With no televised (English) top-flight game yesterday, Sunday’s double-header has us eagerly anticipating some live Premier League action. The Dugout Discussion opens for the second day of Gameweek 15, with a relegation scrap and a game between two sides aiming for Europe.

We start at the Stadium of Light as Martin O’Neill takes over the reigns as Sunderland manager. His first assignment is against a Blackburn side whose manager, in total contrast, is hanging onto his job for dear life. Having said that, Steve Kean has a win against Swansea last week to build on. Here are the all-important team sheets…

Sunderland XI: Westwood, O’Shea, Bardsley, Brown, Bramble, Richardson, Larsson, Colback, Vaughan, Sessegnon, Wickham.

Blackburn XI: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Dann, Givet, Formica, Dunn, Lowe, Pederson, Vuckevic, Yakubu.

Sunderland striker Niklas Bendtner is kept out with a groin injury, and in his place Connor Wickham gets his first league start since October. The visitors are also without a key striker, as Junior Hoilett picked up a training ground hamstring injury that sees him miss out.

Following that it’s over to the Britannia Stadium where Stoke City host Tottenham Hotspur. Stoke’s ambition this season will be to match last season’s success of reaching the Europa League, whereas the visitor’s will have their sights set on returning to Europe’s premier competition after a year out. That’ll then just leave Monday night’s grand finale at Stamford Bridge to bring the gameweek to a close.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open for all today’s action.

As a Nani owner, and got 0.2 to make up to his purchase value, i would say him! lol. I like Valencia, but might be more of a rotation threat than Nani and Young?

No assist for 2nd goal as it was free-kick from handball. I guess there will be no assist for the first one too as the ball rebounded from Blackburn player before the shot.

      None.

1st was a clearance by a Blackburn player.

2nd was from a Formica handball.

    Sczeney > Vorm
    Sess > Nani
    Ramires > Johnson (norwich)

Leaves me with 0 in the bank and an 8 point hit. Worth it? (will only be able to afford Nani until tonight before he rises)

Johnson was on the bench yesterday. Don't know if it was tactical to get Holt and Morrison up front. Might be worth bearing in mind before bringing in. Some may say its knee jerk, but Moses at the same price and guarenteed starts may be the better option

considering the fact that you're ranked in the top 800 I'm going to listen to your advice 🙂

Well, i would defo get some second opinions as there are many on here with more sensible advice. Ive been extremely lucky that my team has picked itself pretty much. Johnson has done me well as he has been the bench fodder, but have used him to good effect when need be. If he is looking at bench time for norwich, i will be getting rid. And Moses really is my only option without freeing up funds

what changes to make for next week? 3.6 in the bank

    Team:

    Krul/Vorm
    Verm, Richards, Enrique (Monk, Wilkinson)
    Larsson, Silva, Bale, Walter, (Allen)
    Ade, VDV, Ba

    Thinking for this week

    a) Richards to Jones
    b) Richards to Smalling to save extra money
Following week Allen to Drenthe for DGW?

    Any other suggestions?

I probably shouldn't have benched him then, in favour of Bale, even though I fancied Stoke to do Spurs today.

At least I had a tenner on Sunderland at half time at 4.8 and then put 15 of the winnings onto Stoke to win. I laid off at 1-0 though so got £46 in the bank and another £32 if Stoke win.
