After yesterday’s Premier League bonanza of eight games, today we have to settle for just a single fixture. It’s a potential cracker though, as Chelsea take on Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. The Dugout Discussion opens it’s doors for the short shift, and the team news is in…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Mikel, Lampard, Mata, Drogba, Malouda.

Liverpool XI: Reina, Enrique, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Lucas, Adam, Kuyt, Maxi, Bellamy, Suarez.

The headline news concerns the names that don’t appear on those team sheets. Three players that cost their respective clubs a total of over £100m in 2011 all feature on the bench. Chelsea opt for Didier Drogba over former Liverpool star Fernando Torres, and Liverpool leave out Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing in favour of Craig Bellamy and Maxi Rodriquez.

Elsewhere, David Luiz and Florent Malouda get the nod ahead of Alex and Daniel Sturridge respectively.

Join us in the Dugout Discussion chatroom to follow all the action.

I thought about it, but he hadnt been looking that great to me so out for Bendy seemed reasonable! Ill be getting Ba in for him in a few weeks anyway as i think he is possibly the best value in that price band.

Hmm, not eggs with eggs. Different types of players. How many would Suarez scored at City with the players they have? We will never know. To say he cant cut it is misguided. He is a very classy player, very cute short passes that creates a shed load of chances.

Newman I think you hit a few nerves there. Suarez looks good, runs at defenders, creates chances. Is he a good forward? Yes. Is he the worlds best player? No. Top 5 prem strikers? Maybe. Good fantasy football prospect? Definitely not. Only room for 2 expensive strikers. That's RVP and one more from either Citeh or Rooney for Man utd coverage.
