A hugely significant fixture in the capital tonight, sees Chelsea host league-leaders Manchester City in the final outing of Gameweek 15. The Dugout Discussion has swung it’s doors wide open, so come and and digest the emerging team news…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Bosingwa, Terry, Ivanovic, Cole, Romeu, Ramires, Meireles, Mata, Drogba, Sturridge.
Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Clichy, Kompany, Lescott, Barry, Yaya Toure, Milner, Silva, Balotelli, Aguero.

The visitors line-up exactly as expected, with Mario Balotelli partnering Sergio Aguero upfront, and Pablo Zabaleta replaces the injured Micah Richards. It’s the home side who make a couple of changes from the game at Newcastle, with the free-roaming David Luiz banned and the once guaranteed-starter Frank Lampard dropped. Jose Bosingwa comes in, pushing Branislav Ivanovic infield, as does Raul Meireles, slotting into the midfield.

    I can afford 1 more price drop and still make a profit. After that he may go for Mata who is cheaper and thus takes anyway any need for spare cash. Plus if VdV rips it up v Sunderland expect his price to start rising again.

      Thats exactly what I was worried about, that Sunderland match. But ive sold for mata. He looked an injured man at stoke, when someone has had a hamstring injury, it should take a while to get back upto speed. I also cant see him playing everyweek during xmas. I will prob loose a big score but hopefully he wont consistently score till the DGW.

Can't say with any confidence he'll keep a cs vs Arsenal. Will want to get Micah Richards instead eventually. Furthermore he really should've been sent off more than once this season.

Might sell for Baines/Vermaelen till the WC.

    That is a worry. I won't be getting Richards till after the WC though. So it will be closer to when City play in the Europa league, making Zabaleta a cert there, with Richards playing in the prem most weeks.

    Evans is risky, but as long as Jones stays in midfield, he should be relatively safe. Will be rotated fully once the da silva twins are both back i fear. Can't see anything wrong with him as a punt till the wc atleast. I myself will be getting Baines, once he drops.

  I kind of think Ivanovic is a good pick at 6.7m. 4 goals 5 assists in the league last seasons and some more in cups, and the chance that Chelsea are improving. I'd keep. Major set piece threat.

Gentlemen, I'm having an absolute dilemma this evening and would be really grateful for some advice. My plan to bring in Nani has two alternative conclusions, leaving with either:

A) VDV and Sturridge

or

B) Larsson and Adebayor

On one hand, I have serious reservations about going without Adebayor (who my league leader has), but on the other hand, I'd really like some Chelsea coverage. Leaning towards A but VDV's dodgy performance against Stoke and Adebayor's good goalscoring form is giving me a serious headache.

Help me out please, guys!

Wigan away... VDV to Mata tempting me but worth 4 point hit?
Already have nani and ade but no bale. Tottenham fixtures slightly worse than Chelsea but they have the double game. If I don't do it now, will have VDV for 2 weeks min, could drop a lot in that. Then again home to Sunderland.... Decisions decisions....

  I've currently got 1 but am looking at doing Mata>Nani at some point possibly as I'd like some United cover and I'm not too keen on doubling up on Chelsea (esp. with no United etc). Sturridge is too good value-wise to not have - bargain price for a top-4 striker...

Well another Monday Night Football disaster.

I honestly think every MNF this season has been bad for me from an FPL point of view! Anyone else in the same boat? Whether its losing a late clean sheet, a hat-trick for a rival's striker, or players i opted agaisnt bringing in due to fixtures (yes, you, mr sturridge!).

Basically MNF should be scrapped with all games kicking off at 12:45 on a saturday!

      pens arent like freekicks in that respect. every team knows who the PK taker is, free kicks are usually just left at the discretion of the players / angle / distance etc.

HI Guys, Have more or less lost my halfway pot in work but want to dont want to fall too far behind.

Need a few suggestions GK - Krul, Ruddy DF- Richards, Vermaelen, Jones, Wilkinson, De Laet MF-Silva, Drenthe, Brunt, VDV, Ferguson F- Adebayor, RVP, Suarez
The obvious ones are Drenthe and Brunt out but im not happy with silva lately and richards as city are not getting the clean sheets. Thinking Nani for VDV also. I need to do something different to make up the odd points im behind.
Any suggestions would be sweet! Cheers!

    cheers, thinking of O'Hara for Drenthe as his next two fixtures are at home. is Valencia gonna get an extended run in the team?? something tells me VDV is gonna hit another run of form but i donno if its worth the wait now.
