A hugely significant fixture in the capital tonight, sees Chelsea host league-leaders Manchester City in the final outing of Gameweek 15. The Dugout Discussion has swung it’s doors wide open, so come and and digest the emerging team news…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Bosingwa, Terry, Ivanovic, Cole, Romeu, Ramires, Meireles, Mata, Drogba, Sturridge.
Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Clichy, Kompany, Lescott, Barry, Yaya Toure, Milner, Silva, Balotelli, Aguero.

The visitors line-up exactly as expected, with Mario Balotelli partnering Sergio Aguero upfront, and Pablo Zabaleta replaces the injured Micah Richards. It’s the home side who make a couple of changes from the game at Newcastle, with the free-roaming David Luiz banned and the once guaranteed-starter Frank Lampard dropped. Jose Bosingwa comes in, pushing Branislav Ivanovic infield, as does Raul Meireles, slotting into the midfield.

Aaaarrrgggh. Mata and Silva both 2 points. I've hit 70 points but this has been such a frustrating gameweek. Only 1 bap for RVP (c), Ade and VDV points plus baps for Ade robbed by the linesman. Silva potentially robbed of an assist when ref didn't give a penalty. Chelsea's pensioners taking free kicks from Mata (maybe pen too?). Meanwhile rival gets a lucky Sinclair goal and resulting baps.

Don't think the second Studge assist will be given unfortunately. Perhaps if the game was on Saturday they would take a few days to mull over their decision but the final scores have to be up by the morning and they'll unfortunately not change their minds now

  Assists are awarded to the player from the goal scoring team, who makes the last touch before the goal is scored.
  
  If after this touch, an opposing player touches the ball outside the penalty area altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist is given, except if this intervention directly results in an own goal.
  
  In the event of a penalty or free-kick, the player earning the penalty or free-kick gets an assist if a goal is directly scored, but not if he takes it himself, in which case no assist is given.
  
  All assists are reviewed daily but remain provisional until verified by the Press Association. For the avoidance of doubt, points awarded in-game are subject to change until the Gameweek closes. Once a Gameweek closes, no further adjustments to points will be made.

    In the event of a penalty or free-kick, the player earning the penalty (sturridge) or free-kick gets an assist if a goal is directly scored, My interpretation of that is that sturridge earned the penalty, his shot was handballed to prevent a goal, i would think that the assist will be given later

  If its an assist they'll give it. If it isn't then they won't.
  
  Technically Sturridge didn't win the penalty though, Lescott gave it away by handling the ball. I think if Sturridge had been fouled it would have been different as he would have been directly responsible for earning the pen.
  
  I could be wrong though, so don't go slashing your wrists about it tonight.
