Gameweek 13 gets off to a somewhat underwhelming start, as two of the Premier League’s worst form sides do battle. Coming in to the game on the back of four straight defeats, Stoke City host a Blackburn Rovers side with only one win to their name this season.

On the otherhand, we could be about to witness another end-to-end classic between two sides desperate for points. Blackburn showed last week that they will stop at nothing to get a result, even if that means Morten Gamst Pederson has to take a corner to himself or Paul Robinson has to go up and headbutt an opponent’s boot. Stoke XI: Sorensen, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Huth, Wilson, Pennant, Whelan, Delap, Etherington, Walters, Crouch.

Blackburn XI: Robinson, Lowe, Hanley, Dann, Givet, Rochina, Nzonzi, Pedersen, Hoilett, Formica, Yakubu.

Once again, Tony Pulis picks Thomas Sorensen ahead of Asmir Begovic in goal for the Potters. He also hands starts to Marc Wilson and Glenn Whelan, at the expense on Danny Higginbotham and Dean Whitehead.

Steve Kean is forced in to one change, with Mauro Formica coming in for the suspended David Dunn. Elsewhere, Jason Lowe replaces Michel Salgado.

After that we have six 3p.m. kick-offs, and the action concludes at tea-time with Arsenal Vs. Fulham.

      Don't worry, Rooney will start scoring regularly again. Fantastic fixtures coming up although I do think Hernandez may be the better option as it allows you to upgrade elsewhere.

      Apart from one season Rooney usually scores about 12-14 goals a season.

    Hmm. I've never been sold on Bale as a Fantasy player (unless he was classed as a defender). However, he has to be considered now. I know DVD is on pens and free kicks and won't be out long but I'm coming round to the idea of selling for Bale. Over the Christmas period the games come thick and fast, DVD may not be able to play so many games with his dodgy hammies - Bale will play 90 all day long. Obviously the double gameweek would be different as the games are spaced far apart but maybe the short term move would be sell DVD. Will have to wait to see any updates on the situ this week. I can afford the Dutchman to drop .1 and lose nothing, shame the Welshie will be going up tonight but hey ho. Defoe scoring today and banging in the goals for the reserves merely adds to the prospect of less game time for Rafa too.

    I do feel that FPL should deduct Bale 2points each time he celebrates with that ridiculous hand heart though, annoys me so.

        I honestly think he's gonna come good now that all the travelling is done for international fixtures and he has some really good fixures coming up too. Cant be as frustrating as having rooney ( who i hate) in my team.

      I signed Ba at 6.1 Ba, Silva, Adebayor, Vorm and Walters have been my best signings. All signed at their original price. Great value.
      RVP is good value too I suppose even though I signed him at 12.1.
