Back in blighty, I make a long-awaited return to the podcast studio, armed with a barrel full of “miffeds”. Top of list – what happened last week? I turn my back and Mark goes and finds himself a new co-host. Luckily, the concept of Mark sharing the ScoutCast airwaves with renowned football expert was quickly frowned upon by the masses, paving the way for my jubilant return.

I say jubilant, the fact is that Mark established a decent mini-league lead in my absence, giving me a few jibes to duck in between moans. Such banter is sprinkled around the ScoutCast regulars, as we turn our backs of the high-brow discussion of last week’s outing, to plunge the depths of Fantasy football nonsense.

Arfa and Sess. Walters and Stoke seem very poor when they play away.

ok guys I've asked this before, but now that Tiote (who I'm taking out next week anyway) is confirmed as still out I thought I'd ask again.

I have 2 frees but want 2 next week, so am only using 1 so which of these options is best

    a) Westwood - Cerny (gives me a keeper at home, as who knows about Vorm away, could be brilliant or useless) but would be temorary as I plan on getting Friedel when I have cash

    b) Woodgate to McAuley (gives me an extra guaranteed starter and can maybe start ahead of Raylor but may also be temporary as would get rid of him or Brown for Jags)

    c) Sinclair - O'Hara I have 2 Swans midfielders, and Allen is best in his price range, but would remove one guaranteed starter, but greater possibility of points and more long-term move

    Team is linked.

      C

If you're planning on getting rid of McAuley for Jags, West Brom aren't a safe bet for clean sheets.

Wouldn't be too worried about having Westwood and Vorm as your keepers either.

Keeping, even if he misses this week. I'll only want him back later. He's an in-form striker (although classed as a mid) playing for a very attacking successful side, who takes set pieces. Can't get much better than that as far as fantasy football is concerned.

Don't blame the public sector for that, that's a problem for the private sector. The private sector lack of pensions is a result of the wilful greed of top directors, who have closed pension schemes while protecting their own nest eggs.

Hey Granville - fair point about private sector pensions but this isnt always the case how about the your local retailers or hair dressing assistants. They don't have top directors creaming everything off the top and are left with nothing still in the majority of cases taking less home that your average paid public sector worker. by the way i have worked in both industries not just a grudge about the public sector

Indeed, perhaps if we who worked in the private sector took a leaf out of the strikers' books, we may start to get what we deserve too. One should admire those brave enough to take a stand, rather than snipe because they're fighting for rights and others aren't. I'm fully behind them.

Totally agree, Jimski. Someone said yesterday that if they strike they arent guaranteed success, but if they dont they are guaranteed failure.

Most of those who went on strike arent on the inflated wages or pensions published. Also, I dont see the govt capping the wages or pensions of MP's or those and the bonuses of the fat cat bosses, so why pick on those less fortunate than themselves.

Oh and I work in the private sector btw 🙂

Get off the Bendy bus at the next stop. You have cover at the other positions short term. Leap on the Yak for the next few weeks! And bring Vorm in next week. Rio will probably be injured again by then and Evans might be getting a game again.

5pts last time was hardly a "big score". Unless he produces a miracle, Bale will underscore VDV by loads by the end of the season. Sell VDV now and you may not be able to buy him back. It's a gamble I am willing to take. I would prefer Nani over Bale at the mo!

he wasn't the player who destroyed Arsenal, but he wasn't bad, he wasted a few good chances (though he wasn't the only one) and he looked a little rusty, but he definitely made a difference to the way United played.

Plus he's back at Villa Park, he's sure to want to prove something.

If I didn't I'd have transferred him out this week. I'm the league leader and know the 2 guys chasing me will captain RvP (though one could go and captain Ade) it's a really tough call as Aguero is at home, but RvP has Wigan

Aguero would be a serious shout for capt. if I knew he was playing. At this juncture I'll be relieved if I get 60 mins from him. That said, I have to go with RVP for 90mins.

    Vorm ( Given )
Enrique Walker Jags ( Simpson Turner )
Mata ( VC ) VDV Silva Rodwell ( Dyer )
    Ade RVP (C ) Studge

Am seriously considering Rodwell to O’Hara for a 4 point hit – then can play Dyer next week for Fulham ( H )

Don’t like hits, but think O’Hara is a good punt and differential? My team is far too similar to my opponent in the cup and need a differential or two!
