A run of three home games in the next four for Blackburn Rovers elevates Paul Robinson in this week’s Watchlist rankings. Steve Kean’s side have been anything but reliable at the back this term but with Scott Dann returning at Stoke last Saturday and skipper Chris Samba approaching fitness, an increased solidity at the back seems likely.

A look at the season ticker shows there is further reason behind our reckoning. With Swansea’s Michel Vorm- the top-owned Fantasy goalkeeper- facing three away games in the following four, Robinson’s home fixtures dovetail perfectly with the Dutch stopper’s and may well appeal to those looking to bench Vorm in light of the Swans’ poor form on the road.

Indeed, Robinson comes face to face with Swansea at Ewood Park this weekend and Brendan Rodgers’ side, with just 3 goals on their travels, affords Blackburn a strong chance of their first clean sheet this term. A trip to manager-less Sunderland, followed by a home clash with West Brom offers plenty promise, with both opponents struggling for goals so far this season.

Robinson then hosts Bolton in a Lancashire derby and while Owen Coyle’s side have scored in all but one away fixture so far, their form has been far from healthy. Priced at 4.7 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Robinson is a budget-friendly option whose shot-stopping ability will no doubt help rack up the “save” points over the next few weeks as Rovers look to scramble clear of the relegation zone.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Hi all can u pls offer me some advice?

    Current team:

    Vorm (Westwood)

    Richards, jones, gabbidon (Simpson, brown)

    Vdv, silva, dyer, drenthe (moses)

    RVP, Rooney, adebayor

I have 1 free transfer and 0.4m in bank.

I was thinking Ba and Bale/Cahill for Rooney and Moses?
Or even baines and Ba for gabbidon and Rooney???

    Thoughts please?

Let me know the result! We have a similar frontline and I'm thinking of Brown -> Baines and Rooney -> Ba (2 FT). I wouldn't do it fo a hit.

      Btw, your link is broken.

apologies for the repost - lost on last thread

the fpl site was down last night ‘for essential maintenance’ at 12.00, but waiting up I finally managed to log in and transfer out Best at 1.00 before his predicted price drop.
I look on the site this morning and somehow he is still in my team even though i ‘confirmed transfer’, fortunately at his existing price, I would not have been happy if his price had dropped – I wonder if FPL have cocked up and made a concession as I also expected to lose .1 on wright phillips overnight
    Anybody else get problems ?

    Morning all

    Stick or twist?

    Vorm
    Kompany, Jones, Enrique
    Silva, VDV, Drenthe, Walters, Sess
    RVP, Aguero

    Subs: Ruddy, Graham, Brown, Simpson
    Bank: 0.5mm

Anyone know anything on whats going on with Drenthe? Am tempted to leave as this week and make 2 changes next week to bring in Ba for Graham, and switch out Sess for Allen

Would appreciate some help with this. 2.4 in the bank, 1 free transfer:

    Vorm Given
    Kompany Enrique Simpson Brown Wilko
    Silva Bale Walters Brunt Dyer
    RVP Ade Suarez

Should I keep Suarez? He has some nice fixtures coming up, but he's just not scoring goals.

Could get Ba or Hernandez instead? If I get Ba I could also get Baines for a 4 pointer?

    Would appreciate some thoughts.

      2. Suarez - Ba
      3. Suarez - Hernandez

      Fun fact -

In 1647, The English Parliament passed a law that made Christmas illegal. Christmas festivities were banned by Puritan leader Oliver Cromwell, who considered feasting and revelry on what was suppose to be a holy day to be immoral. Anyone caught celebrating was arrested. The ban was only lifted when the Puritans lost power in 1660. In America hower the Puritans banned Christmas between 1659 and 1681.

I very much doubt we'll get news on VDV.

Baines is a massive differential, but also a big risk with the way he messes up the balance of your team. If you get him this week and he does nothing, next week he's got Arsenal away so there's a good chance he'll get nothing again. It's then a pain in the arse deciding whether to keep him for his 2 nice home games.

    Vorm / (Al Habsi)
    Enrique / Kompany / ShawX / P.Jones / (S.Taylor)

Have you considered this? As a fellow VdV owner reluctant to part with him I weighing up options.
I have begun to wonder if a temporary (1GW switch from VdV to Theo might be worthwhile, Theo is fit, will start and has Wigan, and is in form, I can then transfer back to VdV next week when we can be pretty sure he is gonna be fit)

This may not work for you, but I have 2 frees and would only use one, so can use my other free or take a 4 point hit to get him back if he's not fit

Theo's as much a risk as vdv.......high, then low, then no show, then high, then low, etc, etc....

I'm looking at him as a 1 week option (I have 2 frees, might as well use 1 save losing it), as he's against Wigan, and next week VdV comes back in (by which point if he's hasn't played this week his value may well be the same as I bought him for, meaning I've made profit on him from selling)

The thing is that I don't have 2 FTs so If i transfer him out (-4) I will have to get another hit next week as I will want to bring in Utd coverage as well so it is -8 for one week I dont think that Bale is gonna score more tha 10 points so I won't do it.

I m thinking to bring in Bale for someone else tho.
I don't know if I have to transfer in him or Adam as I don't have Liv coverage and their fixtures are improving

Newcastle are 3-1 to win vs Chelsea - definitely worth a cheeky £10.

Haha, I think we're all in the same boat i put big singles on WHU and Cardiff midweek so made a bit. This weekend i'm looking at at a Man U and Leeds double comes in about 2/1.

You's are away to Southend which im going to take as both teams to score.

Dimitar Berbatov injury "not serious". Sir Alex said he had a knock last weekend and got a recurrence of it

Wenger: "Diaby is out. Rosicky is out - he has a chance to go to Olympiacos. Ryo is out until the end of December."

"Frimpong and Coquelin were already involved but players like AOC have made good progress. He's not far away."

I hope AOC breaks into the side at some point. A minor 3 month injury to Theo would do it.

No chance of dropping. 🙂 Fixtures saving him i think. Think he might score too at Villa Park.

    Lescott Enrique Saylor Brown Caulker

    RVP Ade Bendtner

Should I just look to upgrade Caulker/Moses with my one free transfer or can anyone see any other issues?
