Bale’s renewed potential, having witnessed him frustrate for much of last season. Explosive on the European stage, Bale often failed to produce in the Premier League on a consistent basis. This term, however, there’s a growing feeling that Bale may have developed further as an attacking prospect.

In our fifth members article of the week, we examine Bale’s progress in detail, assessing his minutes per event statistics to gain insight into whether he truly has grown as a Fantasy prospect who could finally emerge from the shadow of team-mate Rafael Van der Vaart.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Evening chaps,

Just putting final touces to my WC team. Would appreciate any comments, good or bad…..haven’t had the time i’d like to put into this so it could be a pile of shite….bear in mind it’s for the forseeable future (hence keeper choices)

    Vorm Krul
    Jones Brown Naylor Simpson Wilkonson
    VDV Silva Bale Walters Eagles
    RVP Dzeko Bendy

If things not too bad, who to play tomorrow?

My only differences to the team above is:

Kompany, Enrique, Sessegnon and Graham in for Naylor, Brown, Walters and Bendy

I'm selling Shawcross for Brown. Already have Wilkinson and have no other transfers to make (keeping Sturridge over Bendtner) with my two frees. Tempted by Turner after reading Butts's funny feeling.

Hold strong brother (also overcoming the Bendy temptation and keeping studge)

I also read Butt's funny feeling and I want turner as well..........but Bramble is coming back, and brown is just safer.

Ramsey is not a long term option. That's just my opinion though. I know he's a good player, but I'm yet to find a reason for him to be in the scout picks past couple weeks.

I like it on the whole. Perhaps leave Roo until he shows form. He's worth a transfer when hot.

Ruddy only worth it when you're playing Vorm every week.

Gabbidon is injury prone with terrible fixtures. Hibbert is your man to rotate with Naylor. Danny Simp is too good a value to leave out a squad for the sake of 3 bad fixtures.

      Ruddy to Krul
      Gabbidon to Simpson

Bench them both for the next 3 fixtures.

I'm liking the look of that backline. Caulker to Neil Taylor before his rise and then you can concentrate on getting the big hitters when you need them.

Pretty sure he will according to FISO. I have no idea whether Caulker will walk straight back in or perhaps Monk will retain his place. Avoid that uncertainty and get nailed on, attacking, BP potential, free-kick taking Naylor. An absolute bargain alongside Simpson, Raylor and Vorm this season.

Am I letting loyalty cloud my judgement when thinking of playing Enrique (che) over McAuley (BOL)?

I mean West Brom don't keep that many clean sheets and have lost 2 on the trot, while bolton are on a (brief) high, and Enrique has a small chance of a CS and more chance of attacking points..

use that for either Sturridge to Hernandez or Bannan to Nani. United coverage is important, in my opinion.

If Rooney's fixtures didn't match up with RVP's so "perfectly" (i.e. captainable games the same week, all the time) I would absolutely love this option...

As it stands. That £12m/£12.6m of non-captaincy has me slightly doubtful.

Your FPL number is 89?? Well 2 digits are better than 7 😛

So, Roger Johnson and Bannan to Wes Brown and Pilkington/Eagles should fit your budget about right.

Just noticed the extra 4.7, I agree you could upgrade Bannan to Nani with that, if you trust nani to come back on form.

Looks good Demi. Similar to mine. I want to do Petrov>Drenthe but means downgrading Given for a 4 point hit, otherwise go for Eagles or Pilkington for no hit. What do you reckon?

Hmm that is tough. Who's your other goalie? Everyone says 4pt hits for a goalkeeper/defender is suicide, but with Villa's next few fixtures.. it could pay off in the long run. Drenthe looks great for a good few gameweek's now. Not to keen on Eagles, and i wouldn't be bringing Pilkington in this week.
It's normally frowned upon, but i would do Given and Petrov out for Drenthe and another goalie.. (preferably vorm)

thanks mate I have Vorm was thinking just go Krul I know fixtures arent great but its obviously for the rest of the season. Westwood is another option but would mean using another transfer on a keeper later in season.

I reckon Westwood's a good bet tbh dude, as you can rotate him and Vorm right up until the Jan wildcard. Furthermore, if Gordon makes a quicker than expected return, you can just put Vorm in all the time, and he'll see you right through till the wildcard weeks. Plus i assume you have one of Simpson/Rtaylor. Wouldn't want to get Krul in with these next few fixtures

Your defence is in some serious trouble so if you want to shift Simpson and then drop Enrique to the bench. But if your fine with it then leave it as it is.

wow! posts coming so thick and fast i got one (not the best) comment, so i'll ask again guys.

    RMT please

    Westwood

    Enrique, BAE, Jones

    Walters, VDV, Silva (v), Ramsey

    Torres, RVP (c), Suarez

Subs: Ruddy, N.Taylor, Simpson, Ferguson (Shipping Torres & Ferguson next week)

OK overall? subs in right order?

Bit risky playing torres & suarez against each other but might be a high scoring game, who knows.
Anyone reckon Torres will even play?

    Any comments much appreciated.

      Really? nobody? lol

Fine i'll do my own. I reckon it's a good team mate, bit worried about Jones playing but should be alright. Torres is a no no, but as your getting rid next week may as well play him and hope for the best.

Subs are in right order i think, maybe try bringing in ade for torres though next week and upgrading elsewhere, but overall looks pretty good man.

nope, a few i have seen on here have considered Turner to brown, just comes down to who ya think will be more stable to stay out the way of yellow/red cards, and potential attacking returns i reckon.

i personally though would consider brown.
